The Bounty Hunters'

Joe

ooc: Start with coming out of your room upstairs at the sound of shots. If you are working in the Saloon as an entertainer, you would most likely be up there.

IC: She sat sipping her bottle and soaking in the hot springs. She would head back in a little while, once she calmed down. HEr hatred for the Daltons growing out of control quickly.

Marian

Marian walks out of her room upstairs, thinking she heard shots. She then goes downstairs to see whats going on.

Richard Dalton

*He had finally found david and sent him back to the camp....That was everyone. He paused for a second....and sighed to himself, Kicking a post*

Damnit...I Didnt even get any this week. Fraggit.

(]=D)

*And finally got to his horse again...leaping utop it, he checked his guns and his mind....SOon they'd put their plans into action...And they'd be rich beyond any Job they'd done so far..and be some of the most Famous Outlaws of all time. Heh. It made Richard proud to be a part of this family. He'd come back into town tomorrow...pick up one or two little things...and Then it would just be a matter of waiting till the right moment*

It sounded like a shot in the air. His hand slapped across David's cheek. It stung, but not with physical pain. Emotional was much more.

"What were my specific instructions? Not to draw attention to yourself. So, what is the first thing you go do? Kill the fucking marshall?"

His eyes squinted as he saw his younger brother. Hatrid poured from his eyes. It was shielded by deep rooted love, but the hate was still there. A viper using any means necessary.

Hoofbeats could be heard in the distance. First Mark squinted his eyes to mere slits, his hand on the butt of his gun. It was only Richard though. Good, Richard needed to be in on this as well.

"Richard, why weren't you there watching him? You know he has a trigger finger. Three weeks of staying underground and hanging in fucking caves and lonely campsites, only to shoot a marshall the same night two bounty hunters come to town."

He growled, something deep in his throat, kicking the nearest thing his foot could catch. Sparks flew as an embered log lifted into the night air.

His breath was deep and shallow, as he calmed himself down. They were his brothers, his responsibility. As much as they fucked up, he still had to take care of them.

"I just care about you, both of you. Even you Frankie, "he saw she had been listening in on the conversation, "That's why we've all been working on this heist so much. With this money, we'll be able to take care of ourselves for the rest of our lives. I don't want to screw it up because you got mad at the law."

He nodded to his brother and Richard, "Come now. Let's get some sleep. I want to be long gone from here by dawn. We've still got some business in Tumbleweed, but it'll have to wait until things die down."

Joe

She sat in the hot springs for awhile, then decided it was time to stop acting like she was a child and stop acting like a scared female. She got out of the hot springs, dried herself and dressed. She packed up everything and put out the camp fire. She loaded Thunder back up and hopped onto his back. She needed to go back into town and get ready for first light.

Once the sky lightened enough to see, she was heading out after the Dalton's. Come hell or high water, she was going to get each one of them. David would be wanted dead or alive now that he killed Caine. She smiled a cold grin, the thought of shooting him giving her something to look forward to. She ran her hand up her thigh, almost reaching for her colt.

She came to the spot where David Dalton had gone one way and she had turned down the other. She glanced up the hillside, and then down. She could go to town right now, or she could track Dalton. Only problem was, Red wasn't here.

Sighing in frustration, not being able to go after them right now was annoying her beyond words. She knew they would be looking for a new hide out now that David had gave them away. Perhaps the TwinSprings idea Red had would pay off.

As she rode long she got a real good idea on what to do. Red's idea was perfect. No one in the past few years seen either of them in a dress and looking like a woman. Perhaps the best way to trap them would be to dress differently?

Tumbleweed came into sight, sitting down in the valley, she could barely make out the saloon. The moon's light helped some, but the town was nearly black. The saloon was the only thing lit up at this hour of the night, beconing her there.

She sat atop Thunder for a few minutes just looking over the area. This would be the perfect place to settle down, the soil was perfect, rich in minerals and great for growing things. Sure in the winter it was hard, but the rest of the year it was worth it. Green and lush. Wild grass grew everywhere, pine trees, willows. So many hills, valleys and rivers ran through the area. Fishing and hunting was bountiful here. She let the idea sink in, smiling when she pictured a nice little house just outside of town.

