The Barr hearing.

Opinions are like bellybuttons, everyone has one. Appealing to authority on a subject you, personally know nothing about is not very solid rhetorical ground. Any position you want to take on any issue has its share of "experts" supporting that position.

Being able to find an "expert" supporting your position who is advancing an argument that you are not equipped to understand is not a valid rhetorical device. If you cannot explain, in your own words, what it is that "your" so-called expert is asserting, you don't even have entree to debate. Not even in seventh-grade debate are they allowed to argue dueling citations.

You seem to get a lot of your self-worth being an overpaid union hack.

You really should quit discrediting yourself.

I think it's more simply stated than that:

I cited to existing US Supreme Court precedent.

He didn't.

Yeah. Like anyone here other than me is going to read ANY of that.

And NONE of this comes close to addressing the issue of when "pertinency," which is at the heart of Rob's Teapot Dome legislative reference, comes into even theoretical conflict with the Separation of Powers doctrine.

For Rob or anyone else to think for one minute that Trump's status as a "federal employee" subjects him to 1920s legislation expanding Congressional subpoena power that "trumps" (no pun intended) the rest of the Constitution that creates co-equal branches of government, IS that very thing that makes Rob uniquely.....well, Rob-stupid.

There are laws and legal procedures that even a sitting President is NOT above. But you would have to be an unmitigated idiot to believe that post-TeaPot dome legislation is one of them.

I tried. I really really tried.

But, if they insist on entering the fray sans knowledge or skilz, who am I to stop them from fulfilling their destiny as Lit's greatest idjits?

The linky isn't even that difficult to peruse or understand if you put a bit of effort into it. You don't even have to read the footnotes to get up to speed on the subject.

Right Wingnuts just spent two years screaming about how Mueller was part of the Deep State conspiring against Donnie. Deplorable hypocrisy in action.

And Trump's approval rate isn't going up. It hasn't changed since the Mueller Report.

They're watching the whole Russian theme swirl down the commode so anyone, and I mean anyone, that's had anything to do with the investigation is "in on the conspiracy."

Barr, Mueller, Rosenstein, all of those bastards are out to conspire against them.

And Trumps approval ratings keep going up while the conspiracy media's ratings keep going down. You'd think someone would have a clue by now.

Left Wingnuts just spent two years screaming about how Mueller was going to take Donnie down. Deplorable hypocrisy in action. Didn't happen did it cupcake? Lol. So let's change tactics and go (yet again) for the tax returns.

And Trump's approval rate is going up as well as my stocks. It has been so much better since the Mueller Report.

Damnit :(

Edited for fyp numbnuts. Lol.

Edited yet again to say "hi" vera.

Dem. congressmoron, "We demand the unredacted report NOW!!"

Barr, "Go pound sand."

Between this thread and your other thread, it seems to me, upon a bit of reflection,
that the people most likely to demonize Alex Jones
(as the poster boy of conservative thought)
with this issue are having their very own

Alex Jones moment.

They had so much vested in this story that everyone knew was true
that facts no longer matter ; it's a vast, right-wing conspiracy
to hide the truth from the Progressive People
of the real America.

Stop taking lessons from the Que school of Freudian psychopornology.
Your antics simply amuse me.:rolleyes:

Lettuce all celebrate the loss of a privilege.

Just because.

Any dumbass that trades rights and liberty for a short term gain for perceived safety and security deserves emmy driving your gay ass into the ground for eternity.

Or, so along those lines.

FUCK OFF hashbrown!

LOL

Well, I don't intend to morph into your troll, so it was just a one off.
I just thought that, after our last interactions, a toeskr tribute was overdue.
To paraphrase DMBFF:
..."..".. :D ...

When one devolves into licking oreos smegma, all is lost... for you.

And now I will post links to a few hundreds of thousands of ad dollars as proof of multi-millions spent a month to elect the orangutan...

For so many, once they walked to that ledge threatening to jump
there seems to be no way down with dignity.
Jumping just never seemed to be

~~~ an option ~~~
Well, now that the criminal referrals are flowing in the opposite direction it may not be so much a matter of having to jump as it will be being pushed. :D
When push comes to shove.
:cool:
They might 'distrust' Barr today, but tomorrow, they may hate him...
... then it will be the time to let sleeping dogs lie.
