Bruce Hadwell sat in the school office he had requested. Across from him sat the girl that Bruce knew his son Jake had a huge crush on. He felt bad for his son, being teased and bullied and all around given a horrible time in high school simply because he wasn't althletic or "popular". It drove Jake to live his life in online video games and not the real world. Bruce didn't want that for his boy, he didn't want his boy to look back on the greatest time to be a kid and hate it.

So Bruce had come up with a plan. In front of him on the desk was a briefcase which he had put a grand total of five million dollars inside. Bruce was a television producer, and made an incredible living. Which was why he didn't want his son to have a horrible life. It already hurt Bruce that he couldn't be there for his son as much as he wanted, but at least he could do this for him.

For a moment he analysed the girl across from him. She was incredibly hot, and if Bruce was still in school he would have been all over her. At least his son wasn't gay and he good taste in women.

He smiled and said, "Well Miss. Carson, I bet you are wondering why you are here. In an office with a strange man you've never seen before."

He leaned forward and looked the girl over, "I am Jake's Father, and I am concerned about him. You probably know Jake, or at least have been part of groups of kids at this school that have made fun of him. I must admit, my son is very much a social retard. It pains me to no end that he will forever look back on high school as a miserable experience. As a father I want to help him, but in order to help him I need your help young lady."

Bruce reached out and opened the briefcase, opening the case toward her so she could see the huge pile of hundred dollar bills. "I would do anything to help my son. But I work too much to provide him with a wonderful life, I need you to help me out." He paused, "In this case is a total of five million dollars. That's right, five MILLLION. And you can have it all, if you work with me."

He shut the case and pulled it away from her just a bit. "There is what, five months? Six months? Left of school?" He asked, "What I want is for you to go out there and become Jake's girlfriend until school is over. For doing that, upon your graduation you will get all five million dollars in this briefcase, free and clear."

"But!" He said leaning forward toward her again. "You can not go out there and just fake it. If you agree to do this, you go and you be my son's woman for real, you kiss him, you laugh at his bad jokes, if he asks for it you have SEX with him. Do you understand. I want my son to look back and smile that he dated a wonderful beautiful girl in school, plus if being between your legs gets him away from his fucking computer, then so much the better."

Bruce stood up and latched the briefcase, then walked around beside her. "So what do you say?"

I hadn't the faintest idea as to why I'd been called to come here. I'd thought it might have to do with an acting job I'd applied for. I heard through the grapevine that Jake Hadwell's dad was looking for someone to fill some sort of role. I wasn't entirely sure what or when the show was to start production. While I was 18 and an adult, I'd still be living with my parents until I graduated and doubted my mom would go for it.

Still, there was no loss in going to the interview and checking it out as I was considered for whatever role it was that they were looking for.

As I sat across from the guy, I kept remembering stories about the casting couch. Then I heard his offer and my mind went blank for a time as shock set in. He wanted me to become Jake Hadwell's girlfriend over the next six months for $5,000,000. I stared dumbfounded into the briefcase he showed me. I'd never seen that much money before in my life.

He drew the briefcase away from me and shut it. My mind began to pick up processing information once again. I could be a millionaire and all I had to do was be Jake Hadwell's girlfriend. But Jake was a video game nerd and I had trouble seeing myself simply talking to the guy. And from what his father had said, there couldn't be the merest suspicion from his son that this was anything other than a completely honest relationship on my part.

I wouldn't be able to tell any of my friends or they'd pass the word along and he'd eventually hear of it. In other words, my friends would likely ridicule me for my actions should I accept this offer. The introduction of the sexual aspect our relationship was supposed to take on should Jake desire it so.

Then there was the $5,000,000 offer. I'd be rich. I wouldn't need to take on a full or part time job or worry about student loans. Still...

If I said yes, I'd have to give up my ideal of what my Senior year should be like. I'd either need to refuse going to the Prom with Jeff, the school's quarterback and the most likely guy to win Prom King. I was the head cheerleader and the most likely candidate for Prom Queen and the two of us going to the dance together just seemed natural. But I'd have to either sit it out at home or - God forbid - show up on Jake's arm.

But, he was offering $5,000,000. I did a quick computation and figured it would be roughly 180 days. I rounded it off to 200 and came up with the figure of $25,000/day or a little over $1,000 per hour - at least if he kept up his side of the bargain.

