The end of Iran as we know it?

I remember some talk in 2002 about the King of Afghanistan playing that role, but nothing came of it.
One thing that Reza Pahlavi mentions in his interview is that Iran has a huge advantage that other repressed states don’t: a prosperous and patriotic diaspora.

The Iranians in Iran won’t be going it alone. They have a legion of Iranians living abroad who are willing to pressure outside governments to help, or funnel money and resources to a democratic regime.

Much like the rebirth of Israel couldn’t have happened without the resources of the Jewish diaspora, the Persian diaspora will be the midwife of the new Iran.

I went to Georgetown U in the 1980s -- one occasionally saw Iranians on campus carrying signs about Khomeini's lust for a theocratic empire. (Iraq was at war with Iran and clearly the aggressor, but these expats hated the Islamic Republic so much they sided with Iraq.)

As I’ve mentioned before I live in the heart of the Persian diaspora in LA. I love the Persian people. They’re smart and generous and gregarious. And I also know they loathe the current leadership of Iran. They’re like Cuban exiles in Florida.

It is alleged that the great rag head leader is planning to exit to Moscow. Strange he couldn't find a Muslim nation that would take him.

Israel has authorized attacks against IRGC targets in support of the demonstrators.

The reports of the head rag head fleeing to Russia keep leaking out.

As the true leader of the faith shouldn't he martyr himself just as he's asked so many thousands of other to do? And if he doesn't it puts the entire notion of Islam and Jihad to lie.

I’m still waiting for the Radicalized democrat street to start protests to free Iran…Oh wait…

Apples and apricots.

Is anyone really expecting the IRGC to join the rebels?

What would the IRGC even BE in a post-islamic-Republic Iran?

Tomorrow might be a turning point one way or another. There is conjecture that the IRGC will concentrate for a brutal reprisal campaign against one or two cities. This is the point where the IDF could possibly attack the IRGC concentration points.

I'm getting 1914 vibes from that.
