The Darker Side of Nothing.

She was deep in meditation as she worked to get her things ready for the day, before taking the time to start brushing her long, fiery red hair.

He would appear in silence in her door way. His soft gaze watching her. He admired the slow glide of her brush through her hair. "Good morning beautiful."

She blushed at the sound of his voice and turned to face him a little, still brushing her hair. "Good morning," she said softly, looking up at him.

She felt no tears build anylonger, and no heart ache for she left it at the tavern. She walked in silence, her bare feet slipping through the tall grass. A darkness had settled in her usually soft amber eyes. She was done fighting the rage, and slowly it engulfed her form.
She bit her bottom lip softly, a sigh escaping.

The woods around her swayed silently, bending down to lash across her skin. She refused to flinch, to cower. She honestly, had no care currently for anything.

Angus ran along the game trails with other Wolves, the Alpha's of several packs didn't dare challenge the great black Werewolf. A huge wild boar was flushed from the brush, hitting a smaller Alpha it's sharp tusks ripped the animal almost in two. It an instant Angus faced of with the bloody faced boar, it being over his own size and weight. It's beady eyes burning with hateful anger toward Angus, intelligent steel grey eyes met the boars with unequaled cunning.

The tusked beast charged only to have the great wolf dodge last second, tearing into the boars side wounding but not killing the brute. With a loud angry shriek it charged the great wolf again, only to be dodged and have it's opposite side ripped open by fangs. This time the boar would back up against an enormous ancient oak, but the great wolf knew the trick the overcome this defensive posture. Lowering himself close the ground stalking the boar that bled heavily, it grew weaker from blood loss and fatigue it was time the great wolf had his kill.

With power and blinding speed huge jaws slashed toward the boar throat, clamping down with massive fangs rips through thick hide flesh and bone. Blood gushed as the great wolf broke the neck of the huge brutish boar, the animal collapsed onto the forest floor with a heavy thud as the great black wolf gave a long triumphant howl. The Alpha's along with there packs joined in to howl at the full moon together, as the wolves lay down acknowledging the great black wolf as the supreme Alpha as he feasted upon his kill.

After eating his fill the Alpha's ate there fill followed by the Beta's and lastly the Omega's, the great wolf had his fur cleansed by the Alpha's Alpha female wolves till his fur gleamed. With moonlight shining off his glossy fur the great black wolf slept peacefully, later the great wolf would transform back into Angus the man. But before that time he'd make his way to his friends the Minotaur and Fawn couple, there he would bathe and don his freshly laundered clothes.

Say his goodbyes and be embraced by dear friends, mounting his steed Midnight prepares to leave. Angus would ride once more into the world as a Man to dwell amongst everyone, he would miss Ivory more as each day passed but could they be together safely only the Gods knew this. Time would tell what would be or would not be in the future, for now the future was to be completely unknown to the two souls that spent a loving time together.

"Thank you, love," she said softly. She felt a pain of rejection from last night but that was over now. She continued to brush her hair and look at him.

He watched the beautiful girl, her long beautiful hair... Her violet eyes and her sweet elf features. It made his heart race. Thought began to fill his head, and he had to shake them away.

"I know how to do that..." His voice soft.
"A child taught me many years ago..." He thought in silence of the little blue eyed babe. With long strands of ringlet curls.

Unsure if you tone held true interest or not he would simply nod.
"Yeah." His voice would sound after a moment or three.

"Come here, love don't be shy," she bade him to enter, pointing to a chair. "Come and stay for a bit, love."

He would nod, and walk quietly to the chair. He watching as her nimble fingers worked through her hair, braiding and twisting the beautiful red strands. He wanted to pet her, hold her, kiss her, bend her over and...

He cut off his own thoughts with his voice. "Abigale is our first stop..."

"What's her ailment?" She asked softly, her fingers ending their braid and smiling, happy she could do some good.v

"Gradubious... Plague G is its most common name..." his voice soft.

