The Cozy Corner

I like my steak med-rare!
Okok you'd have never convinced me of this prior to my first time but steak in the oven like the restaurants....hear me out:

Oven to 450, while it's preheating you get a cast iron hot hot...season steak. Down one side to the amount you want cooked then flip it and shove it in the oven. Usually about 6 minutes for 8oz or until it hits 130 internal temp....the big deal is let the beast rest a few minutes. All that juicy yummy sucks back up into the meat.

Yeah I can't be in this thread. Broke college student. You all are making me hungry! Grilling, tacos, cookies, cinnamon rolls. I live on coffee! Guess I'll go home and see what the folks are cooking😂.
I have to second @Stephie02 here! I am gaining weight just reading this feed! Yes, I also know I have lent my energy to this feeding frenzy!

YES!!!!
I will say - I started making my own butter... and the buttermilk that's leftover is THE BEST buttermilk I've ever used.
just another random fun fact

BUT... I don't make enough butter to yield all the buttermilk I need for all my baking so I always have a canister of this in my fridge too - it mixes with water so you don't need to buy special milk and it lasts soooo long!

Catch me here reading…something about a physical book, the smell, turning the pages, the contrast of the text on the paper, the little printing imperfection you find once in a while, the soft sound it makes when you close it, I love it all. 📖

This also makes me long for my favorite season - fall. Unpopular opinion, I could skip over summer and live in the month of October.🍁

Whew! Reminds me of the old Chaos thread - I’m gone for a day and there’s 11 pages!! I hope nothing too fun happened because I don’t have the energy to go through all that tonight 😂 Happy (stupidly busy) Tuesday, everyone!
TLDR - there are some amazing chicas and chicos that are insanely sweet, funny, cute, and sexy!

Baked good
Lots of baked goods
And popcorn!

Damn, I missed baked goods?! I could have used some of those today. I had super boring work to do all day which just made me want to eat snacks 😂

Hope to meet all of them if I don’t know them already!
