Well today not so great.... just in a funk.... talked to my best buddy today but not even that pulled me out. Ate all day amd i feel sick .... ugh

More observations: We have great bakers and cooks. In retirement we need to open a diner!

Some of us are catching ugly viruses etc. I wish all more healthy days ahead. So far I am doing well except for sinuses. It’s that time of year.

Weather- egads people lost power here and now more high winds coming tonight. The temperatures are swinging back and forth. In like a Lion and hopefully out like a lamb.

That is my neck of the woods. I grew up in Amish country not too far from Intercourse. My grandfather was Amish and never drove. Hershey Park was a great place to go as a kid and an adult.

I enjoyed it! The whole town smells like chocolate!

My dad has an infection of some sort

Well home after a long day visiting my mum on Mothers Day. Met her at church then headed to hers where my brother cooked lunch. Great to spend time with her but she just seems more frail every time we visit. Her spirit is strong and that carried her through. So tough to see this but sadly inevitable.

It’s a privilege to be with her at my age … even with six hours driving

I dealt with too much tragedy like that at a young age myself...
...one from a motorcycle crash, one to a snakebite to the jugular, one bled out in my arms from a knife to the heart and one got crushed when a car fell on him. He had an infant daughter. I bought her a car at the age of 17 so she could get away from her POS mom...
Life can deal some shitty hands at times, maybe that's why I'm an "open book" and look for the beauty in life.
I fully grasp how fragile and finite it can be.
