I'm sure people will understand, that it was quite a challenge for someone as innocent as me to write something, um.....not *nods*

Challenge or not, it was finely done. :rose:

FUCKING PEOPLE NEED TO TAKE CARE OF THEIR OWN KIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The little girl that lives two doors down from me just came and knocked on my door and asked for something to eat because her mom is "asleep," and she hasn't eaten all day. It's fucking 3:25 in the afternoon here. She's four years old, skinny as a rail, and IMO, neglected. Her mother is a drug addict. i fed her, and she's back to playing outside. i also invited her back for dinner.

What makes it worse is just by looking at her little face you can tell that she is profoundly sad. Her eyes are empty...no light...no joy... Hits a little too close to home.
You really should call your local Department of Children's Services (or whatever they call it in your jurisdiction). The child - any child - deserves better than begging from the neighbors because her mother has nodded out.

i'm strongly considering it. The grandmother also lives with them, but she was at work today when this happened. If she comes back over for dinner, i think i will be calling in the morning. i know she deserves better, but i am glad she came over and asked me instead of just staying hungry all day. i'm making extra dinner. If she doesn't come over, i'll eat leftovers for lunch tomorrow but if she does i want to make sure there is more than enough. i'm kinda hoping she does so at least i know she has something good in her belly when she goes to bed tonight.

WAY. TOO. CLOSE. TO. HOME.

She is lucky to have someone as wonderful as you close by....

oh, HM, thats horrible. im so sad for her and so glad you are such an amazing caring person.

<sarcasm>

Could we please make things just a wee bit MORE complicated? Cause ya know it isn't as if it's complicated ENOUGH already, the universe has to go and add MORE chaos to the mix.

</sarcasm>

:rolleyes:

I hear ya. Their's this kid, Xavier, who comes around my house once or twice a day and asks for a sandwich. he normally hangs out and watches tv for a bit. I've had him till 9 in the evening, and he only went home cause I sent him home. I've never seen a parent. Not once.

I don't know about other people, but my kids are not allowed to go into othe rpeople's houses, let alone eat their food, until i've met them.

Sods law states mistakes of the past cannot be put right. They haunt you, taunt you with the niggling emotion of "What if?"

Why must everything be discussed and analyzed and utterly demystified? Does no one bear the confidence to let their feelings be their own without validating them by having the masses concur, reflect and approve? Is emotional exhibitionism that much of a turn-on? It's like a perverted coffee klatch that meets far too often with nothing left to discuss but dollars off coupons for sex toys and badly made porn. What ever happened to intimacy being intimate; secrets shared and whispered, the us-against-the-world dynamic? So much of it is self-serving at best and condescending snobbery at worst; it's fucking staggering. Own your fucking kink and get on with it for fuck's sake.

Disclaimer: Blah, blah, fucking blah.
