I've heard of it in compost piles. The rotting vegetables put out a LOT of oxygen, and heat. Plus, put your hand near a compost pile, even in winter, and it's warm.

I've never heard of it in wood mulch, although I guess it makes sense. Wood rots, too. lol

So far my store has had 2 fires out side of the building....One on opening day some one decided to throw a cig butt in the multch which was extreamly dry because it was hot and no rain and our sprinklers weren't working yet (infact I was assigned the job of watering the flowers a few days until the sprinklers were fixed  ), the second happened last week. One of our electrical boxes out side started smoking....we still don't know why that happened, but it was one of the hotest days so far this summer, so some one said maybe it just over heated. *shrug* and wouldn't you know it, both times it happened on my shift.

It can happen to hay barns, too, if the hay's not allowed to dry enough before being baled. Hay is really unstable, and most people who keep animals try not to have more than just a few bales in the same building with their animals. The bulk of the hay is kept in a separate building to keep disasters from happening. It's kind of scary, if you think about it.

<wanders off to go check the temp of the hundreds of hay bails next to the barn>

i was forced to see a therapist today. during the appointment, the type of relationship i had came out. lets just say it could have gone better. a lot better. :(

its ok... forced becuase my parents get overly worried about me and wanted me to "check base" with my old therapist who i havnt seen in a good long while before i leave for school again.... i finally got tired of explaining that im fine without seeing anyone, have been for almost a full year, and will remain fine, and gave in and saw the therapist.

she freaked and now i have an appointment this weekend to discuss my "complex relationship issues". i am fully prepared to leave that building on saturday and never go back.

Oh hon, I am so sorry. I feel so protective when somebody's therapist is pulling this shit with them. Is there anything we can do? Maybe somebody on the Kink Aware Professionals list can help?

Special note: When Etoile starts whipping out the image macros and the lolcats, the thread is essentially over.

just be prepared for me to be very frustrated on saturday once i get back. at this point in my life, i really am fine without a therapist, but as i am bipolar, odds are more then good that at some point in my future it will be helpful to have one. this is why i really hope mine doesnt try to pull something. i ould hate to have to find a new one at this point.

MIS, not that you asked for advice, but as much as it sucks to leave the safety zone of an old therapist (my first therapist knew me from the age of 14, dealt with insane family issues, clinical depression, borderline suicide issues, blahblahblahblahblah), sometimes when you hit adulthood, the best thing you can do is find a therapist who is capable of seeing you as an adult.

I know they aren't supposed to, but they do get attached, ya know. (Says the woman who got "atta girl" phone calls from my first therapist - whom I hadn't seen in *years* - every time I had a baby, when I got divorced, etc). Hell, my second therapist came to my going away party when I decided to start life over and move 800 miles. LOL

I was scared to death to find a new therapist when my marriage was failing, but it's honestly the best damned thing I ever did.

:rose:

((((((hugs MIS)))))) Good luck, hon. I've never found a therapist who did squat for me. So I don't have one to recommend. But I do wish you well & will be thinking of ya. :)

{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}} MIS
I am so sorry that things are so tough for you right now. Hopefully you can get through Saturday and get back to school without anything more traumatic happening.

Ug. *hugs* I'm sorry MIS. I've yet to find a shrink worth a damn, I'm sorry that yours freaked out.

What the fuck did I do this time? And how do I break the silent treatment yet again? It's such a childish manner of dealing with things, jackass.

Chit! I planned to be in bed by 11, asleep by 11:30 or 11:45, and up at 7, because I need to work my butt off tomorrow... and it's now 1:42, and I'm not in the least bit sleepy. Chit, chit, chit! So now I'm going to have to work slightly groggy and grumpy. <Sigh>

My ex used to do that to me....I've since realised it's manipulative, emotionally abusive and as you said childish. That's partly why he's now my ex, and also why I tend to withdraw into myself and avoid confrontation whenever possible....luckily Master Gil doesn't allow that and even though it's like pulling teeth, He will get me to say what's on my mind (which can only be a good thing and improve our relationship). As He said, how can He know what's wrong if I don't tell Him?

Sorry you're going through this Bunny *Hugs* :rose:

Why am I so crap at spotting trolls? What is it in me that gives everyone the benefit of the doubt? I am so gullible.

Damn it! Why can't we just get over ourselves and cyber? Why do we have to over analyze our shit? Oh wait...it's because you're having fun and I'm not and you don't need to cyber with me. Fuck I need a cold shower. :(

WTF! Is it hormones? Now, I'm feeling all switchy and imagining myself just about to sit on the face of a younger man with him saying "Look Mistress. No hands!"

Fucking late 30s hormones. :p

Sorry you're going through this Bunny *Hugs* :rose:

My mother does the silent treatment, and it sends me instantly into pissed off. I just DO NOT have the patience for that kind of juvenile crap.
