The Battle of Good Vs. Evil

Gabriel:

We had tried everything. The door would not budge. One of the angels who had been searching for an alternate exit descended from the ceiling and came to the rest of us.

"Jibril, I found no other way out. What is the status here?"
"Well, my dear companion, we have tried everything: praying, more praying, blessing God, ..." I am cut off mid sentence.
"Did you try turning the knob?"
"Didn't try that one," I muse to myself.

Twisting the knob, the door creaks outward. Luckily, these doors have an escape clause built in.

Cristian stood there and with a sigh wondered how he had gotten it wrong. He turned and looked at Frank and St. George.
"Be careful out there. This place has gone to hell- literally and I don't think that you want to be destroyed out there or you will just go back to where you were before."

He knew that what he had just said was particularly harsh but there wasn't any other way that he could have put it. He wanted to see the two of them again- he wanted to win this battle with those two at his side. He then remembered the angel and ran out of the room and to one of the other rooms of the school to see her standing there talking to a little girl.

He walked up behind her and looked at the girl who looked up at him with a smile and said, "I'm sorry to do this darling but I have to take this delightful woman with me. If you object then I can leave her here to talk with you. It is all up to you."

Eve

She stood talking to the delightful child, Sarah. She was telling her all about her doll's adventures in the bombshelter today. She turned when she heard Cristian's voice.
Her eyes darkened a little with worry, what was wrong now?
She leaned down and kissed the child on her forehead.
"You go back down into the shelter and stay safe with your mother. Remember what I told you Sarah. Do not go outside this building, there are bad guys outside. K?"
Sarah nodded her head, a serious look on her face, and skipped down the hall.
She stood back upright and turned to Cristian.
"What's wrong? Where do we have to go?" She was worried there was more advancing demons outside, she didnt know if she could muster up the strength she needed to help this time. She felt a tremor shoot down her body, this was not a pleasant thought. She turned back and watched as Sarah vanished down the stairs. To be young and care free once again. She sighed, and gave her full attention to Cristian.

Cristian took a step back and wondered what she was talking about. She had asked him to accompany her to the bomb shelter and he had decided that he should. He stood there for a second, "You asked me to accompany you but maybe it was a mistake to do so. I'll just go and watch the front of the school, just in case Lucifer decides to send more of those things here."

He turned and walked away from her, wondering if he had just said or done the right thing. He knew that he hadn't but he didn't want to get too attached here. They were in the middle of a war and he didn't want to see here die in front of him and have his soul ripped from him. He walked towards the front doors and opened them then spread his wings and flew to the roof of the school.

Eve

Now she was very confused, She had asked him to come down with her. And that was where she was heading when he stopped her. Ok she needed to think. She turned and watched him go, her mind working way to fast for reason. Then she followed.
She let her wings appear and flew up to the roof.
"Cristian?" She spotted him and landed. Walking over she crouched down by him.
"Sorry, forgive me. It has been a long day here. I was muddled a little, and thought you meant go somewhere else." She sighed.
Looking down over the grounds she seen several guards walking back and forth between small areas.
"Please accompany me down to the bomb shelter. I need help with someone who can do it. I can not help them all alone. I dont even understand why I was sent. One lone angel, with so many human's to protect?" She let the thought drift off. She took his hand in hers, "Come with me?" She sensed good in him, winning over the darker side. She wondered how she could show him she did need some kind of help? She finally unmasked her thoughts, letting him, if he chose to, see what was inside her mind.
"There are injured people down there, and not enough hands to help." She waited patiently for him to decide.

