The Bard's Table Inn

"oh boy! an old man!"
"For the love of the true godssss. Everything excitesss that Kender."

"Is this gonna be fun?" I ask mischeviously, having somehow insinuated myself into this. "Because if it is, you can count me in! Besides, you could need someone who could do the stuff I do." I look at the vampire, not minding as long as she doesn't try to feed off me or Vixen. I grin at thwe kender, then pull him aside, whipsering something into his ear. He grins hugely, then nods eagerly and runs off. When the draconian stares at me distrustingly, I just smile sweetly and say, "He won't get into trouble..."

"Yeah right, if he takes a breath he gets in trouble", said Dark under his breath.

"Not even." replied Silak, quietly. "just the sight of him was enough to bring a mob on our backs back in merilitak city"

"Chearssss?" Silak was not familiar with that expression

"It means happy times", he said knocking his cup into Silak's and taking an enormous gulp.

Rose watched the others with a half smile. She wondered absently where Deblin had been sent and quite honestly when she'd decided to go with this group.

"Not that I'm doing anything," she thought with a smirk and as long as she wore protective clothing or they traveled at night she'd be fine. Besides, it'd been a couple decades since she'd had a good adventure, why not?

Then the blood matter came up agian though, and she doubted she'd get anyone to donate. She absently flicked her gaze around and wondered if she'd snag a quick bite soon, it didn't seem likely. Which meant cow from the stable tonight. she sighed and reminded herself to tip the Inn keeper well.

Dark walked over to Rose."My Lady, I think I know what you are wondering, is it how to feed? Well, I have an answer. It's going to cost me, of course, but I can afford it. Do you like unicorn blood?" he asked, smiling.

Silak heard darm and simled. The stories say that a unicorn is incapturable, as something allways goes wrong. It's no suprised that there was unicorn blood about, and not an actuall live unicorn.

Vixen grinned at Daek. "Oh indeed, when have you NOT had fun with me hmmm?" Daek always made the journey's somehow lighter.

Vixen frowned at Dark's referal to Unicorn's blood. "Sir, I don't know how you came about having such a thing, but Unicorn's are sacred to my species. I would thank you not to bring it up again in my presence is that understood?" She didn't wait for his reply. Daek patted her shoulder comfortingly which helped her release the tension she had been holding. She smiled at her old friend. "Thanks"

"Okay... there is a couple of hours before dusk..." Vixen smiled at Rose, "as some of us find it easier to travel at night I suggest we do that, after all it can get very hot in these parts during the daylight hours."

Everybody seemed to agree. She grinned to herself. She was a master at organising teams like this. People didn't seem to realise when they had opted to join, but they always came along. Vixen pulled Sabaka aside. "Feel free to use my quarters... I'll only need to grab my pack... you may need a few hours rest before we leave." She smiled, "I won't disturb your rest... I have a lot of catching up to do with my friend..."
Sabaka grinned a silly grin as he looked at Daek again. Vixen raised one elegant brow which caused him to blush. She smiled, quite aware of the affect Daek had on people. She patted Sabaka's hand reassuringly. "Soon we will be heading towards the wise person... I'm sure all your questions will be answered there." Her eyes sparkled with warmth.

"Silak, Dark... I hope if you are joining us moving at night will not be a problem?" They both agreed that it would not be a problem. She nodded and smiled. She turned to Rose and Daek, "Ladies... if I might have a word?" Again she smiled as the three of them moved towards the fire place.

Silak began thinking; Siak dragonians shapeshift into their killer when they die, so they can gain revenge before oblivion. If a sivak died of old age, what would they turn into? the thought, along with the alcohaul induced Buzz, started to give him a headache.
Draconians are notorios for their love of the drink, and despite their high threshold, they know when to stop. Silak had many Ale's, spirits and even threw down a nasty gutbuster. His head may have buzzed, but his sinces were still alert. He hoped that dusk will come soon, lest his own thoughts kill him.
Delbin suddenly walked up. "Hey silak, there are some amazing people here. I haven't seen this many types of people since I met heroes of the war of the lance! I really should write this down!" Delbin reached into his pouch for his book, and pulled out something else. "Hey, this isn't my book!"
"Hey, give that back you little thief!"

I smile at Vixen and follow her to the fireplace. Looking at Rose, I realize part of the problem and say softly, "I've always wondered abou the so~called ecstasy that comes with your kind's luncheoning... Mayhaps you could help me understand better?"

"Strange", thought Dark," that unicorns are sacred in her land. Dragons are sacred in mine". He stood up off the chair he was sitting in. He walked into the forest.

Rose smiled at Daek.

"I'd be happy to..."

Rose thought quietly of Dark's offer. Vixen was right, while she adored unicorn blood, she'd only taken it when given by the actual unicorn. She smiled sadly. She rarely saw the unicorns anymore. The last time she'd seen a herd was when she and a friend wizard had sealed a vally for them. Over a hundred years ago....

She shook her head and turned back to her newfound companions.

"Are we going? or not? I grow impatient." Silak spoke lowdly to Vixen, who seemed to lead this strange entourage.

I raised one eyebrow and looked at the draconian. "Learn patience! It works most of the time. Remember, there is no right or wrong, only fun and boring!" Conjuring up my traveling supplies and swingin my pack over my shoulder (all supplies within) as I tie my swordbelt around my waist. I took Vixen's arm in one of mine and Rose's in the other, then danced out the door into the night, singing, "We're off to see the wizard, the wonderful wixard of Oz!" then kender joins in as we happily skip down the yellow brick road.

(i bet yer thinkin i've seen too many poppies lately...)

Vixen laughed at Daek's pretty little ditty as she forced her and Rose along at a skipping pace. She shook her head, the girl was just incorigable, and soooo much fun! She found herself skipping outside to where her pack was waiting for her. She sliped it over her shoulders looking back to see if all were following. She wasn't disappointed. The 'gentlemen' followed, some armed rather more heavily than Vixen personally thought was necessary but she was sure she wouldn't be complaining if they actually were attacked by anyone with nasty intentions.

Delbin scampered along instantly understanding the tune and singing along, adding rather interesting variations on the lyrics. Vixen raised a brow and burst out laughing at one particularly interesting verse.

Rose smirked and well...skipped. Why not? With a quiet thought her bag appeared around her shoulder. She loved magic, made for less awkward moments.

Dark caught up with the rest of the group and did not skip or do anything but walk.
