I haven’t seen any posts in this thread denying the serious risks that AI poses. I have however, seen posts dismissing AI as a “bubble”, as if it’s a passing fad that yields no transformational economic and social value, and will soon come crashing down and go away. That is a very naive take.

Will there be a depression or deep recession, and if so, how long will it last? If there’s a stock market crash, how deep and how long? Do tell!

Techno-fascists like to talk about the wonderful things that AI will do for humanity, but the primary purpose of data centers, by far, is tracking consumers in the Brave New World of the corporate surveillance state.

If investors thought that social media and Flock cameras got pushback, wait till the data centers feel the full wrath of affected communities.

In one way or another, this data center bubble is so encompassing it affects everyone's 401K.

Hacking the entire internet would be a problem.

I was listening to a guest on a media outlet that will remain nameless stating that according to their intelligence reports China is actually putting strict AI control on commercial and public AI but is forging ahead with military use. How they separate the two was never mentioned.

What worries me the most is with Quantum computing AI will eventually be able to predict the results of DNA/RNA combinations which medically would be the fountain of youth but could lead to the creation of pathogens that truly could wipe out the human race.
