The Grey and Black Wars

OOC: you and you're character are both intelligent. Either have a fake one that I stole instead or get it back. It was never my intention to just get away with this you know. If neither of these work for you I suppose I can edit. ... Now you know that'll cost you your wallet. :)

OOC: I am just being reasonable... they are both skilled thieves...

Pretty little Tove fought like a lion and eventually ran to hide behind the big elf that had protected her earlier. Much to her own delight the guards all came after her taking the assassins as her friends and starting a fight in with them as well. She was dodging in and out between the guards and the two elves as the guards tried to follow and catch her but with the elves fighting back it grew into something much larger than a simple chase.

Meanwhile the little thief slipped away from the fray as she was quickly forgotten.

Men were so stupid...

Add liquor and shake... watch the fun. She waved to Selene and Jon as they left, she would have to stay here and clean up this mess, get fired probably... oh well. She ran to a corner and hid for a moment watching... and smiling. Thought she did feel bad for the bigger elf.

As the guards charged Tirinath threw the knife he had drawn and caught one of them in the throat, with the grace and speed and power that only an elf could muster he flipped several tables to fortify his position. A guard drew near and immediately Tirinath's scimitar flashed from its scabbard and cut his throat. The young human girl from earlier ran and hid behind him as he cut another down. He then saw the girl run to a corner. as he parried a strike he threw two knives and killed two guards who were running toward K'ahl. With a quick front kick he dislodged the opponent who was attacking him and drove the sword through him. He then saw a guard approaching the girl and in a flash of movement leapt the tables he had knocked over and snapped a guards neck with a kick. He came up behind the guard who was approaching the girl and ran him through mere feet from her.

Tove really didn't think that the elf would save her as she was about to get attacked. She stared up at him, despite the fact that they were in the middle of a fight and covered in blood and bruises she wanted to thank him for saving her. But now... now was not the time.

She felt a little blush creep across her features and felt herself suddenly grabbed from behind, she let out a strangled cry before pulling out the knife he had given her and attacking the arms around her.

As Tove attacked the arms around her, tirinaths sword flashed once, and seperated the attackers head at the brow ridge. He grabbed Toves hand and pulled her "Come quickly lass" he said as he killed another guard and placed her behind his meagre fortifications. "Stay where you are." he said as he killed again.

She soon found herself covered in blood and dragged back into a corner and hidden behind his turned over table. She didn't mind the blood on her, well secretly she hated it but she would live. She didn't like the thought of being a burden on anyone.

"But!" But there was no stopping him as he ran off to continue fighting.

Well at least Selene and Jon were safe.

Jon watched as the little kid ran off and started laughing. It was true that the box had cost him a fortune to make but it was worth it. He had intended to leave it at the man's home when he had stolen the real one but now it had served an even better purpose. He saw Selene move towards the kid out of the corner of his eye and looked at her, the smile back on his face.

"There is no need. He stole a fake box. It was meant to be a swap for the real one but because of the guards that never happened."

He started to whistle as his hands went to one of his daggers. Maybe his luck was changing.

OOC: Fair enough shall I drop it, toss it, return it, or edit? The choice is yours. I can get busted by an adult who I also stole from who makes me return the goods to my other now embarrassed victims. I could discover a hidden lock and lose interest discarding it coincidentally near your present location. That would lead to an interesting dialogue between Jon and Selene. Again, your call but I would hate to have to edit a previous post...

IC:
K'ahl was silently laughing to himself over his friends skill, still what it was so many years ago. Then growing tired of going hand-to-hand with humans he drew his massive cleaver with a sigh. Time to paint the walls. But it was a shame to ruin his outfit. After a final goodbye was said over his Scarlet High-Elf's cloak, he burst into action. With a broad swing and a thrust he felled six guards. How many of these fools are there? Well, might as well make a sport of it. "Well old friend, can you keep up?" He smirked. "And don't use Humans as an excuse." K'ahl drove his sword through a guard's lung making a sickening slap. He looked to the open door as he fought and saw that more guards were still streaming in. Then he looked down and after a brief pause thought, Hell, I've got time. With that he was back into the fray.

Tirinath smiled at his old friend, and continued fighting. cutting throats and taking heads at every stroke. Mere human guards are no match for Elven Warriors. Tirinath threw more knives and slashed around him. This was fun for him, this tavern was under the auspices of the assasins guild, legal repercussions would be handled. he stole a glance back to the human girl, when he saw her safe he returned to the combat. a wicked smile on his face.

OOC: No whoops, substituting the fake was a good move, I'm just adding to it, assuming the whoops was on this topic anyways. If not I'm lost.

IC:
K'ahl Silvaris wiped the blood of his downed enemies from his face with one hand, where did his scarf go when he needed it. His sword hand skillfully batted away an arrow that drifted all too close to his eye. They've brought in the archers? This day was finally perking up.

K'ahl dove swiftly over a fallen stool, catching his scarf from his own table with his left hand and still cleaving with his right. Draping the excessively long garment around his face he returned to battle, blocking attacks with one hand and swinging his dripping crimson cutter with the other. As much as he enjoyed a good fight, he was growing weary of these toys.

K'ahl swung a blow at Tirinath's mid-section which the older elf flawlessly deflected (To K'ahls emmense satisfaction) without looking. Turning around the tall one gave a look of dissaproval.

"Come on, I'm bored, and It's been too long since we've sparred." He glanced around the room and dodged another arrow. "Unless it's too much for you." K'ahl caught another arrow and stabbed it into a mans jugular, still holding Tirinath's gaze. K'ahl thought he saw a change in the elf's eyes and couldn't help but smile. This could be becoming very interesting.

