Actually, you can't post whatever you want. I believe it breaches the forum rules to post spam. For example, Forum Guidelines, Rule 6 expressly states: "Spam is strictly forbidden." I think it even says in the upper right corner of the web pages: "Free Speech, No Spam" just to remind you in case you forget.

I also think that there are rules against attempting to hijack threads. This may, arguably, fall under Forum Guidelines, Rule 9 prohibiting the needless flooding of the forum and posting random, unrelated links likely constitutes non-substantive activity. It is actually just common courtesy to not randomly post weirdness all over the place, regardless of whether you are breaking forum guidelines or not.

Yes, I do. It means, among other things, "to deliberately pester or annoy." To tell someone "fuck you" when they ask a valid question is an attempt to deliberately annoy.

To recap your implied argument: you're free to breach the forum rules and post whatever you want, but I'm not free to post an explanation as to why your behavior is wrong. Or another way to state it: you're free to do what you damn well please in violation of guidelines, but LB and I are not free to question it. Is that it? Because simply pointing out why it was a valid question was my attempt to educate you and to ask you to show some adult decorum. If you felt harassed, I'm sorry you took it that way.

I'm not specifying who reported anything - obviously I get that info in the email, but I'm not saying - but I received multiple reports of people being asshats. Just saying don't use the report button for it. That's not what it's for.

My brother was offered a rad new job in Seattle... I am so SO happy for him because it is an amazing opportunity...but selfishly, I am so SO sad for me! He leaves tomorrow, and I am not going to see him for at least 6 months..maybe up to a year and I miss him already.