Michae looked up at the sky. Worse could not even begin to describe what was going on. One thing God was good for, a curve ball.
This was a definite doozy.
"The key?"
The messenger nodded.
Lucifer had the key. She no longer needed to fight here on earth, the fight here was useless now, to both parties. She could easily just go to heaven and destroy it. Then...
Well, ladies and Gentleman, in any game of chess the game is automatically over once the king is mated.
She has a ticket right to the end of the game, and all he could do is sit and watch.
No, perhaps not.
The troops, there was one chance, one final stand. She still had to get to the gates. Once she was inside, it would be too late, but if he put up enough guards at those gates.
That would be suicide; the amount of angels sent to protect Heaven's gate would make his army here simply useless. Right now he had a little less than a thousand soldiers.
Up shit creek without a paddle.
Yes, and a waterfall was coming up.
Oh, did he forget to mention he couldn't swim?
Might as well add some piranha's in the water too. Maybe some leech's, and a hungry alligator or two.
Yeah, that'll sum up the situation right nicely.
Michael looked back at the angel, shaking his head in defeat.
"Send the strongest angels up to heaven. Five hundred at least, tell them to guard the gates at all cost. No one gets through, you here me. The order from Michael "ABSOLUTELY NO ONE GETS THROUGH!
"And if Peter is seen, kill him on the spot. Slit his throat, and send him back to Lucifer."
"Aye Michael!" The angel flew away.
Grabbing a small bag, he put it over his shoulder. In an instant he had flown off. Gabriel, that's who he needed right now. Gabriel and the angels he had gone with. With their forces now cut in half, he had to have someone who could work well with smaller armies.
Gabriel was a whiz at this. They would have to work to try and get things somewhat to a normal position again.
Back at the theatre, there was no one in sight. Raphael had gone, leaving only an empty building. Probably moving over to the school, he wanted to go there, and see how things were going, but he didn't have time.
Shit, he didn't have time to do anything.
An angel flew back, looking at what was camp, and then started to fly off again.
"Whoah... whoah wait. What are you doing?"
"I'm just looking for base."
He told them where things had moved.
"Do you know where Gabriel is?"
"Last I heard he was still in hell."
Still in hell? How was that possible? He should have been out by now. Unless... unless he had died as well.
No, he could loose half of his army, and even have Peter be some horribly betrayer to God's good graces, but not Gabriel. If he lsot Gabriel...
Michael flew off, back to the park.

Cristian felt every emotion and every thought that was going through the angel at that moment and knew that he had to help her. He turned to her, "I will help you. I can't just sit up here with my own thoughts knowing that those people down there are suffering. Tell me what you need me to do and I will do it."

He jumped down from the roof, letting his wings slow him down just enough to land. He looked up towards the roof and watched for the angel, Eve- her name was Eve as she landed next to him. He turned to her, "We should go and help those people."

He then felt a coldness that he had felt only once before and turned to see a dark angel landing in front of him. Only this dark angel was no normal one- it was his old lover and the one that had corrupted him. He looked at her with a cold stare and she said, "Why Cristian. It looks as if you aren't happy to see me. Why aren't you happy to see your lover Cristian."

Eve

She landed just behind him, turning just in time to see an evil presence arrive. Eve felt a shiver pass through her body, and quickly masked her mind once again. The Angel asked why he wasn't happy to see her? Eve felt like laughing with sarcasm. Who would want to be near that? She moved to her thigh, unstrapping her dagger. She waited to see what would happen now.
She felt her inner strength building up, she had to protect this school and those in it and around it. And if she had to, she would send this Dark Angel back to hell in a gift wrapped box.
Her mind was on two things, This drama before her and helping those who lay bleeding downstairs.
She moved up behind Cristian, her eyes never leaving the other female.
"Cristian? Don't give in." The statement said it all in those few words. Dont let the evil side win, and do not leave with that creature of hate. She knew she had no power to make him stay, but she seen the good in him, and She wasn't about to let him go without some advice.
Her dagger cleared its sheath, and she waited.

Cristian stood there and looked at his old lover and heard Eve pull a dagger from her sheath. He put one hand in front of her and said, "No. This is my fight and I mean to see this woman destroyed."

He took a step towards her and saw her smile at him as she moved forward. He raised one hand before him and before she could do anything fired a bolt of lightning at her.
"You will not harm the people in that school Emilia. You have corrupted me and made me do things that I will feel for the rest of my life. For that you must pay!"

