Leave it to the folks at Franklin Liquors for your marshmallow wine pairings:

For your marshmallow peeps, we recommend a dessert wine made from Muscat. Again, it's the big aromatics in play here that will pair wonderfully with the subtle flavors and sweetness of the marshmallow. ST Supery Mocato is our recommendation. Italian Prosecco is also a great choice for the little peeps! These wines also work great with those other Easter basket favorites: Jelly Beans!

Dude, you are only considering the fluff...what about the nutter of the fluffernutter?! What about the spongy bleached cakey goodness of the bread that is cradles the flavors together!? When pairing foods with wine, you need to consider ALL of the elements of the dish. Sheesh.

Hmmm...are you thinking pinot noir or grigio? I have both on hand. I do not drink mixed drinks other than the occasional gin and tonic so your white russian will not see the light of day here.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Ya, I only drink a good scotch, whisky, or red wine, so I respect that. Between those two..definitely Pinot Noir. Bon Appetit! :)

I just had this carved into my 19th C mantlepiece: Never let the fact that you have nothing to say stop you from posting stupid random crap.

Say "bloody" again, though. So cool. :)

I forgot you had a british thing. I say oh dear, oh gosh and bum or pants instead of swearing (at work)

... just pull the string in my back

Wondering what the perfect wine pairing might be for a Fluffernutter.

Generally they say your food should not be sweeter than your wine so sweet would be the way to go. Something like a late harvest Riesling. But one of my wine food pairing aps actually has a peanut butter and marshmallow food category (who would have guessed) and it appears that the peanut butter outweighs all of the sweet. It's recommendation is a New World Cab Sauvignon.

I was hoping you'd find your way here to offer your view and expertise. I have three more days of Masters golf to watch, so I may be able to try out more than one pairing. Once the Masters is over, it will be almost two months before the next major championship and that's usually when I treat myself to fluffernutters every day.

Thanks for giving this a try. The challenge, though, is that the peanut butter is really the dominant flavor in this sandwich and I'm not sure how well the sweet wine will pair with the salty peanut butter.

Try this. :)

Yes. Say "bum." Also, can you say "scones" with a short "o" sound?

Let loose with the "o" jokes.

I say "bum" and "fudge" a lot at work.

Some times my swearing goes across the pond.
I think people piss me off to hear it.

Codine seems to just give me a headache. Codine and whiskey sends me into a deep sleep just as soon as the fire hits my belly.

Got it. A non-tannic cabernet sauvignon. Seems like your source agrees nicely with WW.

I've already picked out a bit of red to go with tomorrows Fluffernutter. It's the remainder of a bottle of Middle Sister Rebel Red. Might not be a perfect match with our experts' suggestions, but it saves me from buying a whole bottle just to go with my afternoon craving-satisfier.

Ahh...the finer things in life. :)

What do you recommend to bring out the subtleties of a well-aged box of Twinkies with snot-green filling?

Can anyone suggest a dinner to go with my Captain and Diet? No? I'll just skip it then.

No, the dinner, sillies, not the drink! Can you tell? ;)

That used to happen to me when I smoked clove cigarettes.

My friend reminded me that I'd been airbrushing with blue paint the day before. Must've been breathing Createx all morning. xD

But that's... an interesting body function.

You know, I have always thought Twinkies are the cock roach of junk food, and I sometimes wonder if eating mass quantities of such preservative ridden foods might be the secret to freakish longevity? Ok, no I don't think that...but the green Twinkies do make me think of radioactive super hero powers...and turtles. That said, if I had to pair it with something to wash it down with... I would opt for vodka (any kind that can be purchased in a gallon plastic jug) and Kool aide that is a color opposite on the color wheel (because it has no actual flavor) which would be red so opt for any flavor with Red Dye #40 and you should be good to go... that or 6-8 shots of good tequilla so you don't have to remember anything the next day... just a thought.

Is this a euphemism!? I love euphemisms... :D

Saw the therapist today for the first time. I was surprised that a.) I liked her, and b.) she actually gave me something useful to work with (unlike the other one I saw several years ago). I was impressed enough to make another appointment. The fact that she gave me hope that maybe I'm not as beyond help as I thought was worth every dime I had to pay her.

So, what do you do, when you're told, that your partner has landed on the same side of the forward slash as you in a long-ish (4+ years) D/s relationship?

Other than feel empty. At least the cat's out of the bag now, so that's good, I suppose.
