I did befriend a couple of cats at one dock... "Mama Cat" and "Little One."
I was the ONLY PERSON they'd come to and they'd actually jump onto my boat to find me!
Mama Cat was a True BADASS! A coyote was after Little One, one night and she jumped onto it's face, sinking teeth and claws into its head and that f'kn coyote wanted NOTHING BUT LOOSE!! I
I'd make/feed them steamed fish fillets every time I came into port!

No wonder they love you!

With all due respect and with the fullest love in my heart, based on my experience, frozen-and-thawed "milk" no longer is and it should be poured out on the ground as an offering to the gods and begging their forgiveness and for them to remind us all never again to commit such abominations.

I do freeze milk to use for baking. I don't drink it and don't make enough to use up fresh milk.

Good morning denizens of the diner. Wow that was a lot to catch up on. Topics of discussion were everywhere so no summary.

My long time friend who had an accident with a tree he was trimming last week is still hurting. I have known him since college days.

Information was abundant from the breakfast meeting yesterday. My goodness can those two daughters talk!

I'm so sorry for your friend. I hope he's on the mend soon!

What a day. Had to shovel 200 inches of mother nature's hatred and disdain off a roof today.
Only almost fell off twice.
The worst thing is, it's not my roof!

Now a greasy deep fried meal is next. Then sleep, lots and lots of sleep...

Raised 2000 dollars give or take at benefit we gave today. Came home and my friend gave me these bowls . .. walking home and dropped one of the little bowls... i am sick over it...they are anchor hocking fireking..... i am ordering replacement biwl and gonna try kitsuge on the broken one and turn into a trinket dish

Sorry you dropped your bowl. But glad you're going to try to repair it to get some use out of it!

Oh, my! Whoo-fucking-hoo!!! I've finally caught up! Sorry I haven't been on as much lately. I hope I don't get assigned latrine duty again for being AWOL!

I baked today! I decided to try G's shortbread recipe. IDK if anyone else has tried it. If so, what did you think? The cookies turned out pretty good! The dough was STIFF! And a bit crumbly. I'm thinking the next time I make this, I will add a bit more butter. And maybe roll the dough thinner to make sandwich cookies with jam.

It’s been 2 weeks. I know he is trying to keep his breathing normal so he doesn’t get pneumonia. I suspect it hurts to breathe with those broken ribs. He is one year younger than me to the day.

Good morning denizens of this greasy spoon. Normally I would be doing grandpa taxi but the cold and light snow is making that doubtful. Slippery roads are not in my contract .
