I usually like George. He does not mention our children and grand children and progeny. Why should we deficate in their mouths and lungs? That is what we are doing and we don't need to. We can do better.
Richard Nixon gave us the EPA when thy Cuyahoga river caught fire. We can stop polluting and global warming but the fossile fuel industry is more interested in making money then the are in the air my great grandchildren are breathing.

Good morning Wat, Wonderer, OM and Sub. Thanks for coffee and memes OM. The spoon denizens are up early or I am sleeping in these days.

A busy day today. The dog gets groomed, I get an afternoon massage and in between I work in getting my bank account and computer straight. 😱.

A comment about group meetings; I would hold them and if one person dominated I would implement the clockwise counter clockwise rule. Going clockwise around the table, everyone would get a chance to speak. Then counter clockwise, a chance for rebuttal on comments made. It worked.

I agree about the environment and future for our children and grandchildren. However I am not sure if others think that is “political “.

Another issue is vaccines which I never thought would be political. I know the science. Again if politics I will back off.

It has been made political. I am older than the average person here. I remember flying into LA and not being able to see the ground for the smog. Most large cities have a brown tint in the air. California cleaned it up. Clean air creates jobs as does renewable energy. 2.8 billion years from now the sun will grow and destroy life on earth. Till then there are a lot of lives to be lived if we don't destroy it first. This is the first time I thought of it but I worked trying to save the planet most of my career in engineering, but was in the Air Force on a nuclear missile launch crew. Humanity can destroy the earth in a couple hours with a nuclear war.
Let me get off my soap box!

Indeed. Happy Hump day. My last 2 cents, my career stated working on clean up of Superfund sites and ended with testing drinking water technologies to produce safe and healthy drinking water. Environmental health has been a large part of my life shaped by Love Canal and the burning of rivers because of pollution. I get a little passionate about health. 😂. Now time for me to descend from my soap box.

I’ve inherited more tackle from assorted uncles than I can shake a stick at. Not to mention all the gear I’ve collected over my lifetime. I think I have one of the original black and white Zebco’s my dad gave me over at mommas stashed away. Last time I fiddled with it, I couldn’t get it to work. Might be time to give it an oil bath.

They almost left me home, but then the HWIC (head weasel in charge) found me and I’m off for NY later. At least I had some time at home this am to get the tribe in gear.

I heard they shut down ELP? 😮🤔. Hmmm…what’s my BiL up to now? 😂
