And in an unrelated blurt:

When you wake up in the morning with a sinus headache, it's a good sign you forgot to take your loratadine (Claritin) the night before. <Sigh>

Are you trying to tell me something?

And here I figured I was on iced tea withdrawl.

Wow - 5 hours + since the last blurt.

Oh...

Finally, somebody coming up with an idea that looks like it might work to provide a personal electricity source for people in the third world and should be affordable, especially if manufactured in large numbers.

Neat video of the inventor explaining (in simple language) the origins of the idea and how the generator works.

That is pretty impressive. It's hard to believe that its something so simple

I want to know what the fuck is going on with my eyes. I'm tired of waking up with them almost swollen shut.

I'm tired of them burning more when I touch them (eyelids), and I'm tired of the skin of my eyelids feeling rough.

It hurts. It's miserable-making. It needs to stop.

*sigh* I see my doc on Wednesday.

Have you tried cool compresses and/or eye drops?

My eyes are often swollen from lack of sleep btw.

I don't understand why someone doesn't stick up for the underdog. I'm really frustrated right now.

I'd stick up for you if I was allowed.

I'm so freakin' tired. And I've got such a busy week ahead of me. Definitely getting ready for bed now.

Meh. Me, too. 2:15 a.m. and I've got three days' worth of work to get done in the next two days, and six days' worth in the next four, along with taking my mother to her doctor's appointment Monday afternoon and going to my own doctor's appointment Wednesday. Good thing I work at home and can do my stuff well into the nights -- cuz I will be. <Sigh>

Heh. Last time I stuck up for someone, I got accused of being a "white knight". Well, I'm white and I like to be called "Sir"... so maybe it works.

Sorry to hear that. I can comiserate to a certain extent. I'm taking this week off and expected to spend time tomorrow finishing up some things at work. Instead I'm in here tonight, and It's thrown everything off. I can't do what wanted to do at this point so I will have to take work with me.

And the beat(ing) goes on ...

  • Florida delivered a beat down to Ohio State last year in the NCAA College Football National Championship Game.
  • Michigan got beat by a Div IAA school the first week of the new season, then followed up with an ass raping by Oregon the next week.
  • Louisville got humiliated by Syracuse and Utah
  • Oklahoma ran up the score on its opponents the first four weeks only to get embarrassed by lowly Colorado.
  • WVU got punked for the second year in a row by upstart USF.
  • Florida got embarrassed in the swamp by Auburn, then couldn't hold it together against LSU .
  • Auburn laid down for Mississippi in week three, and barely made it past Arkansas.
  • Arkansas blew it against Bama in week one, and currently trail Vandy in conference wins.
  • Kentucky blew it against the South Carolina 'cocks who got buried by LSU who got stuffed by Kentucky in 3OT
  • Georgia took it deep and hard from Tennessee who suffered just as bad from CAL
  • CAL got Beaver slapped one week after the SC Trojans got dicked by the bottom feeder Stanford.
And yes, i know i've missed a few.

Absolutely funny? Ohio State just took over the sacrificial lamb spot at #1

How the worm does turn. They should have named it the NCAA Switch League.

LOL interesting way of putting it. My old team is really a mess with all of their jailbird players.

*Sprinkles applies to Michigan and tries out for football team* :nana:

Love when I make a goal a reality

So, "they" say that we should all walk at least 10,000 steps a day to be healthy. I've tried using a pedometer before to track my steps for the last 4 years or so, but because I didn't walk correctly due to my accident, the darned thing would never record correctly. I walked too slow with too short and soft a step.

After tremendous hard work on learning how to walk correctly and to be able to tolerate the pain of walking, I decided to try it out again today. YAY!!! I finally walk normal so it will record!!!! So, I only wore the pedometer to the grocery store and around my apartment for a few hours, and in that time I took 1,501 steps!!! I know that doesn't seem like a lot, especially if the goal is 10,000 steps, but coming from being bedridden for over a year seven years ago, to 1,501 steps in part of a day is quite an accomplishment for me.
*pats self on back*

Now I'm going to wear it every day and record my number of steps. I WILL eventually make the 10,000 steps in one day!!!

How much $$ do they pay these cheesy ass actors for infomercials? You'd think some products were more stimulating that sex. The *excitement* is overwhelming.
