I agree in regards to 2005, many awful events, personally as well as globally.
The horrors in Pakistan seem almost surreal, but I was listening to the news last night, and the U.S. sent cash and troops to Pakistan to help in the relief effort. I became annoyed with that report, it seems the U.S. needs to deal with it's own relief efforts before we should be going anywhere else.
I am sure the Katrina victims need their country at this time.

Yes, on the other hand I believe the US does have a responsibility to stabilize Iraq. To leave now would be even worse than starting the war in the first place.INSIDEYOURMIND said:I saw a bumper sticker today, it said exactly what I was thinking..................
REBUILD NEW ORLEANS, NOT IRAQ!

New Orleans pretty much left our news completely, so I have no way knowing how it's going there. (Ok, yes, I could look at American news pages, but hey, there is stuff going on here (we finally seem to be getting a new government only 3 weeks or so after the election...graceanne said:Yeah, I agree, but they're putting more effort into Iraq then New Orleans, and NO is in our own freaken country!

Killishandra said:I feel like getting a tattoo tonight. Course, I'm not gonna, but the urge is still there. Something big, covering my whole back perhaps. I like the wings tattoo pic in the insomniacs thread... I can imagine those on my back, only the tips of the wings trailing down onto my buttocks.
We need disappearing ink tattoos. They'll last one year, then vanish. I'd go for it.