Cristian firing a wave of energy at her which Emilia easily blocked then looked at Cristian. She raised her hands and before Cristian knew it made a globe of energy appear around him. She began to laugh as he began to fight and said, "You are coming with me Cristian.... you are coming back with me to hell so that Lucifer can strip all of that good out of you."

Eve

She stood back, her dagger back in its sheath. He wanted to do this alone, so be it. She backed up until her back hit the school wall. She watched as Cristian attacked her. The dark angel easily avoided his attack. Eve felt a chill go down her spine as the creature laughed at him, her hands glowing with an orb. She fired back at Cristian and enveloped him into a globe.
Eve's mind starting working in a hurry "What to do now?" He would go back with her unless he broke her hold over him. She held her breath, just a moment longer Eve! Give him a chance to fight back. She wanted to help so badly her teeth hurt, but she would wait just a moment longer. Perhaps he could get himself out of this? As weak as he was though? Was he completely recovered from the earlier attack? Eve wasn't sure, but took a fighting stance, calling apon her powers. She slowly let them build, watching.. Waiting..
If this creature tried to take him, and he couldn't free himself, Eve would attack.

Cristian

Cristain pounded his fists against the globe and heard Elicia laughing at his futile attempts at escape. He knew that he was weak and he didn't have enough energy to escape or fight back. He looked over at Eve and hoped that he could send a message to her. He cleared his thoughts- Eve, I was wrong. I need your help. I can't be taken back to Hell.... I would be destroyed there.

Elicia looked at Cristian and said, "She won't hear you Cristian. You have an evil soul and you can never talk to an angel like that."

Eve

She moved forward as he banged on the globe walls, his face full of fear. She opened her mind to him and watched his eyes.
"Do not fear Cristian, I won't let them take you!"
She moved forward, calling attention to herself. She felt a chill meeting this beast's eyes, but she stood firmly planted. Her will was stronger, Her goodness was stronger. And this bitch was going down!
She wouldnt request he be released, she knew it would do no good. She heard Cristian's words in her mind, her eyes opened a little in surprise, but she said nothing. Not letting on she heard him.
She focused her power, already bringing up a glowing orb. Kill evil with kindness, so shall it be. She braced her left leg behind her, and sent the orb at the creature full force. The orb hit into her chest, sending her back a step.
Eve started to pray as she concentrated her powers for a stronger hit. The creature roared out in anger, and threw a greenish flame at her. Eve crashed back into the wall, groaning out in pain, her arm bleeding. She got up, her head swam slightly, but she was able to gain her feet.
"You! Will. Not. Take. Him!" Her words were her bond.
She focused harder, sending another golden orb into this beasts chest, Knocking her to her knees. Eve didnt give her time to recover, she sent another. her aim true, she hit this creature in the face. Eve's face stern with determination, her arm throbbing in pain. The creature lifted her head and from her mouth came a painful shock. Eve was once more slammed into the side of the school. This time smacking her head into the brick.
Eve fell to the ground in a heap, her eyes bluring, her ears ringing.
Eve had never felt pain like this before. She shook as she rose again to her feet, her back braced against the wall. She started to pray outloud this time. And with each painful step forward, her words grew louder.
She aimed one last time, putting everything she had inside into it, she fired once more at the creature. The orb grew before her, covering her upperbody, blocking out Eve's view of the creature. Her voice ringing out loud and clear "Go to Hell you Bitch!" She fired the last of her power at the evil Angel. As Elicia rose to her feet, the orb made contact. Eve watched in fascination and horror as the orb wrapped itself around Elicia's body. She thought for sure the creature had absorbed it into herself, and was using it to build her own power up when the orb threw her up into the air.
Eve watched in horror as before her eyes the creature started to literally melt inside the orb. The creatures screams of pain with held from the world. The orb started to glow blood red, and pulsate.
She turned to jump for cover, Cristian's prison breaking a split second before the orb in the sky errupted into, what only could be described as, a pile of ooze.
Eve landed hard, her body not taking anymore, passed out. She didnt see the final ending to the Dark Angel, she saw only blissful blackness.

