That was my immediate thought... take an already rich and heavy dish... and add shellfish...
Mind you, it's easy for me to have an opinion given I don't eat shellfish and Chicken Divan is not the type of dish I would ever consider eating. I'm a near impossible sell on casserole (aka hot dish) in general

I didn't want to pan fry fish inside. Tired of stir fry but its lent and she has rules. So I do my thing. Its still cold here so having a reason to turn the oven on is one thing. The other is I like making cream sauces that have white wine in them. This one as I was researching I found an idea I never tried. Beat the ream until it just starts to peek. Pre-thickened sauce. Worked pretty well too. For next time I will note I can use a little less cream than called for.

They are predicting storms here tomorrow with twisters. The school district wants off the hook and already called 3 hour early dismissal and no after school activities.

For those not familiar, they all met playing in a church band in Houston. Still based there I believe. They’ve done a stint on Austin City Limits, so they’re the real deal. Enjoy

It's still snowing here. Although nothing different than normal. I think they panicked over this storm a little too much. Maybe a foot of accumulation, nothing to even worry about. Yet.

We have nothing. Well, mom and pop places for lumber yards, but nothing big. Horrible Freight opened only a year or two ago now.

Well home after a long day visiting my mum on Mothers Day. Met her at church then headed to hers where my brother cooked lunch. Great to spend time with her but she just seems more frail every time we visit. Her spirit is strong and that carried her through. So tough to see this but sadly inevitable.

It’s a privilege to be with her at my age … even with six hours driving

It is difficult to see.

Went and got antibiotics for dad and picked up a couple outfits from walmart. One pr of pants are too small because i picked up the wrong size... the sweater was cuter on the hanger
