I hate that every fucking day i argue with people instead of having a simple conversation. I can deal with a window. I can't deal with a blown turbo taking out an engine. So it stays, for now...

At least this one has a "secret hole" you can jab a screwdriver into to be able to shift it into neutral with the engine off. That rolling it into lift bay by hand to do the oil changes.

And don't get me started about this 0W20 oil bullshit. I've seen water thicker than that oil!
Meanwhile, in other countries with the exact same engines, their recommended oil is 5w30.
So it gets factory recommend oil weight, as it's still under warranty. But I change that Mobile 1 every 4K miles, and cut open every filter!
Transmission fluid will get changed at 20K. Gonna start doing that on the truck too.

I really like the hyundai system. The fob just needs to be in your pocket. Tesla detects your phone. I suspect other manufacturers have that also. But it does require a vehicle change

*sigh* Yeah. I like my current vehicle. Was hoping not to need another one.
On the one hand, it's a 2006. So it's on the older side. On the other hand, it's holding up really well and has less tech to confuckulate things.

Subaru is button start. I hate it.

Can't start the car without sitting in it, pressing the brake then hitting the button. Them waiting 5 minutes for everything to boot up.

Of course the brand new Subaru driver's side window won't roll up in this weather. And the dealership is several hours drive each way!
Need to call to see if there's a TSB on it. I know they've had one for the exact same problem with the 2020 models...

That sucks, I can speak from experience. As we used to say, "Make a plan." which was at the company I retired from, more or less. They fired me first because I wouldn't take a position they wanted me to fill. I was vested in my retirement so I was good. The "Make a plan" was more or less, "Plan your escape" Do what you can to get out of the postion or place you are in now. I know I know. I am a genius!!

Yes - I need to make time to check on how invested I am. I love the work... but management and half my team can go you-know-what.
If I'm invested enough... I's got more thinkerizing to be done.

Wat's Maintenance Hint: change the fucking batteries annually.

Check - local hardware store even helps swap out the batteries if it's not busy and I ask very politely.

That part of the fob works fine. Key part works as it should, too. Problem is with the human.
Fucking arthritis and tendonitis sometimes getting in the way.

I think I liked and enjoyed my job. But those people you describe create more work for everyone else. Made me keep to myself and avoid getting sucked into picking up their load. I made life miserable for myself as I have a knack where I can throw them under the bus without ever calling out a name. Plus I was part of a software contract, not a govment worker or contractor. More a privileged outsider with insider control. I didn't make friends at the office when I had to go in.
I dread looking for a job. But am really convincing myself to do it.

Thanks, it's not so bad I just finished window 7 and 8 . 15 more to go. The come with the side tracks. Just taking 16 screws out and getting the old windows and side tracks out are a little strenuous. But I'm doing 2 bathroom windows tomorrow. Tempered so I have to be careful.