Cristian fell to the ground and rushed over to where Eve lay. She had been injured in the battle against Elicia and he knew that everything that had happened to her was his fault. He slowly picked her up off the ground and carried her into the school. He moved as quickly as he could to the room that he had been taken to and lay her down on the bed then stood up and looked at her.

She was hurt badly and he could feel that her life energy was at its lowest. He knew that he had to do something but what was he going to do. He knew that he could heal her but he hadn't been able to do that since he had been corrupted but he had to at least try. Cristian knelt down beside the bed and slowly put his hands onto Eve's body then closed his eyes and began to pray.

Suddenly he heard God's voice in his head, Your prayers will be answered my son. She will be healed as will you.

With that Cristian felt a great energy pass into his body and he looked down at his hands to see that they were glowing with a brilliant white light. He could see the wounds on Eve's body begin to heal and feel her energy slowly returning. Just when he thought that it was over a greater wave of energy flew into his body and Cristian felt the dark inner part of his soul disappear until there was nothing left but the good that had been there before.

Cristian stood and slowly opened his wings, looking at them to see that they were now white instead of black. He looked up at the ceiling with tears in his eyes and said, "Why god. What have I done to be healed?"

You were about to sacrifice your life in order to save the people in that school. You could have been destroyed but you would not let that happen. You have been healed Cristian- you are whole once more. Now, help Eve and the others to put an end to this war.

"But Lord- St. Peter has given the keys of Heaven to Lucifer. She will be able to enter at any time."

What. You must tell Michael of this. She must not be allowed back into heaven or all existence as we know it will be erased.

Cristian sat back down on the chair nearest him and wondered what he could do. He could not leave this school as there were people here that needed his help. There had to be some way of telling Michael this and fast.

Eve

She slowly came awake, she glanced around at the ceiling. Wondering where she was, and how she got there. Then her memory came flooding back to her at once. She sat straight up and looked around the room.
"What happened?" her eyes met Cristian's.
"You healed me?" She was amazed, but not really too much.
She lifted her arm and moved it around, it was if it had never happened. She did not feel tired, nor pain. Her head wasnt pounding and her energy was restored.

"But... How?" She sat there, just really confused.
Then she noticed something different about Cristian.
She gasped and covered her mouth, her eyes tearing up.
Her voice was low, near a whisper. "Your wings..... They're white again!" She leapt off the bed and hugged him. A strange reaction but she did it anyways.
"You are healed inside and out." She pulled back.
"Welcome back Cristian." She smiled and released him. This was joyful news in a dreary day. She felt a sadness come over her for a moment. He may be holy again, but would he die as many have already?

Cristian

Cristian felt Eve's arms around her and at first didn't know what to say or do. She was happy that he was holy again as was he but he knew that in this war the worst thing that he could be was one of the true angels. Lucifer would come after him with a vengance now, especially since he had just told God of her plan.

He looked into Eve's eyes and saw the sadness there and knew exactly what it was for. She was afraid that he was going to die now that he was whole again and for some strange unknown reason he had the same feeling within him. He placed his hands onto her face and said- his voice now totally different. It was more calm, pure and full of a warm, glowing power, "Eve. We have to stop Lucifer and St. Peter. If either of them make it into Heaven then everything that you and I love will be destroyed and that is something that I don't wish to happen so I have a favor to ask of you. Can you please go to Michael and tell him of this while I watch this school. Please, I need you to do this for me, please."