"How do I know that you'll pay me when all's been said and done? After all, this isn't exactly something I could sue you over for breach of contract. How about wiring half a Mill each month and the rest upon graduation?" I asked.

Bruce was surprised at the girl's counter offer. He didn't think she would be bright enough for something like that. He looked down at her and smiled, "You are a smart one, I think you'll get along with my son just fine." He shook his head, "No cash up front honey. But I'll tell you what. The moment my son comes to me with a smile and says he finally has a girlfriend, I will send an envelope to your house with a cool half a million inside."

"What I will do is give you this." He took out a hundred dollar bill and set it on the table. "Take this and get my son a valentine's day thing. I do believe that is next week right? Wouldn't that be a great night to spend in the arms of your new boyfriend." His eyes narrowed at her. "Believe me you will be paid. I will not risk you telling my son about this, I want nothing more than for him to be happy."

* * * * *

Jake did not want to be at school today. The new Final Fantasy game had come out today and he wanted to rush home and play it, not sit in Biology learning about mitosis. He sat in the back of the class, completely ignoring the teacher's speech. Instead he doodled on his notebook and waited for the bell to ring.

Halfway through the class there was the morning announcements over the P.A. system. One of the things mentioned was valentine's day grams. Jake sighed and shook his head, "Yeah right," he muttered to himself. "Same popular girls getting candy from dumb asshole jocks that want nothing more than to stuff them full of mayonnaise." He sighed. He might be upset, but he couldn't help but also be jealous that he didn't have the attention of a beautiful girl.

He day dreamt constantly about the girls on campus. Especially the cheerleaders, god they were like little gifts from heaven. It must have been a horny old man that invented cheer leading, wanting some eye candy for the players.

Kim,
Be my valentine.
Jeff

I swear, the guy was about as romantic as a frozen dinner. I could always count on Jeff to cut to the point. I sighed. I'd have to break up with him today. It wasn't any great loss. He and I weren't ronantically involved - no matter what locker room stories he might have told.

I tossed the Valentine's Day gram into the trash. Jenny and Helen looked at me like I'd lost my marbles. They didn't know why I would be doing what I did during the remainder of our final year in high school. I told them that I was tired of the way Jeff took me for granted and that I was going to find someone who'd better appreciate me for me.

"So, you and Jeff are breaking up?" Jen asked. I knew she had a thing for him and just nodded agreeing that our relationship was a thing of the past. I knew I could trust the two of them to get the word around school that the hunky blond haired, blue eyed quarterback and the tall, slim, dark haired lead cheerleader were breaking up.

I still wondered how I'd get Jake to see me as within easy reach rather than unattainable.

When lunchtime arrived, I took my tray and rather than sitting with my friends, Jeff - now known by well over half the school as my ex - and his friends. I walked instead to the table where Jake sat and asked, "Mind if I sit here?" before seating myself across from him.

I ate absently for a time before talking to him, "Look, ummm it's Jake, right? I was hoping you'd do me a favor. I've dropped hints and told Jeff Harrison that I wanted to break up with him. Even now, I'm pretty sure that he doubts that I'm serious and that he can win me over with a flash of his baby blues and a winning smile. Would you mind at least acting like... oh, I don't know... like maybe you and I are together? If I gave you the money, would you be willing to buy me a Valentine's Day-gram?"

I swear this day was never going to end. Each tick of the clock moved at a snails pace. When the bell rang for lunch I was honestly excited, until I realized it was only the lunch bell and I grumbled my way to the cafeteria. As I walked the halls, people were talking about Kimberlee Carson breaking up with her boyfriend Jeff. i don't know why it was news, everyone knew Jeff was a giant cocksucking d-bag and it was only a matter of time before Kim realized that she was hot enough to get someone better.

I ignored the talk and grabbed my lunch from the line. They were serving burgers today, with shitty rubber-tasting french fries. My word the school system fed us well. Whatever, a depressing lunch for a depressing day. Okay maybe it wasn't going to be a completely depressing day, I mean I had a cool game to look forward too after school, I just needed to get through the rest of my classes.

When she sat down in front of me, I didn't realize who she was at first. I thought it was just one of the fat girls from band or something needing a place to sit. But then I actually looked up and saw her sitting there. Kim Carson! Sitting with me!

