Three or four years ago, we had a mother and baby Cooper’s Hawk, who were doing just that.

Trying at least… To take out squirrels.

But Cooper’s Hawks are too small and especially the young one could not really get them. He was actually kind of funny to see the baby tried to get the squirrels.

Red tails would have no problem, but Cooper’s Hawks are a bit smaller and would feed more on the birds.

I've never been able to identify the different types of Raptors other than I can tell the difference between a Hawk and an Owl.
