The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

I recall the first time I encountered a coffee truck. It was at a construction site in North Jersey. Most of the guys in front of me ordered a "regular". It was almost half milk and half coffee. I drank a few over the next week or so. It wasn't horrible but now I drink in black.

We called the gut trucks or roach coaches.

A guy would come to your shop or site and have coffee, snacks (Portuguese rolls or good bagels, pork roll sandwiches….)

Guys had a “territory” and god forbid you edge in on someone’s ground. Later the territories were sorted out by organized crime.

I haven’t seen one of those “gut trucks” in a really long time.

My daughter informed me yesterday she doesn’t want kids. It’s up to the other 3 kids now. She was a top contender being the oldest. 😭

When I was in my 20s, I didn't want kids. I changed.

When my son and (ex-) D-I-L got married, I got the idea that kids weren't gonna happen.

The grandson turns six in 6 weeks.

Never say "never" . . . .

My sister had a roach coach in PA for a number of years and we had taco trucks in California.