Eve

"But..?" She thought for a moment. "But the messenger was sent to Michael already?" She felt the same sudden fear.
"Alright, but guard them well. I will go seek out Michael, and return as soon as possible."
She wanted to say more, but decided against it. She walked out of the room and down the hallway.
She stopped Thomas "Guard well, I will return shortly. Be sure to double each post. God Bless" She walked outside and unmasked her wings, stretching them out to their full length and took flight.
She did not know where to find Michael, but she would do her best. Eve opened her mind up and sent out a message, she needed to know Michael's location. Hopefully some one would answer her.
As she flew over across the sky she looked down at all the beauty Lucifer had spread out. People were emerging from their hiding places, stunned. Many were laughing and cheering. Thinking this battle was over. She was saddened, they would be heartbroken when they found out it was an illusion. And Lucifer was just buttering up for the moment. She glanced ahead and seen a hole in the Illusion.
"Michael!" She knew he was there, putting holes into Lucifer's handy work.
She flew towards the destruction, There was either Michael or another angel there, ruining Lucifer's fun.

Gabriel:

Flying from the false entrance to hell, I notice that New York has changed quite a bit since I descended into the tunnels several hours ago--or was it days?

Into the air, we charge; eight shining angels against the darkness of the erupting city. I gaze downward and shrewdly remark to the angel flying next to me, "Wow, New York's looking cleaner than normal." My sarcasm getting the better of me.

Surveying the cityscape, looking for a battle or another entrance to hell, I notice that instead of warring armies of good and evil, the scenery is calm: much like the calm that one would expect if he happens out of his cellar during the eye of a hurricane. Instead of peaceful, this calm holds apprehension and solemness.

From the dark clouds above, an envelope parts the light blue sky. Snatching it from above me, I tear through the paper and my own embossed name to reveal the contents. Inside, I find a note from the Almighty.

Jibril,
The gates to Heaven are in peril. Peter chose the other side. Come quickly.
---Shadai

Peter? Of all people? How could he commit treason? My many questions remain within my head as I create a portal to Heaven. More questions surface as I fly higher. Will we make it in time?

Frank and St. George had finished surveying the area. It seemed the school was safe from demons for now. (They weren't around to see the fight.) Frank turned to George, "Well what do we do now? I say we get out of here and try to find some of the demon army." George stopped in his tracks, "I sense a great evil in the basement of the school."

The pair rushed down to the basement, flashlights in hand. The basement was filled with desks, bookcases, and other surplus office furniture. George ran over to a desk, "It seems the energy is coming from under this desk." Frank drew his pistol and carefully lifted the desk to find a pile of green slime. "Um...What the hell is that? Yesterdays's luch special." George gasped, "No I'm afraid that's necroplasm, the life blood of demons." "Wait it's blood right? So that could be from one of the dead demons." "If it were I wouldn't sense it. Alert Eve and Christian, we have a demon loose in the school."

Cristian

Cristian stood there and watched as Eve flew off and then turned back to the school. He knew that he had to stay here and watch the school, he had said that he would. He walked back into the school and the first thing that he felt was the evil that was coming from somewhere within its walls. There was something that wasn't right around here.

He rushed quickly towards one of the rooms and looked around, seeing nothing but huddled people that looked frightened. He put his right hand in front of him and said that there was nothing to worry about. He hated lying to them but he didn't want to frighten them more by saying that there was something loose in the building that was out to kill them.

He walked towards the main area of the building and suddenly heard footsteps coming his way. He formed a ball of energy in his hand and looked just to see Frank and St. George appear as if from nowhere.

Michael watched the letter fall, and again as Gabriel left. He felw down, pounding his fists in the nearest thing he could find. An aging car was the poor respondant.
"FUCK!" He screamed into the air.
Now Gabriel was gone too. What kind of game was everyone playing? This was just too much, really, all of it. Lucifer acting strange, Peter switching sides, Gabriel having secret conversations with god, his forces depleted to mere nothing, hell coming to destory earth covered with chocolate kisses, Raphael leaving and hiding the new hospital/camp away from anyone, Wrathlance bringing something new and even more forceful to earth.
And then there was him, stuck in the middle, but lost... completely and utterly lost.
He sunk into the ground, breathing hard. In and out, trying to concentrate on just his breath. Anything else too hard.
"Ok... ok, I can do this. It's not that hard. Lucifer needs to be stopped, that's the important thing, just keep your mind set on that."
Lucifer, he breathed in, Lucifer.
He hadn't realized his palms were bleeding.