MY burger slipped from my hand and splatted onto the plate as I looked at her with awe. "K...Kimberlee?" I asked in a dumbfounded voice. I closed my eyes for a second and cleared my throat, trying not to sound completely stupid. "Wait, you want me to buy you a valentine gram? That wouldn't proove anything. You probably get grams from lots of guys wishing they could be with you." I told her. "Just tell Jeff to go fuck himself. I bet he'll get the picture if you knee him in the balls, god knows he deserves a little busted ball or two." I said, unable to hide my hatred for that guy.

I looked at her for a second and saw she wasn't exactly getting up and leaving right away. "Wait you're serious?" I asked suddenly interested. I couldn't believe Kim was coming to me of all the guys in school she could have picked. "You aren't setting me up for some horrible joke are you? Because I...don't think I could deal with that right now."

I shook my head at his suggestions. While I had received a few Valentinegrams since word got out, they tend to be little more than crude suggestions as to what the sender and I might do once school broke for the day.

"I've tried telling him where to go and what to do. Jeff's just so in love with himself that he can't understand why anyone else wouldn't be. If you could write something sweet, I'll make sure that he sees that I'm interested in the mystery man who sent me the valentine's. Oh yeah, don't sign it. I don't want him deciding that beating you up will teach you a lesson or anything. I'll owe you one - big time."

I dab one of the fries in ketchup and ate it before meeting his gaze with my own. "So, what do you say? Will you be my Valentine?" I asked with a soft smile.

I couldn't figure out if this was a trick or not. I mean that would be the only reason that Kim would even talk to me, much less be super flirty with me of all people. At the same time though, maybe she just really needed a favor and sending a gram to her, especially anonymously, didn't seem like it could backfire on me in any way.

She grabbed one of my fries and dipped it in ketchup and I nodded. "Okay I guess I can do that." I told her. "I'll submit it at the end of lunch break so you should get it next period or maybe the one after."

I dug out a piece of paper from my backpack to begin writing her a little note. The question was what do I put down for her. I waited until she had moved back to her friend for the rest of lunch and decided on writing a poem. It didn't take me long, I have had a crush on Kim for as long as I could remember. I wrote the most beautiful things I could think of about her into it.

Once it was finished I stood up and went to the office where I could have them put the poem on a valentine's gram.

By the time I sat in the next class I was actually feeling pretty good. I wish she and I had the same classes so I could see the look on her face when she read it. Wait no, nevermind, this was only a favor to her so she could get Jeff off her ass. Maybe I had gone too far with the poem, oh jeeze. She's gonna know I like her and she'll just laugh at me, maybe show the poem to her friends so they can snicker behind my back as I walk through the halls. Oh fuck me.

I grinned my thanks to Jake then dumped my food out and returned the tray. When I turned around, he was busy scribbling something in his notebook and Jeff and his friends had gone outside. So, I returned to sit with my friends.

"Kim, what were you doing sitting with what's-his-face?" Jenn asked.

"Come on, now. If I'd sat with you guys, Jeff would've expected me to 'be overwhelmed by his awesomeness.' Besides, it wasn't like Jeff'd think that Jake was about to fill his shoes or anything. Besides, the guy's kinda sweet in his own way," I responded.

They gave me a look like I was losing my mind. It was no more than I'd expected. Maybe I should've held out for more...

-----------------------------------------

A poem. An honest to God poem. The closest I might have expected from Jeff would be along the lines of - Roses are red, Violets are blue, How about after the game, I fuck you.

From reading it, I guessed that Jake probably had a crush on me or something. It'd make things much more easy my reading between the lines proved to be accurate. It also made me smile. I hadn't really expected much and he'd definitely surprised me.

"What're you smiling about?" Helen asked. "Did Jeff send you another 'gram and play nice?"

I shook my head, "No, but it looks like I've got a mysterious admirer and just look at this," I said showing her the message for a few seconds before reclaiming it.

"Damn girl. Whoever it is has the hots for you big-time. I've never received poetry or been the subject of one like that," she said somewhat wistfully.

"Yeah, I know what you mean. I wonder who sent it," I said with a sigh in my voice.

"You know who it probably is, don't you? Jake Hadwell. After all, it did come after you sat with him at lunch."

I hadn't expected his identity to be found out so soon.

"That doesn't mean anything. I've gotten four 'grams today once word spread that Jeff and I were no longer a couple," I responded. Then to change the topic, "... and I wonder who could've spread the word."

