As for the transfer I'm not very happy about it. I was just getting used to the store I'm in now, had a plan set for the next 8 weeks I was suposed to be there, and they're moving me. And I'm going back to work for the same GM that I was at the store before this one. The same GM that I've worked for most of my career. The same GM that drives me batshit crazy because she's very high strung and so makes me that way. It's going to be super stressful, in a busier store than I've ever been in, with crew who are mostly hispanic (and not really great workers, no these guys are the type who like to pretend they don't know English when you tell them to do something they don't want to do). She's demanding that I come there now, instead of sending a temp there and keeping me where I am for a couple of months. The store is filthy, the people are rude, and I'll be speaking as much Spanish as English.

I'm not happy about it, but I have to keep positive. At least it's still only a 15 minute drive from my house, so I will still be saving on gas compaired to where I've been for 3 years, and it's not the worst store that I've ever been in, and this GM has been rated "excellent" for 3 years in a row so *maybe* it's not a terrible thing to have her demanding me to come work there.

Hmmm... from this, plus your ability to make yourself understood to "non-English speaking" Hispanics, my theory about you perhaps being utilized as a troubleshooter for stores with issues seems to have gained some additional credibility. You know, getting that kind of reputation - of going into troubled operations and improving them without undue drama or harshness - can be a really good thing when it comes time for promotions (and raises!) to be handed out... and (especially if you can get it confirmed by upper management in some way, preferably in writing) can look really, really good on a resumé. ;)

Yes, but that would involve some one some where admitting I'm not a fuck up like they keep telling me I am. :rolleyes:

I know I should be able to use the fact that this GM is insisting that I come now and disrupt two stores rather than keep me in place and disrupt them when things are a bit more calm to my advantage, but being the person I am, I have a hard time figuring out how to do that. And even when I can see how I could do it, I have too much guilt to follow through. :rolleyes:

*sigh* I'm going to keep looking and hoping for that desk job with dependable hours.

Hotel rooms

Wow. I wish I was getting some of what is happening in the hotel room next to mine. That is some serious enthusiasm and endurance. Only a few more hours and a plane ride between me and my love!

My ex did this mostly when I refused to have sex with him. Hey dipshit, if you had treated me properly and showed me affection once in a while maybe you'd have got a bit :rolleyes:
