The Cozy Corner

It's fascinating actually because shining an inward lamp has allowed me to refine a lot of the way my mind works and my thought processes to be more efficient. Take for example, language learning. I've been able to refine the way I absorb vocabulary in Italian and have gotten better at distinguishing noun gender through thinking about the way my mind files things.

In all seriousness, I'm pretty sure you're in your head a lot when you're running. Deriving from that the amount of introspection you surely would go through, you'd have a decent relationship with yourself as well? Having said that, I'm sure there are dark thoughts too. It's how you defend and process them I guess.
You speak 3 or 4 languages correct?

I only speak two, and that is stretching it. But gender placement and plurals give me issues.

Feet swelled yesterday which is pretty standard.... Still of course stiff and sore but overall good.

I'll get out for a couple of short walks today...a good epsom soak

Thank you for asking! That's kind of you
That was an impressive distance and to finish top 5 is really impressive.

I would imagine that it takes a good 3-4 days to even begin to resume to feel normal.

Correct. English is technically actually my second language. I acquired Cantonese from my parents before I even started at school. Italian noun gender fortunately doesn't have that many exceptions. In order of acquisition it was Cantonese, English, Japanese then Italian.

Chinese character recognition can be challenging but fortunately there are particle systems that make deciphering them a little easier even if you don't necessarily know what the character represents.

Translating between the languages and processing them in my mind is another post that I won't go into....

I need to pick some good background music for my work morning. Whom should I start my day with?

White Stripes
Fall Out Boy
Mumford & Sons

Other group?

It does but because the next one is only like six weeks away I need to be somewhat aggressive with recovery .... I'm eating everything I can get my hands on (insert joke here)

Congratulations again BTW. I expect a massage is in order?

Are you going to be able to effectively recover then train up for the new race in that time frame? That is not an insignificant distance my friend.

Mmmhm. Juggling between translating for root language accuracy or translating to nativise the concept is a constant internal battle for me.
Just the jumble of words in different words as I work to form a sentence in one language as I wrestle with vocabulary and grammar intracrisies get me.

This is the true real life answer....I've had exactly one massage in my life and it was about 13 years ago.... But I'm sure it'd be nice
What? Surely you'd at least have a massage gun to help with your recovery? Please tell me you do. Don't make me fly to Ohio to give you one.
