The Isolated Blurt BDSM Thread

Spent about 6 hours looking for a new desk/shelf/some sort of storage furniture for my bedroom. Came home disappointed and (some what) empty handed. Ikea no longer has the one I really want. Meijers had something okay, but still not in love with. And Mom and her fella didn't even get here until after 4pm (which is why we went to Meijers looking for furniture). So disappointing all around.

But....

I did realize when I got home that if not finding the perfect storage furniture for my bedroom is the biggest disappointment in my life at the moment, then things are definitely looking up! :)

Date #5 with the "vanilla" woman today. She dropped the L-bomb at the end of Date #4. I think this will be our last date. We are worlds apart, not only in kink but emotionally as well...

Home from my date and it's 6:50PM. It ended very quickly when she called her dog, who is actually named "Baby,"...nigger. As in "come here nigger...come here...."

I think I have never been so horrified....

Four dates and the L word, and then date #5 you discover this

OMG, I think you had a lucky escape.

I can't imagine anyone being so stupid as to call their pet something that is so offensive.

Whoever you meet next, they will be better than this.

I hope you had a decent glass of wine (or whatever alcohol came to hand) sat back and felt happythere will be no date #6

xx

Heh, Hottie, I just remembered a kinda funny story along those lines. A teammate in undergrad rescued this black lab off the side of the road. She named it Reggin.

If the joke doesn't hit you immediately, spell Reggin backwards ;) Somehow, though, it was kind of a "heh that is offensive but I give you points for cleverness" joke instead of just a "OMIGOD WTF" joke...

I have just finished reading True Grit, after really enjoying the Coen Bros film of the book (I've never seen the John Wayne version, and had never read the book).

Hell's bells! What a FANTASTIC book! Impossible to put down. Gripping, absorbing, absolutely BEAUTIFULLY written and the ever-present, understated, bone-dry, sardonic wit just blew me away.

A gay slave just PM'd me:

"Master was all ready to jump into the controversy, but I distracted him by sucking his brains out through his dick."

I need me a slave like that. What a way to stay out of trouble!

I have been a saxophone player since I was 8 years old. Woodwind players are known to have the ability to suck the dimples off of a golf ball.

Just saying....

Unless she herself was black, it's an OMIGOD WTF moment for me.

She's not, but I think it wasn't "WTF" was because, well...you didn't know it was a racist joke unless she explained it or you saw her dog's name spelled. In conversation, she was just "Regan". Of course, keep in mind that she's in an area where the likelihood of her even hanging out with a black person, much less being in a situation where she must spell her dog's name for them, is pretty slim. So it's still offensive, but it's just hard for me to work up the energy for it.

Started reading The Shipping News last night. Have read all her short stories but never a novel before.

Jaybus, I'd forgotten how bleak her version of humanity is. I hadn't forgotten what an extraordinarily gifted writer she is though.

And Peter Jackson is producing, c'mon this should be wondrous and magical!

And Daniel Crag, Jamie Bell, and Pegg & Frost in it :D

So long as they don't offer us some crappy animation for Snowy, then I'll be ok. Fingers crossed for a real, well trained, dog!

Well the whole movie is an animated movie.