Kicking Thunder into gear she raced down into town and put Thunder in the stables for the night. She unloaded her saddle bag and walked into the saloon. She spotted Reece, "Hey if you got an extra shotgun, I need to borrow one. I am heading out at first light." She said no more and walked up to his room. She removed her gun belt, and fell onto the bed. She slept within seconds. She would mention the dressing up thing to Belle and Red and see what they could come up with.

David

David's head was rocked back by the force of the Mark's hand across his face. He looked at Mark as he began to talk about the job that they were going to have then turned his head and spat some blood onto the ground. He hated that he had to do whatever Mark said but he was also true about killing the marshall, it had been a stupid thing to do.

He sat down and listened to the plan that Mark and Richard had put together. It was a sound plan but it meant that one of them had to go into town and scout around and he knew that he wouldn't be able to do it. He looked down at the ground then slapped his hand down onto it, "I am such a dumb fuck, aren't I?"

The small fire gave little warmth in the night. It was still summery, but the nights out in the plains were very cold. Blankets were always needed.

"You just made a mistake that's all. You're young David, and I don't blame you that much. That marshall was a piece of shit, there were many times when I wanted to kill the mother fucker myself."

He moved back into his seat, relaxing under the wane of the moon, "If you really feel bad about it though, I have something for you to do tomorrow. Both you and Frankie, actually. Just need to settle some things in town before we can make a move."

Setting his hat down, sleep came in fast. It wasn't until twilight that Mark got up, yelling for them to move out. If the stories were true, then they should be out of here. Not that he didn't want to say a nice hello to these female bounty hunters, but now wasn't the time.

Their father had always taught him patience. Right now, he would have to be patient and wait.

REECE

Reece had held Caine in his arms until he was gone. He stood up then his white shirt was blood soaked stained by the drained life force of his best friend. Numbly Reece looked over at Belle. He suddenly felt very tired, emotionally spent. Belle took his hand and silently walked him back to the saloon.

Reece was like a zombie, barely functioning. Belle led him to his room's entrance. It was still empty. He stripped off thr offensive shirt and pants and changed into his favorite buckskin. He did not want to be alone just now.

Back out on the floor, he pulled out a lone bottle of scotch and sat at a table, where he motioned Belle to join him. He poured two shots that they both consumed in the blink of an eye. After a long silence he spoke...

"Belle, life is just too short. A man must seize the moments he's given. Caine had all these plans. Buy a ranch, settle down get him a good red headed wife. Then just like that snapping his fingers its all gone!"

Reece looked over at Belle, the silence between them grew large. He saw a look in her eyes of sorrow and longing. Impulsively he pulled Belle to him and kissed her. He whipered fiercely -

"More than else in the whole world right now Belle I want you..."

Joe

She hadn't slept well at all that night. Very little in fact, but she was awake as the sun got ready to come over the horizon. She quickly dressed and packed her things. It was time.

She walked to Red's room and woke her up. She looked a little hung over but got up and going instantly. It was time to hunt down some creeps.

She walked outside the quiet town and to the stables. She saddled Thunder and Star. Leading them out she walked them to the front of the saloon. Things were ready. She had ammunition and their supplies. She spotted Sofie, "We'll be back tonight unless we find their trail, then I dont know when we'll be here again. Tell Reece and Belle not to worry, and make sure someone appoints a new marshall before Vincent Dupree hears about this.
Last thing we need is him pulling his strings to get the position."
Sofie nodded and walked inside with her bucket of water.

Red came down looking a little tired, but ready.
"Shall we get underway?"
She didnt speak much just nodded. Climbing up we headed south to find David's trail. She would start looking by the hot springs turn off.

Vince

After tossing back a few drinks and finding no one to crawl into bed with i decide to saddle back up and head home. Walking out of the bar it still seems dark but for how much longer. The stars above are still out so there should be plenty of light to find my way home.

