The Cozy Corner

Good morning Cozy Crew - from a rainy wet and overcast Thursday here in the Midwest. I mean no snow so there’s that… and not to one up the snow showers we are in Tornado business this afternoon. Spring weather is just nuts.
Tornado warnings forecasted for the afternoon/overnight here too. Should make for an eventful end of my shift! Can almost guarantee we'll be out cutting up trees and chasing down wires all night.

I've visited the Midwest once (lovely place!) and I've seen The Wizard of Oz and the first Twister movie.

How often are y'all under threat of tornado?

Here, we have storms a few times a year that might cause tornadoes. Actually having one touch down happens every few years. (A few years ago we had a nightmare-inducing scenario when a tornado tore through a Home Depot - oh that flying debris 🫣).

Does every house have a tornado shelter? Are there sirens like in the movies?

You missed "The Wiz"

Seems like constantly this time of year

Definitely sirens that go off a few times a year (I'm in Dayton Ohio area) ..... I don't even have a basement ...just an interior bathroom. Wish me luck

In the Twin Cities, it's only a handful of times a season
well... tornado warnings anyway
we find ourselves under tornado watches more frequently

The sirens are definitely like the movies and here they are tested the first Wednesday of every month at 1:00 in the afternoon
I would say most homes here have a basement so we don't need storm shelters

A lot of the homes in the midwest have basements. Almost every town has a tornado siren. The storm fronts pick up a lot of moisture and energy moving across the mississippi river/valley area. Those of us near there see a lot of tornado watches and warnings

A. I love the movie Twister! So good!
B. Wizard of Oz is just a great, wholesome classic!
C. I'd say at least a dozen times a year we're under tornado watch or warning here in Southern Wisconsin. And at least a few times a year have one touch down near us. They're a beautiful, awesome, terrifying force of nature which I respect, fear and love all at the same time. Mother nature has a way of mixing raging beauty and terror at the same time!
D. Depends on where you are in the Midwest or Tornado Alley, but some homes are built with shelters either below the home (basement) or detached separate (small bunker style) and yes, almost everywhere at least in Southern Wisconsin has sirens.

I'm definitely that guy outside watching the sky, the lightning, the awesome green/yellow/purple colored clouds clashing and swirling, taking it all in while the sirens are going off and everyone else is running to the basement. It's just too amazing not to watch!

Wait! Time out! Give me a second to see if I got this straight!

1. Unlimited beer and coffee
2. Unending supply of food
3. Jokes galore

And not one guy offering a dick pic? Is this even real? It's s fucking set up!

Eyes everyone suspiciously.

I can offer a tile pic… trying to decide if I would hate this very quickly in a shower:

April, May, and June are most likely occurring but they can be seen in any month.

I don't think so....the pattern is light enough that I don't think it's intrusive and you're showering so you're not staring at it .... Well admittedly I'm not super well versed in your shower habits despite my best efforts.... But I'm guessing it wouldn't be bad
