Good Evening Spoonies...
Sorry I haven't been around because I've been ill...
I have Manic Depression & I've been out of the loop for a while and I'm just now climbing out of the abyss. I'm better, but still working on it.... :rose:
You are practically here, just check in here in the morning and get some of Mom's coffee. It is a great way to start the day off. It puts a hop in your step.

I suspect mold is the culprit. When temperatures climb into the 40s mold starts to grow on trees etc. Then the mold excretes spores to which our bodies react.
I am reminded of Ghostbusters and Dr. Egon Spengler famously states his hobby is collecting "spores, molds, and fungus"
I am lucky mold is not one of my allergies living here in FLA it is everywhere.

About depression, it manifests its self differently with each individual. I take Celexa at low dose that helps me from spiraling into really negative thinking. Others like my first wife needed meds to help her from deep depression. She said it was like falling into an endless pit. Again, it varies but is very serious. And it’s a real issue as we get older.

You are fortunate. As I age, my reactions to allergens are less intense. My son, however is very sensitive. He gets allergy shots.

I can understand the age factor. When I was younger after my divorce I got pretty bad but was able to pull out of a deep dive with the aid of talk therapy. Now if I could only figure out a way to cure all these other maladies!

Sorry to hear that RJ. I’m glad you’re on the reverse slope of it… hoping for continued improvement!! 🫂

When I first came to France, in the 1980s, there were thousands of horsemeat butchers (boucheries chevalines), though horse meat was always sold in these separate establishments and not in a traditional butcher shop. They went into a steep decline in the 1990s, however, and have almost completely disappeared now.
Why is that? Do you think? Did it just fall out of fashion?

Just an old-school tradition?

Truth.

Everyone be good to themselves. Physically and mentally. Mental health is just as critical.