She wouldn't meet my eyes. "It's okay. I know you've had the hots for Jeff for awhile now. You've got my blessing if you want. Just don't come back to me accusingly when you find out he's totally self-absorbed. Honestly, I swear, if it were physically possible, I think he would fuck himself." She grinned and looked more than a little relieved. "Me. I'm gonna see if I can find out who my admirer really is and who knows..."

I smiled inwardly. I knew I could trust Hellen to also help spread word of my mysterious admirer and the effect his poetry had upon me.

I really hadn't expect much to happen when I sent that gram to Kim. But when I left class and began heading toward final period, I could hear the students in the halls talking about some poem Kim got that had he all flushed and hot and bothered. I remember that she had wanted to act like she had gotten something that made her forget about Jeff, but I wondered if it was all and act for her stupid friends. Maybe my poem did get to her in a good way.

I wouldn't know though. I mean I did her the favor she asked of me and as such I probably wouldn't see her again. Then I got to my class and one of Kim;s friends smiled at me as I took my seat.

"I didn't know you had such a way with words Jake. I thought you were just a dork, but that was a great poem." She told me.

I think she had just given me a backhanded compliment but I figured it was the best thing I would get from her so I said, "Uh thanks."

After class was over I hurried out to my car. Thoughts of Kim gone from my mind because now I could go home and play my game. My feet skided to a stop as I saw Kim leaning against my car. In her hand I saw the Valentine's day gram and I blinked in confusion. Was she waiting to yell at me or something? I had only just done what she wanted of me.

I walked up to her slowly, "Uh Hey Kim." I said, "How'd the gram work out?"

Classes dragged by as I wondered how to deal with the whole situation so that it didn't backfire or cause any colateral damage. Jeff was the hottest guy in our class and knew it. He could also be a serious pain in the ass when things didn't go his way.

I felt some measure of relief when he gave me one of his superior grins as he walked down the hall with Helen. He stopped her then and gave her a kiss. I guess he was over me or wanted to relay the message that he'd moved on to greener pastures. She gave me a smile and a wink to which I simply nodded. Everything was still cool between Helen and me. As far as Jeff went, boys will be boys.

-----------------------

Helen caught me in the hallway after final period. "I know who your mystery man is. I was right and it was Jake," she said. She continued to explain how she'd complimented him on the poem and he'd uncomfortably thanked her.

She patted my shoulder in commiseration. In her mind's eye, I'd just dropped the hottest guy in our class for a dork who's only joy in life lay in computer games and their operating systems. I shrugged as though to tell her that the 'gram had given me a glimpse of the man hidden inside the nerd and - from what I'd seen - he was worth it.

I grabbed my bookbag and headed for homeroom. I hadn't expected things to move so quickly; but, all plans need to be adjustable. I had hoped for that extra time to make Jake more assured that what was happening between us was real and not some mean practical joke centered on him.

I also knew that if Helen knew Jake was the guy behind my 'gram, Jeff would also learn of it. In for a penny, in for a motherfucking pound I guessed.

Once the final announcements were made and the bell rang, I zeroed in on Jake's car. I walked to it then waited for him to arrive.

I scanned the other students leaving the building and either heading for the parking lot or the busses. I saw him then. He looked relieved to be done with the school for the day and even had a look on his face that suggested he was looking forward to something.

Then he saw me and skidded to a halt. He eventually continued his approach if at a slower pace. "Uh Hey Kim." he said, "How'd the gram work out?"

I smiled as I pushed away from the car and stepped toward him. "How'd it work, he says," I said aloud as though talking to myself. I wrapped my arms around him and kissed him. His shock allowed me to slip my tongue into his mouth briefly. I backed up a step after breaking our kiss. "I've never received anything like that before. It was beautiful. I was expecting something short and sweet. Nothing like that," I paused. "Do you really feel that way about me?" I asked as I leaned against his car once more. "Do me another favor? Drive me to the mall?"

There are a few things that ran through my mind upon seeing Kim at my car. Maybe she nust wanted to thank me for the favor, or yell at me that the poem was too much, or maybe slap me for making it obvious that i had written the poem in the first place. What I never expected was a kiss. Not a bullshit peck either, she really really kissed me. Her tongue even poked into my mouth and i stoof there in shock by it all.

My first kiss with the girl of my dreams and I froze up like a complete tardnugget. She backed away with a smile and I became aware that other people had been looking. They were probably just as shocked to see her kiss me as I was. I needed to remember to write her more poems in the future.

