I'm right, Milano's wrong! Not wrong per se, I'd say. Just a little too cold (think boots and winter coats) and a little too dark (think no more sun when I leave the office at 5pm). And a "little" too cold is only because I've come from Germany where it's even colder. I want to move somewhere where daytime temp never drops any lower than 15C on a very cold day.

i HATE that our schedules are so differentwhen we are at school. i had planned out something special for this evening, with his instruction and permission, and he went out to a party! i cant fault him for having fun, but now im not sure whether i should follow through even though he isnt watching like he wanted to or say fuck it. i dont know if hell be happy to find out that ive done it when i was supposed to or happy to find out that i waited for him. theres a chance hell be upset if i do without him there and a chance hell be upset if i choose not to do it tonight. and i cant ask him becuase he is in a loud crowded place and can barely hear me on the phone, let alone have a personal conversation.

I'm getting a phobia about going to bed now....lol, no, I know he is scary but that is a good reason to go there....I am just tired of getting all tucked in nice and then being wide awake. I got 1 hour last night between menopausal insomnia and pain from arthritus in places I had not had it before and to the point of being nauseated. I just want to sleep well again!!

I soooo understand where you are coming from. I actually have found that a heated matress pad set on low helps me not hurt quite so badly, so I can get some sleep. I got one with dual controls so D doesn't have to cook too. LOL. Hope you get some sleep soon Cat.

Conversation at the restaurant last night:

Waiter: would you prefer salad or soup of the day?
Me: what sort of soup?
Waiter: Clam chowder
Me: salad please

then a few minutes later:

Me: are the grilled chicken linguini and the shrimp scampi cooked on the same grill?
Waiter: I don't know
Me: Would you mind checking please?
Waiter: Just a moment. (a few minutes later) Yes they are.
Me: I'll have the marinara shells then.
Waiter: You're sure?
Me: I'm deathly allergic to shellfish.
Waiter: (condescending smile) We get that a lot, it's really just the iodine when the shrimps a few days old. You'll be fine if you want the chicken linguine, because our shrimp was swimming' a few hours ago.
Me: Actually, it's not the iodine, it's the strawberry sized hives and the anaphylactic shock. Check please!

Waiter throws an attitude down on the table with the check and tries to charge us for the whole meal, including the entrée that I hadn't actually finished ordering yet!

Me, smiling oh so sweetly: Is the owner in tonight? I think we need to have a little chat...

After throwing a polite but nasty snit at the owner, I have 2 comped meals at a restaurant I don't dare eat at because I don't trust the food. Who wants dinner for two at Chez Stupide?

PS: I didn't mind paying for the drinks we'd drunk, but since the food hadn't actually been ordered and the asswipe had the nerve to add fifteen percent to the total for the tip, I saw RED. Too bad really, since the now unemployed waiter probably needs the cash.

Today sucks on so many counts.

It started with me feeling crap. Then whilst I was out I had to rescue a baby magpie that had fallen from a tree. Taking it to the vets meant taking it away from its mum ......I cried my eyes out.

Then got home to discover I had washed and dried my vibrator along with my bedding....so now its a ball of rubber. Great.

So far not so good and its only 6pm. There's lots more potential yet for it to get worse. Much worse.

YAY! Lots of pictures please! What kind of camera? It's funny, most peeps around here want to know breastage and penicular stats, and Cat and I are all "what's your focal length?" and "How many MPs?" I feel like such a nerd.

He got me a Sony Cyber-shot.It's got 7.2 mega pixels. I've only had a chance to take a couple of pictures, so far, mostly cause the battery had to charge most of last night, and I've been too busy today to take pictures. Tomorrow's my aunt's christmast party, and I plan to take LOTS of pictures, including some of her backyard. (I swear my aunt should be a landscaper.)

The backyard ones I'll put on the photography thread, and the rest will go to my picture site (the link is below). Remember, the password is my real name (all lower case), and if you don't know my real name (and want to) just PM me. I just mostly don't want people I don't know seeing pictures of me or my kids. I can't think of any regulars here that I'd mind. Especially if you remember to tell me what gorgeous kids I have.

Ohh Congratulations on the move, sounds like a wonderful adventure.

I'll scan a toddler photo of me one day, I had blonde curls in profusion.

It's kind of disturbing, which has it's own merit in a Cindy Brady kind of way.
