WelcomeI've been lurking on threads. And I see how you, and most people on this site, are so strongly connected. I can feel it. Feel it in the texts. Feel it in the jokes. Feel how you are tending some beautiful garden of words, tears and jokes. It's hard to put into words, the complexity of the whole thing. As an outsider, I see it differently than you of course. The little subtle clues, the inside jokes, the timing of the posts, likes and how everything seems so effortless for you guys. It's all there in front of me, and I just wanted to write and tell you, how much I am moved by the love and fierce stubbornness to protect and care for each other.
I'm somewhat jealous and ashamed to admit it. But I wanted to tell you. I know, that whatever I was hoping to achieve by posting on Lit, is not what I expected to happen to me tonight. Sitting here writing a message and honestly wishing, wishing in the true meaning of the word, that somewhere on the other end of the line, there is another human being, reading my words. So, with a whole new perspective on the forum, and as I have just admitted, a new perspective on myself, I hope you know, that you and a lot of people, have had an profound effect on me. And I just wanted you to know. That's all.
Hello, you! Energy boost to you for your busy day.Hello hello Coziers!
Busy day ahead, but wanted to pop in for a sec.

The people just want to hear the hits. There is a reason Classic Rock bands still tour and play music from the 70sPeople are resistant to change
Maybe you two can answer an Italian (I think?) question for me… what is gianduja? And what does it taste like?
I got a little box of chocolates from the chair of the program I work for today & one is described as a bloc of pure smooth gianduja.
And it's really, really good!!Oh, is gianduja not as common in the States? It's a modified blend of sugar, chocolate and almost always almonds and hazelnuts. The hazelnuts are usually toasted, ground and processed with the chocolate until it forms a soft nougat sort of texture. Melts in your mouth (or pocket if you forget).
If you've had a good quality praline or eggless nougat, it's similar to that.
No, I’ve never seen it before… maybe you’d get it in a high end chocolate shop, but not in a regular store. These were from Trader Joe’s, which makes sense.Oh, is gianduja not as common in the States? It's a modified blend of sugar, chocolate and almost always almonds and hazelnuts. My Playlist is chock full of 60's and 70's classic rock. But that was when I grew up. I graduated High School in 1977.The people just want to hear the hits. There is a reason Classic Rock bands still tour and play music from the 70s![]()
Perfecto!A word on pronunciation. American approximation would be gee-ahn-doo-yah.

I’ve heard it pronounced recently, actually. I watch the British Bake Off with my dad and there was an Italian person on it in one of the older seasons. He used it in something, which is how I knew it was Italian. But they never mentioned what it tasted like.A word on pronunciation. American approximation would be gee-ahn-doo-yah.

Thank you so much for the compliment but I'm not looking for that.
Happy doing what I do here.