Eve

She heard a male voice screaming out a few obscene words. She landed and hid her wings, walking up to the angel on the ground.
"Hello?"
She tapped his shoulder, and gasped when he turned to face her.
"Michael?" why was he cursing?
"Michael I was sent here to tell you, in person about Peter..."
She looked down at his clenched fists, blood seeping out.
"Oh no! You are hurt?" She crouched down, reaching for his hands.
"You should come with me back to the school Michael. Cristian needs to speak with you, but he is afraid..."

"I'm fine, it's..." he turned away from her, "It's just a scratch."
Michael looked at the car that was now a pile of metal. He had actually done that? Well, talk about strength, he didn't know he had it in him.
"What are you doing here? You were supposed to be helping the humans like God commanded..."
Cristian? Who in the hell was he? Some sort of stupid human who thought he was....
Wait, the name was familiar.
"Oh my.." he remembered now, of the many that had fallen, "Cristian talked to you? I thought he had died years ago, or at least gotten eaten by that filthy mangly mut Cerberus.
Well, let me guess, he's totally reformed and wants his angel powers back, right? Hah, that's rich."
Michael looked at the scene before him, scattered parts of perfection, slowly being torn back to the way it was. It seemed sad, almost, to see it go. Earth would never be that happy, that perfect. Lucifer had given humans a little peice of heaven, and he was taking it away.
It almost made him feel sad.
Almost.
"This is all getting out of control Eve. All of it, I tried to control it, but it's beyond me now. Secret opposition, undermining authority, angels switching back and forth like this is some sort of backyard baseball game, I don't know if I can handle it, I'm trying..."
The darkened sky looked threatening, in the far distance thunder rolled across the hills. It began to rain, slowly at first, just a few drops. Soon, it became a downpour.
".. I just don't know anymore."

Eve

She watched all the emotions flitter across his face, She knew how he felt. It seemed impossible, But aren't they supposed to do the impossible?
"I am guarding the humans, but We all felt it was important to tell you about St. Peter. Well, I was told to come tell you personally, even though I know you know about it already. A fools errand perhaps?" She stood back up.

"And as for Cristian, He is no longer a Dark Angel, Michael. He is now one of of us. Don't ask me why, but he was granted back into heaven." She stood looking at the holes repairing themselves, and the sky darkening with a thunder storm.

She looked down at him sitting there, His hopes slipping little by little. "Come on Now, Michael! Don't give me that defeated crap. We are God's Angels. We have strengths, and powers to stop this. Or we wouldn't have been sent. We do the impossible. We can stop this, think about it, really think. We are almost as powerful as Lucifer is herself, And there are so many of us. Her demons are merely distractions for us."

She once more knelt down, her hand coming out to take his. She carefully opened his palm up, and watched as it healed. "We were sent here, because somehow, there is a way to stop her. And we can do it.. And there is only one angel who betrayed us, Peter!" She sighed, this wasnt working.

"Get up off your ass Michael! There is alot more to be done, and dammit we can't do it without you!"
She stood back again, tapping her foot, glaring down at him. "Dont give me "I cant's", Ive got a whole shit load of "I cant's" To deal with. Including saving this world full of humans, and protecting them. Tell me about the overwhelming feelings. Get up, stand tall, and be proud. Then kick some ass, Michael."
She winked at him and turned around looking at the false hopes. She needed to get back to the school.
"You need help, let me know. I can not go to Heaven to guard the gates, but there is many angels up there who are able to guard it. I am slowly assembling the humans, and giving them hope at freedom. If you need us, you know where to find us. I must return to my duty, I cant sit here and pep talk you all day."
She reached down and pull him to his feet, looking up into his eyes, she smiled faintly. "We do impossibles' Michael, remember that." She kissed him on his cheek, "There are no rules in war, start by not playing fairly too." She said God Bless, and turned to go.
"Oh! You should come by the school when you get a chance, there are two rather unusual guys hanging out there, thought you might like to ask them a few questions."
She opened her wings and took off into the air once again. Her head full of all kinds of things. Namely the fear, Michael was almost ready to give up... That wasn't a good sign at all. She really hoped her old "Kick ass and take names" pep talk worked. It wasn't like she was lying to him. They did the impossible. Miricles were their specialty.

