The AH Coffee Shop and Reading Room 09

I really should re-read Dune. I'm still angry with the movie for trashing the love story between Paul and Chani
I tried, got a hundred pages in and gave up. It's so tediously slow, nothing happens. Which probably explains why I only ever read it once, back in the day. I wonder if I finished it then? Don't know. Possibly not.

I asked her if she had a bunny costume (official costumes are available), and we laughed about it, but, no, she didn't.
'Official' suits are not available. The pattern is tightly and vigorously defended. There have been a number of former Bunny-turned-seamstresses that have made and sold suits based on the official pattern who were ultimately sued and issued cease and desist orders.

There are still some who do it though. There are others who get close, but not close enough for court action.

Some Vintage official suits have been sold at auction for prices in the thousands of dollars, but the material is often degraded enough to be unwearable. These were tailored to the person for an extremely close fit and one Bunny would not likely be able to wear the suit of another.

@MrPixel, if she's comfortable posing online, then letting her know you admired her modelling probably be an appropriate response.

Dune... I read all the books, but only really liked the first book. I plowed through the rest because I'm a masochist.

It's a cold but sunny morning with the sun glinting off the frost covering everything. As cold and snowy as December has been here, it will be 68 and sunny on Christmas Day. No snow to be seen or forecast anytime in the next two weeks. Oh, well ...

I've got a fresh pot of coffee brewing and the teapot is hot. Donuts and Christmas cookies are on the counter. Someone dropped off a breakfast casserole that looks yummy.

After I wade through the overflowing gifts, I'll be over in the corner working on my story. I saw a gift for me under the tree but I'm not going to pick it up and shake it to see what it is. I don't know what to do with all of the gifts for @iwatchus since they aren't here any more ...

That's what happened the one time I tried to read Journey to the Center of the Earth.

I loved it, the universe building really struck a chord with me. It was decades later when I finally tried to build a universe of my own and a lot of what Dune gave me helped in the creation.

I got Mrs. D a great Christmas gift to go along with the Reverse Osmosis filter I had installed -

Coulee.jpg
The Coulee Swirl coffee maker. It holds a filter of coffee under a sprinkle of hot water and swirls it around making sure each granule of coffee releases it's flavor. It comes with pre filled filters or empty filters you can put your coffee in. I'm a Folgers + Mr. Coffee = Nirvana kind of guy so this was perfect for me - a well made single cup brewer that I can easily adjust the amount of coffee in the device. It makes a better cup than my French press and that's saying a lot!

She loves it! She wanted to take it on her field trip to visit the grandchildren but somehow when the car was packed Mr. Coulee was accidentally left behind. I'll keep it warm and cared for while I tend to the dogs this week.