She smiled and asked me for another favor. A drive to the mall? I could do that, i mean my video game wasnt going anywhere and i would be willing to put it off for more kisses. "Sure. I can take you to the mall no problem. You meeting somekne there or something?" I asked.

Without thinking about it, I opened the door for her and shut it behind her as she got into the car. I moved around to my side and climbed in, then realized with a groan that I had a wallet size picture of her in her cheerleading uniform hanging from my rearview mirror. I blushed and tugged the picture down, hoping she wouldnt say anything about it.

I put the car into gear and headed off toward the mall. God the looks I got with Kim in my car were amazing. I bet the other girls thought my cock was huge now, right? I mean girls would figure that my big dick would bebthe only reason Kim would move from Jeff to riding away in my car.

I felt good all of a sudden.

I couldn't help my surprise at seeing my picture hanging from his rear-view mirror. I raised one brow at that. He'd blushed as he quickly and quietly took it down and placed it someplace safe. It looked like the back seat area hadn't been cleaned in ages and it held enough cans to perhaps pay for filling the gas tank. Other than seeing my picture hanging like some car freshener, it was no more than I'd expected.

He asked if I was meeting someone at the mall. "No, I'm going to the hairdresser's and I plan to do a little shopping," I said. "You see, I was really flattered by the poem you sent and showed it to a friend. She said she mentioned it to you and you admited to writing it. I knew that by tomorrow, or the day after, it'd be common knowledge that you sent me a v'gram and how affected I was by it. So, if you don't mind, I want to see about perhaps changing your 'look' a bit. Just a haircut, styling and a slight change in wardrobe. Nothing drastic or anything you'd feel uncomfortable with. Just a touch here and there."

Silence hanged heavy in the car. "Would it help if I asked you to at least pretend to be my boyfriend for a while? If you don't want to or feel totally weirded out I'll understand and you can drive me home instead."

I paused a second then asked again - although the picture of me in my cheerleading uniform strongly hinted at the answer to my question, I asked it never-the-less, "Your poem. Do you really feel that way about me?"

It through me off a little the way she seemed to want to change me right away. But I knew she was right to want too. I didn't put a lot of effort into my appearance day to day, I never felt the reason too since I knew I wasn't the kind of guy girls were going to go after. But now with Kim, even she only wanted to pretend to be my girlfriend for a little while, it made sense to get myself groomed up a little bit.

I turned to her and nodded, "Alright Kim. I'll be your boyfriend for a while. I'll even let you cut my hair and dress me however you think I might look cooler. Hell maybe it might be fun to see people look at me in awe with you at my side."

She asked me about my poem and I blushed, "Yeah about that. I guess I do. I mean I've known you since sixth grade, you were the most beautiful and incredible girl I've ever known and I often found myself wishing I could know you better, that I could be your boyfriend for just one day. I thought of so many things I would give up to be Jeff whenever I saw you take him under the bleachers after football games. I hate Jeff so much, but in those moments I could never help but be jealous of him."

I pulled into the mall parking lot and found a space outside of the Macy's. When I killed the engine I looked at her and said, "Kim, I know I'm not the best looking guy, I'm not cool or popular. But sometimes that isn't everything. I would treat you like a goddess, guys like Jeff will only ever treat you like a plaything."

I gave her a gentle smile and killed the engine, then got out of the car and came around to open the door for her. "Real men, treat their women with love and repect and I've heard that they are repaid with mindblowing sex." He said with a wink. "To have the love of a beautiful woman is the meaning of life in my eyes....But in the meantime I'm satified blowing up shit in a video game." He gave her a wink and they headed toward the mall entrance.

"So where too first?"

I took in all he said. Wow, since sixth grade... I honestly never knew. I grinned at his comment about mind-blowing sex in response to being treated like a goddess. In a number of little ways, his persona seemed much more assured than it had at lunchtime. Was he walking a little straighter? Did he look a tad bit taller? Perhaps it was nothing more than my imagination; but, I didn't think so.

I found myself grinning at his 'meaning of life' comment and hitched my arm into his as I considered where we were to start on his slight transformation. Like I'd told him, I didn't plan to make a total make-over. Just enough to make some difference.

The real job wasn't to change his outward appearance but to change how he thought about himself. If you think you're a geeky dork, no matter whether he had plastic surgery and looked like he'd just walked off the cover page of a men's fitness magazine, he'd still be that geeky dork.