Her Darkness:

I had my troups begin to surround New York. It blanketed the surrounding area for miles, but they were just out of sight.

The sun would be blocked out soon, I closed my eyes, putting my hand on Peter's arm. I mentally told my commanders to halt and make camp, but not rest...not sleep. they didn't need it. The past thousand years had been enough. They smiled and nodded evilly. I opened my eyes.

Now, to heaven...only...I was interrupted by the Angel of Peace.

I rolled my eyes, "You have nothing Ambrosia...nothing. Back away, and tell Michael that it isn't too late for him to come to our side."

She got in my way, I tried to sweep her away. I touched her, my breath was sucked out from me.

I began to feel light headed, a familiar feeling washed through me. Heaven. A taste of Heaven.

It was like torture though, bitter sweet. I was immediately swept back to reality as my hand brushed off her.

I steadied myself, she was smiling, her smile a bit off though.

She had a messanger at her side, his aim high at her wings, ready to cut them. "Wait, " she said, "Do not do it yet."

(if you don't get it, um..here...An angel becomes mortal when you cut off their wings, ambro wants to use her powers of peace to take lucifer's 'badness' away, so as soon as she absorbs it all, she will be made satan, and the exact second the messanger will cut off her wings, making her mortal..get it? k...so taht was badly written...back to the story)

I regained my all my power. Then she dissapeared.

What on earth was that?

Growling, I let earth shake from its sugar coating for a moment, only to be recovered by the false hope once more.

Something was going on, and it wasn't just with the Angel of Peace.

Maybe it was time for the confrontation with Michael.

Maybe, I would leave half my troop on earth, and take half to heaven.

Maybe....

Well, I would stop by Michael on the way to heaven's gates.

That is when Ambrosia appeared before me again.

This time she was chanting.

Glory to God in the Highest, and Peace Good Will ..." her words became muffled as I became dizzy. I couldn't even think to ask for my troops. What on HELL was happening.

No angel , ANYPLACE, Could do this to me.

I used the last of my strength to disappear.

Gabriel:

The portal opens at the heavenly end. Bright light blinds the few of us that emerge before the gates to heaven. Running up to them, I notice that they are locked. Although that is not a problem for us angels, it does prove to be troublesome with the line of people coming from a dark tunnel.

At the crossroads of eternity, I look down the long street toward the River Styx. Humans always call it a demonic place, yet at this end, it is as majestic as heaven--at least it used to be. In the other direction, equally long, a line of people waiting as if at an emergency room. The line of men women and children, facing tragic, fatal, medical problems flow from an endless black tunnel which Death provides access to a select group.

The other directions of this crossroads point toward and away from the Gates. The Gates are so splendid that humans cannot see past them, though the angelic army can. Angels are blessed with the ability to walk into and out of heaven without security problems. Angels who fall need to go in the same way as humans--with the key. Opposite the Gate, a desert of nothing spreads to eternity; except, one small portal looms in the foreground. Whenever any angel portals to heaven, both ends are left open until another angel changes the beginning point.

I survey the scene one last time, preparing for the eventual attack: She cannot bring her armies through Death's tunnel, unless Death sides with her. The portal would be an unwise path to heaven also, as it can shift abnormally and we would see them coming. So, either they come from Styx or they risk everything to get here.

"Malakim (angels), prepare yourself!"
