The Isolated Blurt BDSM Thread

When I went bra shopping a few weeks ago I was measured as a 44DD.

When I tried a few on, I was muffin topping, so we moved up to a 44DDD and beautiful boosom. But I thought the band felt a tad loose. After wearing them for a few weeks, the band is deffinately sliding.

So when I went back last week to buy new ones, I decided to go down to a 42DDD, but they didn't have any in the store for me to try on in the style I like. They arived in the mail today. The band feels good, though I'm worried after a few wears it will be too loose, but I have a little bit of a muffin top again. I loosened the straps, and that helped some, but there's still just that hint of spill over.

Maybe a 40F would fit better?

If a 42DDD is fitting with a bit of spill, but you're worried @ the back stretching too quickly, try either a 40G or 40H. An F and a DDD are essentially the same cup size, and the cup depth is graded accotsing to the band size - so you can't go down a band without going up a cup.

So CM...are a 38D and a 40C actually the same size??? Just curious...

Yes... And no.

99.9% of the time the smaller band will = the "true size", except in a style/collection that is cut firmer at the back (power mesh vs. microfiber for example). A 40C could be an acceptable "cross size", but odds are good the under wire will be off by about 1/8" from true, and the bra would need to be worn from the start on the tightest (or middle) hook, instead of the loosest - shortening the lifespan of the bra because once the elastic stretches there won't be any way to firm things up.

Thanks CM. :)

The company lists F as the next size, hince my question.

I think I'm facing both me being an odd shape and the bra design as an issue.

I think I'm going to wear the new ones a few times before I buy more. Like I said, originally the first pair felt great and just have worn out a bit. (and they were fitted to the middle hooks per the "gain an inch loose an inch" guide lines). I really love these bras. I've even been hand washing and laying flat to dry as apose to throwing them in the washer like I usually do.

I just have coupons and I guess I'm a bit antsy to cash in. But better to wait and get something that will last rather than buy now and be disapointed. (My goal is 8 bras I can switch out so I can wear a different one every day and one on wash day so far I've hit some amazing sales and managed 4 at nearly less than 1/2 price.)

Penn Jillette just thanked me for showing him my naked pictures, which he had asked to see. *dies*

Okay, you know you need laid when you look down and see the beautiful sight of your own perfect cleavage (God I love this bra!) and the stuffed sea turtle in your lap and decide to use the turtle to turtle-face hump your boobs.

I swear we could power a small country on my libido.

Wenchie, we need to like...meld our boob types into two more-normal boob sets. I have almost the exact opposite of your problem.

of course, part of that is compounded by the fact I shop at target and lingerie stores make me decidedly uncomfortable the entire time I'm there (so I never go to them)

Okay, as some one who used to get upset to pay $15 for a bra lemme tell you this.

I was a Walmart only shopper for bras. I hated to wear them, and didn't see much point in spending gobs of money on them since there was never pretty ones in my size anyway. Then last Christmas I got stuck with a JCPenny gift card from work. I tried 3 times to find something there that I liked and failed. On try number 4, after destroying yet another $15 bra after only 4 weeks, I decided to try their bras, since you know, it was $25 for free. I ended up with two that felt better than anything I had ever worn before and after the gift card only spent $15 because of a sale.

After that I decided to look into better than Walmart bras. I tried Victoria Secret, but they don't stock past a D cup and online only goes up to DD. So now I'm feeling like a fat ass again, I decided, you know what if I'm going to be a fat ass, I'm going to shop in a fat ass store, at least they might have cute clothes!

Popped over to Lane Bryant. Was measured and handed a few bras to try on. Groped by the sales girl (it's okay, I told her I'm not body shy and needed opinions/help) until we found a bra that gave me amazing cleavage, low cut for my low cut shirts (Hey my tits draw attention away from the tummy!), and just over all make my boobs look amazing. I AM in LOVE! I spent $65 that first day, got 2 bras and 5 panties (all matching). And got a $25 off $50 purchase card. Then got an email for 20% off and a snail mail for 30% off. Used the 30% got two more bras and another $25 card, and spent under $40.

I used to think I could only feel sexy in a corset. And I used to think I would never have matching bra and pantie sets again. And I used to think I would never have a cute bra, let alone a cute bra that made me feel sexy as hell. I have been converted!

Now if I could only find panties that did the same. *giggles*

ETA: If we did some how meld and divide our boobs into more perfect pairs, mine would have to remain relatively the same size or larger. Jounar already calls my tits "little". Dude must have either dated some porn stars or really fat chicks before me, because I'm pretty busty even for my porportions. And he has had my boobs in person, and still stands behind his "sweet little tits" comment.

People keep telling me stories that are similar to this. It's not that I think people are wrong either! I'm sure my boobs would be much happier. But I'm still really uncomfortable shopping for bras, and I'm DEFINITELY body shy. Or, rather, I have a huge personal space bubble, if you get the distinction. Although strangely enough, I'm perfectly comfortable with the gyne, who gets far more up in my business than anyone.

Anyway, it's not really a huge deal, since my boobs are small and shaped reasonably enough that, come winter, I actually can spend most of my time bra-less *cackle* So it's easy for me to keep hiding away in Target. If you ever see someone ghost bra-shopping, only sliding into the section when no one is around and looking awkward and going else where if someone else shows up, you'll know who's in town!! :p

While I'm not body shy, I am hugely people shy, so this was my first time doing anything where I had to actually talk to a person. Big huge step in wenchie land. So I understand. This year has been all about taking care of me, and boosting my confidence, so this plays a huge part of that.

I hate bra-shopping, too. Everybody raves over Lane Bryant's stuff, but it doesn't work for shit for me. It's like Victoria's Secret for fat people--overpriced, subpar stuff that's not proportioned to fit correctly. AND they don't even carry cup sizes big enough for me in their stores. I've given up ordering "good" bras online, too, because I invariably order the wrong damn size.

I need to fly out to where Ms. Mouse is and just let her handle this for me. :p

Bunny, out of all of the styles they had, I only found one very specific one that worked for me. Their "most popular" one, the balconette, made me feel like a granny. And like I mentioned originally they measured me at a different size than what is working out.

I think it's a lot like dating, a lot of trial and error until you find "the one"

Unless of course you do hook up with Ms. Mouse; I think that would even the odds out greatly.

The band sizes are always too big for me, and the cup sizes are too small. My tits are always spilling over the top. Then, the underwire digs into my damned underarms, and I hate it. But I haven't gone bra-shopping in awhile, either, so my experience could be dated.

Have I mentioned that I don't date anymore? :p

I know, right? :D

I keep reading the above comments and thinking "Dammit I wish I could my hands on those women, because NONE of them are the sizes they think they are, and and and lingerie shopping with ME is like the funnest kind of shopping on the PLANET..."

ETA - I'm also jealous as ****l that Wenchie can get 2 bras & 5 panties for $65. Jealous. Jealous. Jealous.

Hopefully will get a few days soon.

Hope your wait doesn't kill you and your visit is fab!

Having done the next best thing to what CM describes, I can verify that she is correct in all counts. I got fitted by somebody who was trained by CM, and I love love love the bras I got there! Of course it was $125 for two bras, ouch, but they are awesome!

I'm pretty sure I'd sell my *soul* for something that fit right. :p

lol, i'm sure I'm not the size I think I am...but regardless, I have small boobs and a thick torso. So it's still a pain even if I'm wrong :p
