There have been some strange ones. I thought some of my thoughts were a bit strange

Perhaps she does that to try and make herself looker bigger and more dominant.

It is usually a sign of someones insecurities and inferior confidence when they try to belittle someone else, which is what she appears to do here.
I know, and can sympathise how tough it may be, what with families and what not, but you really should try to stand up to her, and I don't mean fisticuffs or all out aggression, but just a pointer to her that she is not better or superior to you, and if she wants your respect, then she needs to look at herself before criticising others.
