The Cozy Corner

Pepperkaker (also spelled pepparkakor in Sweden) are traditional Norwegian and Swedish gingerbread cookies that are a staple of Christmas celebrations in Scandinavia. Unlike American gingerbread, which is often soft and heavily molasses-flavored, pepperkaker are distinctively thin, crisp, and light, often featuring golden syrup or corn syrup as the primary sweetener to allow warm spices like ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, and cloves to shine.

Agreed! Though I really only like snickerdoodle fresh and warm right out of the oven. Same thing with a good, ranger cookie

Chocolate chip must be warm.

I will pick a snickerdoodle or peanut butter with oatmeal over chocolate chip most times tho.

Oh yes, pretty much all cookies are better warm and fresh from the oven/bakery!!

My other very random cookie infatuation? Biscoff cookies .. every once in a blue moon, usually after traveling somewhere and getting a packet on the flight, I crave them like crazy 🤷🏻‍♀️

Okay, nice call on the Biscoff. Those are so damn good! They make a Biscoff butter that I use sometimes to make a whipped cream with and put on pancakes or whatever you want. So good!
