The Cozy Corner

My area just updated the siren alert system. We used to get sirens for storms that were already past us and we weren’t in any danger. Usually, I’d look outside because I was calling bullshit on the sirens. Now, they at least split our area up into 4 or 5 zones.

I did get caught driving home from work last spring and a tornado went through just a few miles up the road I was on. Had a limb fall, barely missing my truck and land on a power line. I got the fuck outta that area real quick. Looked like a war zone with splintered trees everywhere. Closest I’ve ever been.
Awesome!

Everyone in the Midwest just cracks open a beer and steps outside to see if it’s close or not……or is that just me? 😂
Yes... one thousand percent yes
which way is the wind going?
how green is the sky?
is that a patio furniture cushion?
oh, there's the siren... better check radar to see if we should go inside
This! And yup! ☝️👍

I'm intrigued ....fruit beers have a ton of range from yuck too sweet for beer to this is so delicious. Id definitely ask for a drink of yours at the very least 😂....ok fine I'll just order one
I was pleasantly surprised by a local brewery here that produces a shandy and an orange cream cider ...both I would usually avoid but in both cases they are dry and still have full flavor

I like a shandy in the right circumstances and I need it to be a little on the tart side. Usually ciders are a no but I'll always try stuff

Love most traditional beers
In summer I love a sour
Anything on the hoppy side of things for sure

I married one like that. My folks were people like that. I just think my ears popping in the cellar and hearing my neighbor's gas stove blow at a young age sort of scarred me lol. I will say however if you ever get too full of yourself and need to remember you are just a blink in this universe...stare one of those fuckers down. 🤣🤣

I got invited to an easter themed mani and right after we're going to a new brewery. I don't really drink beer unless I'm eating Mexican so we'll see how it goes. Either I have a great time and the day ends nicely or a drink too much and need bail money. :ROFLMAO:

These are both tart. If I drink a cider, it needs to be super tart. None of that "unhappy apple farm" stuff.

My son went to college in Missouri for three years. He had several scares and one tornado went right through his neighborhood
I don't know how people do it. I thought living with earthquakes (totally survived Northridge) was a nightmare but to deal with those storms nearly every year? I'd have a heart attack!

I'll bake you a cake with a nail file in it if things go wrong. I have a recipe and you won't need to spend money on bail 😉