"We must atleast mend her open sores..."

"Absolutely," she agreed, her tone now sad. She knew how devastating the effects of Plague G could be.

He stood and placed a hand upon her shoulder. Leaning down to kiss her cheek, as soon as his lips touched her cheek, a feeling of electric currents raced through her. It forced her heart to beat faster, her body to grow weak, and her head to become sleepy. As soon as he separated from her though, she felt normal.

"Come eat." He spoke softly before leaving her side and venturing to the kitchen.

"Yes, love," she said. She looked up at him and smiled before standing and making her way to the kitchen.

He sat at the island after placing her food onto a plate. Glorious smells erupted from the kitchen and tickled their nostrils.

She would shiver, her crimson optics would fade. They flickering to a weak amber. Biting her lip her form would halt before the lake.

In silence, she would stare upon her form, in tiny and frail. Snow fell upon her, in tiny flakes. They clung to her raven hair. The air around her, so cold it bit flesh fierce enough it went from soft ivory to a soft red.

A tear fell in silence and froze to the soft.flesh of her cheek. Her small hand found her belly, and she sighed closing her eyes. Stepping towards the water she held her breath. First her skirt danced over its icy surface, then her toes broke through the hard shield of frozen water.

She pushed further, the cold water burning her soft feet. With more purpose now, she waded deeper, the water rising quickly to her knees. The mud, like ice clung to her toes as the water grasped at her curvy hips.

Her entire lower half numb, and bluing in the cold, her amber eyes opened. Deeper she waded, until the water passed over her belly, and her hand. It reached her breasts and then her collarbone. She bit her lip harder still, as the water reached her neck... It cruel and unforgiving as it attempted to strangle her.

Her voice shook softly, she had no more tears to cry. "I'm sorry." The only two words to leave her lips, now blue and trembling. Then she closed her softly amber eyes, and faded below the water's surface. She losing the way to the air, above the ice.

Angus rode onward as the storm raged on overhead, lightening streaked the skies as thunder roared. Midnight reared spooked from the storms fury, reigning his steed in he quickly dismounted. Spying a cave with the next flash of lighting, drew his wolves head hilted sword lead Midnight into it. It was dry further on inside with the makings for a fire, withdrawing a flint rock striking sparks from it with his sword the fire lit.

Stepping to settle the animal down he spoke soothingly. ''Aye my friend...not a night fit fer man or beast.'' Wiping Midnight down with an old dry flour sack, his breathing and heart rate slowed to normal. Angus got a whinny and a thankful nuzzle from his faithful friend. ''Aye boyo you're welcome.'' Giving Midnight a pat on his neck with a stroke of his muzzle, seated by the fire to warm himself and to dry his clothes.

Ivory would come to mind as she frequently did lately, he sighed dearly missing the wee lass that held his heart. ''Damn you Angus for letting the wolf make you leery of your lass, Fury or no she loved you!'' Angus heavy brogue carried outside the mouth of the cave, he hoped the wind would carry it to his amber eyed lass.

A bitter cold sadness gripped his heart like the icey hand of death itself, mounting Midnight quickly spurring the powerful stallion toward the frozen lake. Not knowing exactly why he dove from the horse, crashing through the ice into the intensely cold waters depths. Angus saw his love near lifeless little body, gathering her petite body into his arms he walks along the bottom to shore.

It was almost all he could do to mount Midnight with her, shivering uncontrollably he raced his steed back to the cave. Once inside Angus fell from the saddle onto his back, holding his sweet lass the impact with the ground knocked the water from her lungs. The heavy jolt he hoped started her heart as he gave her the kiss of life, with her cold blue body in his arms compressed her chest repeatedly. ''Ivory come back to me!...your wolfie is here for you!''

She looked up into the ice above her. The night sky hiding above it, in a mocking way. She slowly froze in the cold water, and her lungs burned, crying for air.