Where to start? If my mind wasn't playing tricks on me, his posture hinted that we'd already gotten a good start.

"Well, how about the hair-stylist? And as for what you said earlier, treat me like a goddess and we'll see," I said with a wink.

We walked arm in arm into the mall and I brought us to my hairdressers. I told her what I wanted, which was very close to how his hair currently was. Just a snip here and a part there. We kept up a flowing commentary while she worked. I told Janice about the v-gram Jake had sent me and his promise to treat me like a goddess. I gave a flicker of a smile to him as I made the second comment.

"What about that guy Jeff you've been talking about? What happened to him?" she asked.

I waved it off telling her that he and I had broken up.

When she was through, I don't know how to explain it; but, Jake looked just like himself only more so. I gave Jake and Janice a two thumbs up.

I smiled at her joke. The mind-blowing sex thing had only been a gag and I was glad that she was playful enough to go along with it. I had watched Kim for a long time and I knew that she was smart and witty beyong what her popular and rather dumb friends thought.

Her joke just put me in an amazing mood. I even forgot about the video game waiting for me at home. I felt prous when she took my arm. Nothing feared me more than making her ashamed of being seen with me, which is why I agreed to her little make-over changes. If she was going to be seen with me, the least i could do was not look horrible by her side.

We went to the salon first where i was introduced to Jen and sat to get my hair cut. Kim worked very closely with the woman cutting my hair to make sure it came out right. While hair fell from my head the girls made small chat. Talking about Kim breaking up with Jeff and such.

Once I was finished Kim gave me a thumbs up and I looked at myself in the mirror. I looked the same. I mean my hair sat a bit cleaner on my head I guess, but it looked the same to me. Well at least she was honezt about small changes I suppose.

After we said goodbye to the people at the salon I glanced at Kim and asked, "So where too now?" Wondering what else she wanted me to do. I was thinking of asking to touch her breast after all was said and done. I think that would be fair.

As we'd been approaching the mall, the Pretty Woman shopping spree had come to mind only I didn't have that kind of cash - at least not yet. We'd have to settle on a new pair or two of slacks and some shirts that were stylish but that Jake felt comfortable wearing.

I paid Janice for the job she'd done and once again hooked my arm into Jake's before hauling him into the nearest clothing store. I picked a few shirts and asked Jake's opinion. I discarded a few that he may have said he liked fine but when he tried them on something told me he didn't really like wearing them.

Finally, I had to say something. "Jake, if you don't really like the clothes we're getting, it'll show in some way and others will pick up on it. Be completely honest. For me?" I said before leaning up to take a quick kiss in order to punctuate the importance of my request. The embrace lingered a short while longer than our first kiss only spit was not swapped this time. I looked into his eyes, "Okay?"

She had me try on these shirts, they were tight fitting and hugged me too closely. I didn't feel too confident in my body, so shirts that hugged my frame too tightly made me uncomfortable. Of course Kim could tell my distaste in what she was having me try and on urged me to say something. But I didn't want too, she was being nice to me and I didn't want her to know I didn't like what she was picking.

She came close and kissed me, trying to let me know that it was okay to fight against her. I sighed and put my hands on her hips gently, "I just don't feel comfortable in shirts that hug me so tightly. I want to look better, but I mean I don't want my belly to stick out so much." I told her.

I turned to the nearby racks and suggested, "I like the designs on these, they dont look like they'll fit as tightly on me."

I listened to Jake and looked at the shirts he pointed out. I picked a few that I found most promising and had him try them on. He looked a great deal more relaxed and himself in those shirts.

"Much better. There, was that so hard?" I asked with a smile. "All we need now are some jeans or slacks and we're off to the races." I asked him his waist and leg size then went about looking for something that's offer just the right contrast of color then handed a pair or two over. "Try the whole outfit on just to see," I suggested.

When Jake came out, I didn't offer a wolf whistle or anything - just an assuring smile. "Very nice. We'll take 'em."

I paid for the clothes over Jave's protests. "I know they're your clothes and all; but, you wouldn't have bought 'em in the first place if I hadn't been insistant. Wanna grab dinner? You're paying."

I felt better knowing that she liked the shirts I picked. I liked them once I tried them on. They felt better and didnt feel tight plua they looked alright he guessed. Once the shirt matter was settled and Kim seemed happy we moved onto pants. She picked out a couple for me to try on just to get a feel for the size I was supposed to be wearing to look cool.

