Ooooo....I've had that test -in BOTH arms! Be strong, wenchie, you can do it!!
*hugs*
:rose:

Thanks *huggles*

It's on my back and *hopefully* the back of my left leg. I'm hoping that is enough that I won't freak, since I shouldn't see them.

Meanwhile, Jounar thinks it's funny as hell.

Life really does suck sometimes and bad things always seem to happen to good people :(

I'm sorry, Nax.
*hugs*

My blurt?

I've totally forgotten... - man, must be getting old~ER!

Oh yeah.....myspace? Really? I DO seem to remember them...
:)

Baked broccoli-and-cheese stuffed chicken, rice and garden salad for dinner.

I am *burp* so stuffed! :cattail:

I'm getting edgy and excited and hopeful for no reason.

I would've heard something by now, goddamnit.

Relax. Study.

Fuck, canopy management is boring.

Where's the cookies?

11am and I've already had breakfast, watered the plants, made an apple cinamon quick bread, bound the quilt I've been waiting on a perfect thread for, and unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher.

Oh, and I've only been awake 2 hours. And today was suposed to be a light day.

Eating contests. Honestly?

Tell me I'm not the only person who sees these as one of the most vile and offensive activities on earth?

While millions of people go hungry every day, others make a sport of gorging themselves until they are nearly sick?

Humans. Blerg.

You're not the only one. My reasons for finding eating contests vile and offensive might not be quite as noble as yours, but they are definitely one of the most discusting and pointless things I can think of. And then there's Man v. Food, which is a TV series basically dedicated food portions the size of a small country and eating contests. Or challenges, rather. Yuck.

But yeah, "competitive eating" is something I just cannot wrap my head around.

Someone please tell me that it's ok to just give up... I am the one that originally broke up with my girlfriend. I am the one that also tried to get her back. Now, it is an endless journey of proving myself with no clear-cut destination. I feel like a circus monkey constantly made to perform and never getting the banana at the end. I am tired of hearing how something is not "good enough" or "right" after I have done my motherfucking best at what she asked. I do not function well with insecurity, and right now all I have is a laundry list of things she wants, with no "reward" when I accomplish those things...assuming of course that it is actually possible to accomplish them to her specifications. I am emotionally spent, exhausted...and wondering what I am fighting so hard for anyway...

I love her. I honestly do. My own self-awareness though is telling me that I can't do this much longer. She claims to love me. I don't believe it at the moment...

You're long distance, am I right?

I am about positive you can find someone close by who would cherish the hell out of you even with a husband in the picture.

Cut yourself loose, sweetheart. Get out there and start looking.

Yeah...she's about 5 hours away...We spend 4 days a month together. I'm just one of those people that sticks things out to the bitter end. I don't want to feel like I gave up to soon...that's what led me to try to get her back in the first place. But now, every time there is another thing that I don't do "good enough," or another broken promise by her, or another fucking day of uncertainty as to WHY I am doing this all in the first place, all I find myself becoming good at is being resentful, angry, and hurt.

You are being guilt tripped. It sounds similar to what my first husband put me through - everything I did didn't seem to be good enough for him. I thought if I tried harder to please him, I'd get at least some acknowledgement that I'd done good....but it never happened :(

You're resentful, angry and hurt. That does not make for any sort of good relationship. I agree with Stella - it's time to get out and find someone who will appreciate you for YOU :rose:

Nope. WAY better is the "eating other humans" contests. How many digits of hungry children can the challenger force down!!???? Go team!!!

I shouldn't participate in this conversation, I haven't the experience. But with that said...

I've read your posts, and I know that you broke up with her originally. Do you think that even then you knew something was 'off'? That you knew that if it wasn't right then, it wouldn't improve, the chasm would only grow wider?

I know you love her, and she says she loves you. Loving someone doesn't make them the right one for you to be with. Love doesn't mean that you're compatible. Or that you'll find some common ground. Love doesn't mean easy, but it also doesn't mean that you need to do things that are pointless to you, and of no value to the relationship.

You've been friends for a long time, but changing that dynamic to this extent requires more trust and understanding and communication that you've needed before as friends, or even lovers. Her expectations of you won't change. And what if her demands continue to rub you the wrong way? What if they increase by leaps and bounds. Even if you didn't 'fail', and you passed with flying colors, would it ever be enough for her, or would she continue to raise the bar to some unattainable height?

That's my two cents.

My only thoughts are that from your first post about this, it seemed to me, that you both 'failed' each other. ('failed' is from your interpretation) I find it telling that she sees the solution to this as you proving yourself to her versus the need for both of you to understand what went wrong and for both of you to work at getting the trust back in your relationship. That she seems to be taking no responsibility for the 'failing' in the first place and is only concentrating on what you need to do to fix it, is very telling. Suggests to me that she's forgotten that despite your D/s, that it is still a relationship...of two people. Seems to me she's putting too much emphasis on the D/s roles (permitting herself to think she has the right to do this to you) versus the emphasis on it being a relationship between two people with both of the two people involved needing to work on the relationship to make it work.

If it were me, and I hoped that this relationship was to continue and grow, I'd be adressing that issue with her...as equals...with the D/s taken out of the equation, for the discussion. Then again there is merit in the other comments you've received re letting go.

Color=DarkOrchid seems to be the trend for text in sig line this year.

I think I might have over done it yesterday.

I feel exhausted today.

On the other hand, I've been so pent up that I want to do do do still.

I think I'm gonna try some cleaning.

Well...sigh...the manuscript review came back from the editor. More work to do. Much less work than last time but still... work.

Guess I'd better roll up my sleeves and jump back in. It's been a nice vacation. See you all again in a few months.

Happy editing K.

Just remember to come up for air and let us know you haven't been killed by a knock on the head from a thesaurus
