Amish, I guess, not sure. but we had it in Lancaster and it freezes real well. Chicken and broth with corn. Some people but little dough balls in it. Season to taste. Best cooked with fresh sweet corn.

The road in front of my house is plowerld but my car has sniw in on near it. I could get our if i wanted too... i will eventuallynjave to figure out how to clear it off and shovel the end of my drive.

The doors may be frozen shut. It wouldn't surprise me. The street is unmolested, so I guess that I'll give this a try before they come along and fuck things up worsererer.

I am having flash backs to living in PA. My house faced 2 miles of open fields into the prevailing wind. There were almost always snow drifts on the road in front of the house and snow sometimes completely covered our cars. We could be days with out power. A man once got lost and almost froze. Stay safe and warm!

It has a loose wire or fuse somewhere.

I can jigger the fuse and the sound sometimes comes back. Sometimes not.

I would like to refurb it. There’s a guy locally who does it. But he takes forever. I should prob just do it tho.

Maybe cold solder joints. Pretty common in this older stuff. If you can see the bottom of the circuit boards, look for any cracks or other issues around pins of components going into the circuit boards.

Usually bigger components with larger leads.

I would really consider changing the caps too.

But if sound does come out of it, even intermittently, that's a good sign. Nothing major has failed.

Well, this winter storm y’all keep telling me aboot, didn’t materialize. I was all ready too. Nothing but cold rain. Probably for the best but a snow day would have been nice. We used to get the 7 yr snow. Now it’s more like the 12 yr snow. I know, I know…shouldn’t complain when I’m hearing 23” and upwards.

Packing day. Big Ol’ Jet Airliner tomorrow. Unless there were so many cancellations it gums up the works for a few days.