I take the reins and saddle up and head out of Tumbleweed.

Getting back to the ranch I put my horse away and crawl into bed even if its just to get a couple house of sleep. Catherine is still in the same position when I left her.

BELLE

I'd never seen Reece so down as he was now. I knew he and the Marshal had be close, and understood what a blow it must have been for him, especially since Winters' death was so unexpected.

After the Doc took over, I took his arm and led him back to the saloon and up to his room to give him a chance to change his bloodsoaked clothes. Sofie came up and told us that Joe and Red had gone after the Daltons, and not to worry.

How could I not worry? The two girls were like my daughters to me. What if anything happened to them? I went back to the saloon at sat down heavily at one of the tables. The other dead cowboy's body had also been removed and somebody had kindly thrown a couple of buckets of sand to absorb the blood.

The saloon was empty now, everybody had gone home. My girls had all retired to their rooms, some with an all night customer, others alone. I stood up to close up shop when Reece came into the saloon, wearing his favorite buckskin shirt.

He picked up a bottle of scotch and two shot glasses, and motioned me over to join him, as he sat down at one of the tables. He poured us each a shot of scotch and we both downed it at once.

"Belle, life is just too short. A man must seize the moments he's given. Caine had all these plans. Buy a ranch, settle down get him a good red headed wife. Then just like that snapping his fingers its all gone!" he said, then looked silent and morose into his glass.

My heart went out to him, and all I wanted to do was take him in my arms and comfort him. But the moans and cries I'd heard from his room earlier, were still reverberating in my ear. "He deserves a woman younger than me," I thought.

But then he suddenly pulled me to him and kissed me, and whispered: "More than else in the whole world right now Belle I want you..." My heart beat went up to a gallopping rate. "Oh Reece, I'm all yours if you want me," I whispered back as he stood up and pulled me into his arms.

Red

At some point I had polished off the bottle of wiskey and dosed off. I had no dreams or nightmares that night, I must have drank them into oblivion.

What seemed like a short time later I wake to the sound of Joe's voice. My head pounding and body aching I quickly get up and dress gathering my shotgun and supplies I head out the door and down through the saloon. Thank god it was quiet this morning, I might have had to kill someone this morning if it wasn't.

Reaching the doors I push through them to see Joe standing there with the horse's ready"Shall we get underway?" Giving her a nod I throw the last of the supplies on Star and mount up. We then headed south. Turning to look at Joe she seemed deep in thought. "Joe...what are ya thinkin? I am not sure I have ever seen you this deep in your thoughts, did something happen?"

Joe

She headed south, and in no time found the trail leading south east.
"Let's see if we can follow the right trail.." She wasnt really in the mood to talk. Though she knew Red would listen to all her problems
It was just a complicated mess.

"Watch for David's trail. His horse has an off shoe front leg."
She checked everywhere around the area she seen him ride off in. Then she spotted a hoof print. "Perfect. Gott'em Red, over here." She slowly walked Thunder along, following the trail closely. A few times she thought she lost it, but quickly picked it up again.

Over rocks, around pine trees, over a stream. He was climbing up the mountain. She stopped a moment and glanced up. There were many hiding places up there. But where? It wouldn't be too far, Dalton wouldn't travel far in a drunken state. Had to be close.
But where?
"Red? Isn't there some caves up here somewhere? Or an old shack perhaps?" She glanced over at her partner. She was still eyeing Joe like she knew something was wrong. She just shrugged it off. best to forget some things and move on to serious ones.

Red

"Let's see if we can follow the right trail.." With the avoidence of my question I knew she didn't want to talk. I thought to myself for a moment "the right trail, but whose trail are we finding?" Joe had said very little that morning and I had not seen which direction either of the Dalton's had gone.

I stopped Star for a moment and took a drink from my canteen as she told me to watch for David's trail and that his horse had an off shoed front leg. A little of my confusion faded with her words I had a better idea of what was going on. I replaced the lid on my canteen and put it back in the bag i had retreived it from.

