The Duck and the salmon sound quite good!!Good morning denizens of the greasy spoon. Lilli and Kathy have insomnia?
All the talk of game as food reminded me of the challenge my sister gave me one Thanksgiving. She was tasked with a game Thanksgiving. She told me I responsible for the duck which I never cooked! So I got the orange juice and marinated it every hour cooking it on low heat for hours. The crew loved it. I never cooked it again and don’t want to.
These days I am more vegetarian but love my salmon and whitefish. Marinate the salmon with one part bourbon, brown sugar and olive oil.
We will be down in your neck of the woods in mid March to watch some baseball. We should have good weather too, almost summer like. TD Ball park where the Blue Jays play is about a block off the Gulf so there is usually a nice breeze.

Ooh! Then can we smear the cameras with melty marshmallow from a distance using the sticks... and once obscured, do obscene things to it with the sticks... remembering to take them with us afer because... fingerprints

It pains me to think how much of this knowledge we have lost, too.
Clearing cookies and cache are basic troubleshooting steps taken before trying to reproduce the issue reported... and then you engage the vendor.
In other words, the vendor basically responded with an asshole response

Hugs to you....wish i could do something to helpFeckin snow again. I think we're over 3 feet this week alone. Wasn't much out there this morning, but what fell today took over 2 hours to clean up. Probably over a foot since 8am. It's not supposed to stop.
I'm in a pissy mood now. Grinding away all Friday night in a snowblower will do that.
Time to do something NOT snow related. Maybe TV. TV sounds good...
I might not check back in. So goodnight.
What are your top 5 safe foods....I've always been a picky eater. Not many food adventures but -
Alligator Quesidillas in Spokane, WA (chef was Cajun) - tasted like calimari heads (unimpressed)
Oxtail Soup and Turtle Soup in Waterford, Ireland - oxtail tasted like a rich beef stock with really good clarity. I don't recall what the turtle soup tasted like but I finished my portion and felt conflicted.
Escargot - tasted like if you removed erasers from #2 pencils and sauteed them in a garlic butter sauce. Meh
Dried cuttlefish - basically, fish jerky made from baby squid. A half Japanese friend in college turned me onto this tasty snack. I don't tolerate any shelf-stable fish anymore and miss it. More tender than beef jerky. And a fish flavor but not "ew, fish"
Seaweed (nori, wakame, etc) is pretty mainstream now. First tried dried nori in high school biology. Was the only one in the class who would try it. Shocked the teacher by asking if I could have the rest of the sheet to finish.I still like snacking on it... and like the seaweed salad served at sushi and Japanese restaurants, too.
Oh - Ostrich. There was a phase @ 30 years ago when ostrich and bison both got really popular as lean protein options. Never tried the bison, but found a butcher that carried ostrich. Similar to white meat turkey. Very lean, more neutral flavor than turkey so great with all different kinds of seasoning. I loved making stir fry and curries.
I did buy some bison patties. Several brothers voiced an interest in trying it. The youngest 2 were home one weekend when I stopped over with the bison. They had a few friends over. I showed them the patties and they asked if I would cook it up for them all to try. Knowing it was really lean, I brought my George Foreman grill, too.
They tried it and loved it but said they were surprised it was so bland. Raw, the patties were very bright in color. So they all thought I meant Buffalo (seasoning). I had to explain it was the animal not the hot sauce. Positive reviews all around.![]()
I love bisonThere is a bison form near us. They sell freshly butchered meat and it’s excellent!
It is also healthier to eat seasonally...less of the artificial methods of ripening with chemicals that we imgest and make us sick..... i.e. autoimmune diseases and shit we didnt have 100 years agoI am also a big supporter of reducing food miles and eating what is available at that time of year. In the UK, we got used to wanting everything available all through the year. In France they are much better at using local ingredients. It does mean that restaurant menus have much less choice, something Brits find great difficulty with. It is not unusual, in rural areas, to find menus with no choices at lunchtime - one starter, one main and one dessert.
Have you watched klaebo from norway run uphill on skis at a nice clip...??6 min mile?? I think i heard....go Norway.... my home country.... they are amazing. There are stories of the skiers coming out of the mountains to harass the germans in ww2 and then skiing away and not being able to be caughtWatching mountaineering in the Olympics and thinking these are the true athletes. Going up a mountain on skis requires so much strength and stamina.
What a precious angel she will be a strong warrior because i will give her strength beauty smarts and kindness in her heart... and a discerning mind to pick out and pick off the fucktards....Kinda the same thing, Point-N-Laugh style.
I wonder what he said when OM drew her first breath . . . .

I work in 2 fields- one is social media related. The other is secret due to the nature of the site
I am irritated that I’m not yet a grandmother. Ha ha.
I am very “live and let live “.
I am irritated that I’m not yet a grandmother. Ha ha.
I’m definitely ready to be a grandmother. A lot of my friends are, but my kids are not in the space in their lives when that’s a practical reality yet.I'm with Grandchild Only this weekend. I remember talking to a friend whose kids were pregnant. I commented that I wasn't ready to be a grandparent.
He laughed at me and said, "you have absolutely nothing to do with it."
Spare your child(ren) what Dr. Tyler did to me when she asked, "are you sterile or do you not know how?"
