I'm mostly-all better, except for the (semi-regular) headaches and the scarring. Doc says the pigmentation will fade away in time. I'm also using pure aloe vera gel as well as some cream to, hopefully, expedite the recovery.

Good luck with that. I dealt with an older woman yesterday who had two teeth pulled and was so stressed out she had an anxiety attack. I think it may have been the cost of the implants that upset her.

Very true. They’re actually quite famous in these parts. Some travel from miles away and buy them dogs by the dozen. It’s the secret relish and everyone tries to guess what the ingredients are.

I don't envy her position. Having it done in the States would have given my wallet quite the shake-up. In Aus? It was $700 AUD (tax included). Had local anaesthetic and everything. Half was covered by my health fund.

Mine was actually self-inflicted. It's an ancient trauma that got infected and I just never noticed until recently because it didn't hurt.