"Perfect. Gott'em Red, over here." A devilish grin washed over my face maybe this time was it and we would have our bounty. I nudged Star and started for where Joe had been and started to follow the trail with her we were climbing up the mountain. With Joe's question I think for just a moment "Yeah Joe there are three caves, two smaller ones and a fairly large one. It used to be my thinking place before I left Tumblweed. Now I know you don't want to talk but what are we doing here?"

Joe

She glanced around, the beauty of the mountain momentairly stealing away her breath. What she wouldn't give to sit still and enjoy the surroundings for once. Not keep moving around aimlessly through life with nothing more than a horse and bedding.

"Oh sorry Red, Off in my own world again..." She stopped Thunder and rubbed her gloved hand up and down her thigh a moment. Her face stern, and serious she told Red what was up.

"I went to the hot springs last night to relax and forget the bloody scene. Anyways before I turned off that direction to go, David Dalton came riding by with some cutesie remark about a nice night. Anyways I figured we could trail him to their hideout. Save time and energy and money. He was so sloshed he didn't cover his trail. Or if not sloshed he was occupied with something. Anyways my thinking is they are near by to come and go so easily and for such a long time. The marshall said something to me about just wanting him in and out before he got riled. Apparently David had been there a few times in the Saloon. Leading me to believe they are holed up real close. So here we are, tracking them. Let's go investigate the caves. It makes sense to me to hold up there. No one goes there anymore since that young woman was found dead inside. They think its haunted. Idiots. Anyways lets get going.."

She kicked Thunder into action and they slowly made their way up the mountain, heading to the caves but checking the trail to make sure it didnt veer off another way.

BELLE

With his arm around my shoulder and mine around his waist, we walked up the stairs, past his room (I knew his bed would still be unmade after his and Joe's lovemaking), and on to mine.

My room was at the end of the hallway, the largest room in the whorehouse. Earlier this evening, two of my girls had 'serviced' three gentlemen here, but now there was no trace of their robust play. The sheets had been changed and everything was in its place. And as always, the room faintly smelled of lavender.

We entered and as Reece kicked the door shut with his boot, he took me in his arms. I turned my face up to him and his lips came down on mine......

I remember the first time he came to the whorehouse. I was still young then, and he even younger. I was taken by his handsome features, his superb body and easy smile, and hoped he would choose me. But Miz Louise assigned Helen to him, although I noticed him looking back at me while they mounted the stairs.

The next night he was back, and this time he told Miz Louise that he wanted to be with me. And that started our long relationship/courtship/friendship (I'm not sure what to call it, because it's a combination of all that). We really liked each other, but I held back from falling in love with him. First of all, I'm about 10 years older, also I'm a whore, and I've seen other girls fall in love with customers only to be humiliated and abandoned. No, I'd sworn never to fall in love, and never to marry. That way I could have sex anytime I wanted, with anybody I fancied.

At that time, his lovemaking techniques were nothing compared to what he knows now. Our mutual liking for each other made us good for each other, teaching, learning, exploring each other's bodies, experimenting and enjoying the journey, and improving together. Yes, it also taught me a lot, although as an experienced whore, I knew about everything there was to know. It was a wild and hilarious time for us. The best years of my life for me.

This lasted until he had to leave town, to make his fortune. When he came back, he was rich. Miz Louise had just passed away, and the saloon was for sale. He took over the saloon, and I took over the whorehouse. In the beginning, it looked like the spark between us was going to ignite again. But I was afraid. He once told me he wanted to settle down, marry and raise a family. I didn't want to stand in the way of possible happiness for him.
By then I was in my late thirties. I also knew that many respectable town girls had their designs on him: young, handsome, rich saloon owner. So I acted uninterested, although like now, I could never resist his advances. Whenever he asked me, I would always run into his arms.

Red

"It's no problem Joe."
I stopped Star behind where Joe had halted Thunder, she looked at me with a stern look and beganto explain what had happened last night and why we were here. I nudged Star and followed behind Joe along the trail.

