my "Top" is gone to Ontario for 2 weeks, no-one to play with...

feel like I am in Subbie drop or at least going into withdrawl... :(

we normally "play" on saturdays, so it will now be 3 weeks till we play again :(

*sniffles *

Wishes I could be like the others & enjoy playing with anyone,
but I have that trust thing fetching me up & holding me back...

I don't know much about name brands, but I've gotten online with Fred Meyers, Walmart, Payless, Kmart, Nordstrom's and Mervyns. Nordie's has some that would work but they're freaken $45 dollars. I'm not spending $45 on shoes that they will outgrow in three or four months! I wanna get ahold of one of those idiot fashion designers and SHAKE THEM.

Oh, and I'd prefer that their be no cartoon characters on them, either.

Try Lands End action sandals. They are a staple in my daughter's summer wardrobe. She outgrows them before she wears them out.

Sierra Trading Post has Tevas for a good price too.

My grandson wants to go to the library. I want to lie in bed and read.

My grandson wants Mc Donald's for lunch. Ok. I can get behind that one.

My grandson wants to torment the hamster JoJO. He has a death wish, cause I love the hamster.

Uh oh. Here comes the grandson. Gotta go.

**Sigh**

i went to bed thinking about you...and i woke up thinking about you...L.N. (i told you this was an "issue.") **giggles** i miss you, Daddy...

I had fabulous, mutually satisfying, gasps of joy sex last night. *glowing*

Thank you, everyone. Those all have good sites, too. Now I guess I'm gonna have to stop being lazy and get a checking acct so I can get them offline.

I have discovered, by looking through these sites, that dressing your children sensibly is expensive. *grr* I don't know what that says about the 'lower classes', but I have this mental image of some mothers face when I let her know what buying her daughter those high heeled sandles is making it impossible for those of us that have sense to buy clothes for our kids.

Good thing I would never actually do thta.

1 sheep, 2 sheep, 3 sheep, snore...

Often, when I can't sleep (for whatever reason), I've found that stripping the bed, putting a clean set of linens on, nice and tight and smooth, is just the ticket. Other times, it takes chemical or alcoholic (or both) assistance. Those other times, I don't like. I don't like depending on an artificial means of getting what my body should be giving me naturally. I don't like the potential harms that can arise from using them. I take enough pills and liquids for other things - I don't want to make a habit of adding a glass of bourbon and Diet Coke or a "sleeping aid" to that chemical cocktail.

What "natural" means have you discovered to help ease the transition into sleep when it doesn't want to come when it should?

it took me a few weeks to do it but I always had one flavour of tea
(decaff apple cinnamon actually) that I only had before bed...
I had ONE every night about an hour b4 I wanted to sleep...
I would go to bed after having it & close my eyes...
didn't matter if I slept or not, but I stayed there...
after 2 weeks I started to fall asleep alot easier, and by the 3rd week I was out like a light...
I don't do it anymore, but if I find I am having trouble sleeping again all I need to do is make a Apple Cinnamon tea :)

P.S. It doesn't have to be tea, but as long as the "action" is a relaxing consistant, you can train your brain to recognize that trigger as a shut down switch. just remember you CANNOT have that action in ANY other part of your life so make sure you choose wisely... (I had apple cinnamon tea at tim hortons & couldn't finish the drive I was doing without a 2 hr nap :()

Chamomile tea always helps K. I've found that a hot bath and a book, or some time writing in a my journal helps. Just remember - you don't actually have to write anything in particular, just let your mind ramble and your hands follow.

What I can tell you, from some research, is that something about the lights of the television and computer screne will keep you up and make your insomnia worse.

I want to hang out and play here tonight, but i'm just a little drunk, a very rare occasion for me - and I'm lonely and angry. So the best thing is for me to just go away and start up again later on another day.

Later everyone.
