Even if it were not peak training season, you don't strike me as a sleep in type.

I don't even sleep in on vacation. I always feel like I am missing out on something, and there is something or somewhere I should be seeing or doing.
True. The odd occasion when I'm vacay and a big day previous, I'll sleep in until 9:30 latest...
 
I’m saving my coffee for when I take back the kiddo for the next shift..‘I wanna make it nice and strong zabaglione style.
Shower coffee is usually quick and dirty, just brew, pour in the creamer and go
That makes perfect sense. I don't drink coffee, so I have no knowledge of the finer points.

Im 99.9% sure it’s not the correct, traditional way to do it.
But it’s something a friend’s Italian nonna used to make every single morning and we would spend summers at their retirement community off the beach in Cali and she would make it for us for breakfast - along with fresh squeezed orange juice 😍
I had forgotten all about it until I saw a video last year of someone making their coffee that way.

It’s just an egg yolk creamed with a spoonful-ish of sugar, until it’s custard like, then pour your hot espresso over top and then top with milk or cream

Yes. That seems alright. 🥛 Pretty close to what I do actually.
 
Cashmere, the clouds as the skyfire blooms. We held our hands to the sky as we embraced. The day was ours to own as we sought a painting of the sun and held it close to our heart.