"Oh my god Joe i'll bet he past you after he had left the saloon. He had come in through the back door and caught me off guard again. He then shot some nimrod who had gone for his gun, kissed me and left on his horse in a hurry. Anyway I think he was probably occupied with the thought of what he had done and how his brothers would react."

I kept riding, Joe watched the trail and I watched our backs, a little nervous about being caught off guard again. I began to speek again as I watched.

"The marshall told me that he had let them come and go often letting them have their freedom but keeping a close eye on them.
The caves are a logical place to look, they are the perfect distance from town and they make good shelter. I can't believe that people still think they are haunted. Joe will we try your getting dolled up idea if this doesn't work, I think it may."

Joe

She turned to look at red with a surprised look on her face.
"He kissed you?! Why that doesnt make sense... Why would he come in there shoot some guy, kiss you and leave? He didnt threaten you? Aim his gun at you? Anything?" She was confused behind Davids reasons now.

"Yeah if they arent here we will try that idea. I think it will work too. no one has seen us in dressed for years now. They wouldnt know us on sight.." They approached the cave's.
"Lets get a peek inside shall we?"

Red

"Oh no he snuck in the back and he put his gun in my back again and told me to drop my shotgun on the floor. He shot the guy that had gone for his gun, kissed me then left it was weird. Two men die I get kissed and he runs off, who knows what he was thinking."

A laugh almost escapes me as we quietly approach the caves. I grin broadly "Yes let's do see if we have caught us some bad guys."

Joe

"Strange male...... Lets put the horses over behind that big boulder and creep up."
She hopped off Thunder and secured him to the tree branch. Walking to the side of the boulder she glanced up the rise.
"Its just over this little hill. We should advance carefully, see if we can catch them unaware and in bed.."

ooc: congrats on 100 posts Shoty!

Catherine

She awoke as the rooster crowed. She rolled over and snuggled up next to her husband. It would be time to get up shortly. And she was in no hurry to move just yet. She stuck her hand inside the blankets and laid it apon his chest, twirling her fingers in his chest hair. Her eyes still shut, she was debating to open them or not.
She felt Vincent stir under her hand and held still a moment. Then went back to stroking softly over his skin. It was time to rise and shine, and she was not a morning person. She rolled over to the other side of the bed and peeked one eye open. This was ungodly, getting up as the sun rose in the sky. There should be a law against this..

Fathers Thomas pulled his carriage to a stop. Dust came around his black robe as he walked into the doctor's office. Since it was a small town, it also served as the morgue.
He stared at the two bodies. Someone had woken him up early with the news. The Marshal and Old man Pete had been slaughtered by the Dalton's. Both bodies were covered in white sheets, a reminiscing link to the people they used to be.
He kneeled down, giving a slight prayer. They deserved to be in peace, wheever they were. Their lives taken away, such a short time.
"A double service this Sunday," he said aloud, as if to reassure the dead they would be remembered, "I'll make the whole town come if I have to drag them out of their hung over stupors myself."
Making the cross over both of their heads, he stepped out into the bright day. Thomas stopped by the blacksmith's, making him assure that the caskets would be ready. With that done, he rode up to his church at the edge of town.
So much to do, flowers and hymns and just about everything imaginable. If he started now, he just might be able to get things done.
Rolling up his sleeves, and wiping his already moistened brow, Thomas went to work.

Vincent

That damn rooster i thought to myself. One of these days i'm gonna open that window and shoot it off of the rooftop. Catherine seemed to be in a playful mood as she started to twirl my chest hair. I didnt want to ruin the moodn but she was hurting me. Then she rolled over on her side. Perhaps she was going to get up but I didnt want her to. So I rolled over with her and pulled her back so that she was laying on her back.

I whispered good morning to her and proceeded to kiss her full on her lips.

Catherine

She smiled and gave him a chaste kiss good morning.
"Its light out Vincent, we should get up and get going.." She always made this excuse when the sun came up if he got any where remotely frisky with her. A lady didn't couple with her husband in the day light.
"What are your plans today?"
