The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Saturday, we are looking at 17°F as a high. With wind gusts of 50 miles an hour. It will feel like -15° F as our high temperature. Friday possible inch of snow.
I don't think we get the snow or gusts. But it is getting cold again with 24 as the high. Our wind is Saturday only and will suck at 22mph. Glad you made em look. I will find a way to stay inside. I am to the point that I feel cold wind makes me lazy because I am home, warm and well fed.

I did some checking. It appears that the liquid gets to a temperature that it can't vaporize and stays in liquid form. Which is referred to as freezing. At least thats my understanding.
Right, terminology semantics.

Technically freezing is liquid to solid phase transition. In propane the problem becomes a lack of heat to overcome the latent heat of vaporization. Basically it gets so cold it won't evaporate.

You can safely apply heat to the tank and it will start to vaporize and build pressure again.

The ice on the outside is just water vapor freezing on the tank. It's an indication of the problem happening, but the propane didn't actually freeze. The ice can make the problem worse...

In our case, we run a 1000 gallon tank. Plenty of surface area to absorb heat and vaporize propane when needed.

I have memories of the cold temps in PA plus my experience in the Air Force base in Denver CO. You get older you feel colder I heard today and the last few days we got down close to 32 here. I see the Phillies truck is headed down for spring training which starts next week. Spring is on the way!

I agree with this. Raised in the Northeast I barely recognized the cold as i delivered newspapers on foot every day for 3 years.
Now I bitch if the house is set at 66.
