An on-line friend suggested I may be more comfy with canes or crops if I was concerned with precision on the landing... the floggers to an unexperienced person very concerned with hitting the wrong spot may not be mentally comfy to be using. He suggested a crop or even a cane with some guidance & a willing recipient that would give me feedback about pain, placement & timing...He also told me to be VERY careful & start light as the cane is a sharp pain & can cause some very guilt rearing markings...
I was told the marks I left were very uniform & well spaced...
(I can flogg too I learned... but ONLY with a denim flogger...very soft)

The Adenium or "Desert Rose" is an extraordinary tropical plant coming essentially from East Africa, where it is found under different subspecies in countries like Sudan, Yemen, Socotra , Namibia, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. The appellation appears to become from "Aden," which should indicate the area of the Gulf which has the same name, at the mouth of the Red Sea on the Indian Ocean side.
It is a small tree, under which principal characteristics are:
- A caudex, sort of big bulge under the branches
- A beautiful and abundant flowering, with colors from pale rose to dark red
- Longevity, many hundred years
- Resistance to dryness.
The Adenium has naturally the aspect of a bonsaï but is not one.
It is almost impossible to stay indifferent in front of this plant, going from curiosity at the begining to admiration and often respect finally...
