awww congrats R! :rose:

That's wonderful news; you will make a great grandma .

Pass on my best to Gil, hope he is doing ok.

.......................................................................

Withdrawing.

Think I might catch up with friends this weekend

Some situations seem to strip me of my submissiveness and I end up fighting to keep my head above water.
It makes me question my abilities. Actually it makes me question my core.

LOL read post above  It's horrible being so far away from her and I can't just drop everything and hop on a plane much as I would like to :( She finishes up at work soon and was planning on moving in with her bf but now I think that's all up in the air.

Sir is doing ok, still struggling with trying to quit smoking and dealing with his own stresses as well as mine

Hope you have a good weekend, sounds like some fun with friends is just what is needed ;)

I'm tired, and bored, but don't feel like sleeping.

On a good note, I did have a really good home cooked meal tonight. My first in 3 weeks. Hoping to get back on track.

Yup, most definitely hon.

This is the last of these type of weekends for me :rose:

Hope Gils attempts to quit go well, it's tough. Mum has managed it a few times; I think she just goes cold turkey and when she does Im glad that Im in Oz and she is in the UK :p

So this guy comes in today. He had a regular kind of longish guy cut...and then gelled it up. He looked like a cartoon character who had been eletricuted.

I did a double take myself, and then politely smiled at him. Unfortunately one of the other crew people did not have as much self control and pointed him out to another crew person who must have smirked.

The guy then got pissed and said if his hair was that funny, he'd just go some where else, and stormed out.

Now granted the crew person shouldn't have behaived the way she did, and I repremanded her for it, but if you're going to walk around looking like a freak, you shouldn't be surprized when people point and stare. Wave your freak flag and suck it up.

You know, I've always thought the same thing. I've done things that obviously go against the social norms, knowing that I'd get a range of reactions from the extremely positive to the extremely negative. I was prepared ahead of time for both. I think that's fair.

When I dyed my hair lavender, it was quite an adventure.

I wear some pretty out of the norm things some times, ranging from "glitter goth" to corsets to '40's throw back to steam punk and so on and so on. I know when I wear these things to Walmart, I'm going to get reactions ranging from giggles to galks to turned up noses. I'm prepared for that and I don't let it bother me. In fact, I do it to observe the different reactions on some level.

I do believe the crew person acted unprofesionally, but if he's not prepared for that, he shouldn't walk out looking like he did.

I have decided I like restaurants with vibrating pagers.

Because when your food is finally ready, it just feels so good.

And I love the expression on the staff's faces when you pull that flashing, vibrating thing out of your pants.

Try having your cell on vibrate and in the same location. I'm still trying to figure out how to turn my cell vibrate up to 11. But man is it fun when you get all those texts flying across the airwaves.

The line 'grow old with me, the best is yet to come' is a lovely sentiment.
But I want to be able to share good, wonderful amazing things now.
Sometimes there is no 'later date.'

Like saving for a rainy day, how do you know when it's the worst deluge and after that there will be no more monsoons heading your way.

So I went searching under D's pillow for his tooth, you know - doing tooth fairy duty, and found a pair of needle nose pliers. :eek:I did not, however, find the darn tooth!

Remind me the next time he loses a tooth to find a way to keep him sleeping closer to the ground. It's too hard to climb up to the top bunk AND look for a tooth. *grr*

My mom always had us wrap the tooth in a piece of tissue. Now I know why.

And yes, I slept in an upper bunk.

Sometimes I find it very difficult to ignore some people, even if I know I'd be better off just ignoring them altogether. It's my creepy inner masochist playing games on my mind.

Also, I have a rash on my neck. Where the hell did that come from and why now when I'm supposed to be presentable?!

If you ever manage to make it vibrate that much, I recommend not putting it in a pocket somewhere in chest hight and then falling asleep on top of it. You´re going to wake up thinking it´s a heart attack.

God damn why do pets have to die? It's so bloody unfair. My poor little ginger and white kitty boy died yesterday, and it's too sad to think he's never coming back :(:(:(
