About depression, it manifests its self differently with each individual. I take Celexa at low dose that helps me from spiraling into really negative thinking. Others like my first wife needed meds to help her from deep depression. She said it was like falling into an endless pit. Again, it varies but is very serious. And it’s a real issue as we get older.
Truth.

Everyone be good to themselves. Physically and mentally. Mental health is just as critical.

When I first came to France, in the 1980s, there were thousands of horsemeat butchers (boucheries chevalines), though horse meat was always sold in these separate establishments and not in a traditional butcher shop. They went into a steep decline in the 1990s, however, and have almost completely disappeared now.
Any ideas why what is?

What allergies attack your sinuses this time of year? I have to wait till spring.
For me, it's bright sunny days in the very early spring. There are types of molds that come up through the snow, often called snow mold. (But not the ones the landscapers are worried about. That's all google cares about telling you about...)

Sinus, brain fog, feels like I've been hit by a freight train. Zero energy. Usually starts in March for me, but a good long thaw can start it earlier too.

Looks like we're getting that storm. It's only about 10 hours late. School was canceled this morning.

Temps are in the high 20's and dropping. Wind from the east today, which is even worse for drifting. Visibility drops to near zero and the snow is moving almost exactly horizontal. Sometimes small flakes, other times massive 1" or larger flakes.

So, I guess I'll have to warm up the snow blower later today.

Stay warm and safe out there.

Looking like a better day already.

One: yesterday, I asked my supposed supervisor for help because this place is management intensive. He seems like he is responding. On Monday, I will get two bodies. One will need a bullet. There is Hope for the other one.

Two: I have had several stern talks with the wire butcher weasels and why we can’t do again what we did yesterday. They are not allowed to fuck me. That’s not how this game is played. Apparently, I’m going to have to go down and count noses and make sure they are staffed adequately to do what we need done. If not, Bo will have work.

Three: there is still peace on the horizon with management. That is absolutely for certain necessary. We can’t have Mickey Mouse bullshit. We can’t have angry residents. This will never do.

Four: I finally hooked up my teapot and I’m having a bid morning Darjeeling. I am watching weasels unload a truck. I am waiting for the dumpster company. We are on the downhill slide to lunchtime.

This will do….

Somewhere…in a dusty attic…at either mommas or possibly my own house…I have every Calvin & Hobbes collection of books…somewhere…

Morning Spooners. Hard last few days in the salt mines. Company rats…I’m putting them below weasels. Anyhow, enough bout that.

SWMBO knew I had a hard few days so has my favorite dish all piping hot and ready to eat when I get home. Let me sleep in this a.m., took the kid to the indoctrination center, and brought me coffee in bed.

I’m thinking, what a life! What a wife! Theeeeeennnnn…she informs me she’s paid good $ on some Pilates work out thing she goes to and it’s couples night. ☹️.

I knew she was buttering me up! 🤔

How many times do I have to explain…IT’S DART NIGHT! 🤷🏻‍♂️.

So…would youI roll the dice and go and hope it buys goodwill? Sweat your ass off for one night? Or stand like a man, throw down the gauntlet and go throw darts, drink G&T’s, smoke cigars and have fun?

She’s pouting…I think you know my answer. 🙂

If I don’t return…you know what happened…

Damned if I don't LOVE and miss y'all Spoonies when I can't be here... but when you’re...

hopefully the family namesake offers some solace...
I have been really enjoying some Ryes over the last few years. Growing up it was all bourbon all the time, but I went to a whiskey bar up on the IL/WI line and this pretty little bartender was talking up the Ryes.

Rye just fits my palate. I can’t explain why, but I just like it. Doing a little research…It turns out it was the first “American” whiskey…who knew?

This is my current fav, fairly cheap…they have some pricier versions of course…
