3 week old tight but still business apropriate shirt....still tight around the bust but loose every where else.

I'm photo-editing a sueded silk nightgown from the late 1920s - mid 30s, and it's giving me the vapors.

The lace bodice is perfectly cut, so that swirls of lace "feathers" wrap around each breast. I swear the applique at the Empire waist is symetrical down to the millimeter; the same applique ends in perfect symmetry at the back, and helps attach a bustle treatment, which ends in a short train.

The entire piece is hand sewn. Not sewn at home or by a tailor on a single needle machine... I mean sitting in a rocking chair with a needle and thread hand sewn.

I finally had to take it off the dress form, because I kept fondling it and wasn't getting any work done.

Meh... depends. If I were a really real well established dealer with a physical location, established clientel, etc... an argument could probably be made for $500 +.

But I'm not.

I don't think I'll let it go for less than $150; I'd prefer $200+, but that depends on finding the right client at the right time.

(BTW, it's a nightgown, not a dress. )