The man held him above the ground by the collar of his faded white tunic, analyzing him. Trying to determine his motives.
"Boy, Whassa' matter wit' chu." He asked, the moonlight twinkling off of his shaved black head. "We can't have young brotha's runnin' 'round stealin' shit from people.Black folks ain't liked enough anyway. Whas' yo' name?"
"Shut the fuck up Samuel L. Jackson! Let go a' me, what are you, some kinda pedophile?" Cairo lowered his voice and looked directly into the man's eyes. "Is you a priest?"
"Cute... real cute. I'll be havin' my wallet now, boy." He extended his hand expectantly.
"Ahh, fuckit..."

********

As Cairo shuffled through the crowd, prodded along by the man who he now knew as "Preacher", he found himself regretting stealing the damn box in the first place.
"Who was it?" the man asked, "Them?"
"..."
The man pulled a cloth hat out of his pocket and adjusted it on his head. "I'll take that to mean yes."
"''scuse me ma'am, sir," He pulled the box from his vest pocket. "S'one of you missing this?"
JON - "well I'll be da-"
"Boy, apologize!"
Cairo shifted his feet and continued to stare at the dirt. "... I-"
"Show some respect, boy!" The man pushed Cairo to his knees where he fell into a bow. He extended his arms and lowered his head so his forehead was resting on the cool evening sand. "I- I'm sorry I stole your box!" Instead of rising he remained still, hiding his eyes.
Just then a nearby guard spotted the scene. "Hey You!"
"Gak!" The boy shot to his feet. " Grief!" the young wolf, dashed around the corner, tripping the guard and three civilians. With that the pair were off down the dark streets once more.

********

The wolf nuzzled its nose against the boy's cheek. "Why did I let myself get caught?" He smiled at his friend. "Preacher likes me, I can use him, and besides. There's something special about those two. The man... I didn't notice at first but. He saw me." He looked out to the stars still grinning. "I think I found my way into the guild."

Tirinath chuckled inside, and lowered himself into a fighting crouch and without looking back threw a knife into a man's throat. "Defend yourself." he shouted to K'ahl as he swung, making sure to slash a guards throat as he attacked the smaller elf.

K'ahl Silvaris

The young elf ducked, allowing Tirinath's sword to impale the clown behind him with the flimsy human-craft knife. Taking advantage of this moment's opening, He aimed a firm punch for Tirinath's gut.

Tirinath saw the punch and twisted, his sword slashing its way out of the human he had stabbed, he finished his spin with a throat slash and laughed "I thought i was the Elder?" he said as his shin flew toward K'ahl's temple.

K'ahl Silvaris

K'ahl had had few moments in his life that he had wished to be larger. This was one of them. The blow sent him sprawling into the air, dropping his sword to the floor. As he lay recovering he watched Tirinath fight off the guards from he and K'ahl at once. "Always looking out for me, eh Tirinath?" He fastened his hands around his sword. "Let's see if you show off when the position is reversed!" He was on his feet and attacking again. As he lunged at Tirinath he brought up his foot and kicked a guard sending his lowered head upward. Missing his primary target he spun a little and grabbed the guard he hit by the hair, pulling him into an arrow that was aimed for him. He swung the guard by his hair and threw him at Tirinath, following up with a downward swing of his well-bloodied bade. "I suppose we shall see who is the swifter!"

Tirinath caught the guards body and used it to block K'ahl's cleaver. He took the brutally hacked body and flipped it to the ground, hoping to disarm K'ahl due to the cleaver being in the dead body. "I am still the stronger, lad." he said killing a guard that was lying on the ground wounded.

K'ahl Silvaris

If there was one thing that K'ahl hated more than losing, It was losing to a friend, but he was not prone to ignorance and he had to accept an imminent defeat. In his mind, but not on the game board. For now, we play.
Warming up to the heat of battle and beginning to feel like it was the good old days again, K'ahl dodged his opponents next attack and spun out his blade at the same time. Taking a brief respite he began cutting up guards and dodging arrows, working around the room, trying to get behind Tirinath, but he wouldn't have it. Damn, K'ahl thought, I have to hit him at least once...

“I hurt you... I regret that. I couldn’t have survived here—many of us were forced out of the Guild on pain of death, and without the Guild’s protection, I wouldn’t have lasted long here in Water Deep—not then. I was too young. I would rather you be bitter with me now, than to have mourned my death then. There hadn’t been time to tell you—our expulsion was swift and merciless…”

His frown deepened at the thought of that. Did she really think that he had known that? Of course he knew that now but back then he knew that she would have come for him, told him... they could have left together.

It was obvious from the way she reacted, even before she spoke, that she hadn't known about it and she felt silly.

“There’s a price on your head? Did you honestly think that I’d be the one to… that I could—I could never, Talon. Never. Who wants you dead?"

"There's quite a few Dahlia," he said looking into her eyes. He could see how much she really was worried about him. "Listen... I'm sorry but you don't need to get involved in this," he said. "This war... it's getting worse and worse and... maybe you should just go back into exile..." He said. True he didn't want her to go deep deep down... But it would be safer...

The guards seemed to lose interest as their casualties mounted and many started fleeing. Tirinath spun to face K'ahl "Stop trying to hit me and hit me." he said, intentionally leaving himself open.

OOC: I am currently on my PSP and it is taking forever to type this. I'll be back soon to finish this post. Okay I'm back.

IC:
K'ahl stared mouth agape at his friend's possessed body. "Morpheus?" he studdered. "How could- how did- Get out of Tirinath!"

K'ahl lunged at Tirinath and struck him, or so he thought. "Over here." came a voice from behind, then in a heart beat, K'ahl was crashing into the bar, knocking half-finished drinks in all directions.
"You've learned some new moves." K'ahl observed that his rib was broken and turned to see the damage the impact did to the bar. He was glad that he didn't have to clean this up. "This isn't working... You act, I'll react. Make your move."
