I worked in a movie theater in high school. There probably isn't a way to order it that they haven't heard.

My favorite is fresh-popped. We just bought the pot with the crank on the handle. It's fabulous, but I'm still working out seasonings.

Just say no to microwave popcorn.

I agree.

Having worked in one as well… with all the crazy shit left behind… ordering popcorn funny is the least of things that will raise an eyebrow

I've found that if you burn the popcorn so badly that the smoke detector goes off that everyone needs to go outside for a bit while building maintenance investigates.

Great for when there is a boring meeting coming up

I do that too but found splashing the hot sauce onto the popcorn was not enough, so I put the hot sauce in a bowl and dipped the popcorn into it.

The hot sauce overwhelms the flavor of the popcorn if I sprinkle in on after cooking. Mixing it in with the butter/oil gives it a unique flavor to me.

Brilliant! I will remember that. Mine was microwave popcorn so not an option.