I was fine with the pants so long as they didnt cursh my nuts. Ive seen guys wearing pants so thight that people had to wonder if they were females or not. They probably tuck thier sacks back. Ouch.

Anyway I tried on the items she wanted me to try on. Then Kim picked the ones that she liked on me and we were done. Once outside of the store I held up my bags and asked, "So what next?" I asked.

"Next? Well normally I'd ask you to drive me home; but, it is Valentine's Day so what do you say to dinner and a movie? It is Thursday and the weekend's almost here. I got most of my homework done during study hall. What do you say?" I queried.

I waited 'til he'd unlocked the doors then opened my door and got in. I looked over as he buckled himself in. "So, is it a date or do you have something you need to do at home?" I asked as I also pulled my seatbelt on. "If you're low on cash 'cuz you didn't exactly expect on taking me out on a date of sorts, I'll totally understand."

"I'm totally fine with Subways if that's bothering you."

I couldnt believe Kim seemed so intent on spending time with me. I wasnt going to complain but it just felt weird. I was used to being ignored and being alone. The sudden attention from the beautiful Kim of all girls was unnerving. That was my problem though not hers.

We walked back to my car and she let herself in before I could move to her side. She probably was uncomfortable with me doing it for her so I just got into the drivers seat and buckled up. She asked me if it was a date and then said something about cash.

I shook my head, "It is totally a date Kim. I wanna earn a nice kiss before we say goodnight." I told her with a wink. Money was no problem. My dad was pretty wealthy and had given me a bank account when I entered high school. Every week he put a few hundred bucks into the account as an allowance, which I usually used to buy video games or comics or whatever. I suppose a better use of the money would be to take her out of a date.

"Do you like steak?" I asked her, "I know a great place down the road we can go, plus it is right around the corner from the theater."

I hadn't been expecting him to offer to take me out to a really nice place like this, I thought as we pulled in. I'd never been to this place. It wasn't pricey, exactly; just more so than Subways or Burger King.

"Ummm... sure - medium rare," I said in answer to his question. "I hope I'm not taking too much of your time and stuff. I guess I just wanted to talk and get to know you a bit if you're going to be my 'boyfriend' is all."

I waited until we were parked then smiled a thank you to him. I remained in the car, since he seemed to be big on the opening doors thing. I'd noticed a look that bordered between disappointment and a note to self.

Once I'd unbuckled and he'd opened the door for me, we walked companiably to the restaurant's front door.

Kim and I were shown to a booth and I sat across from her. I noticed the look I got from the hostess, as if she didn't see why this girl was here with me. I don't know how long I would be able to handle those looks, especially if strangers were giving them to me, on top of everyone at school. Then again, maybe this would be a good challenge for my life. Let people wonder, maybe if I was nice enough to her Kim might actually start to like me, genuinely.

If I got Kim to truly want to be with me, then fuck those people. I believed that the only thing that matters is having the love of a good woman. Maybe Kim could be that woman for me, and if not, she would at very least be great learning experience. Worst case scenario is I go back to playing video games, I could think of worst things.

Anyway we got our drink order taken and I looked across at her, "So Kim, getting to know each other huh?" I asked, "Like what? Favorite movies? Dreams and asperations? That kind of stuff, or would you like to know about the birthmark on my butt the shape of Florida?"

I followed the waitress to our table. She asked about our order. I asked what they had to drink and was told the usual: milk, tea, coffee, Pepsi, Ginger-ale and Mountain Dew... She, of course, didn't bother telling us what was on tap.

I ordered milk once I'd assured myself that it was one a brand that didn't use artificial growth hormones. I saw her cast a questioning eye toward the two of us. The unspoken, 'What're you doing with him?' received a slight arch of my brow with its unspoken, 'Wouldn't you like to know.'

"So Kim, getting to know each other huh?" he asked, "Like what? Favorite movies? Dreams and asperations? That kind of stuff, or would you like to know about the birthmark on my butt the shape of Florida?"

I couldn't help the laugh that escaped me right then. Afterwards I asked in a hushed tone, "A birthmark the shape of Florida? Are you kidding or are you for real? And stay seated. Do not try to show it to me now."

I giggled a little more then out of curiosity asked after his dreams and asperations. "And please don't tell me it's to get a picture of that birthmark on maps.com or something," I pleaded with a grin.
