The Isolated Blurt Thread XXXVII: You're Welcome, Fuckers

so, more or less everything in the ground that's going in, though I may add one or two cantaloupe plants.. possibly some fennel but I'm not really a fan of liquorice flavour outside of actual liquorice sweeties. Perhaps a few cabbages. The tomatoes and peppers went in this morning and I just put the drive belt back on the mower AGAIN where it skipped off its wheel when H was mowing in the too long grass.

Finally got a date for H's cancer surgery... Tuesday week. (y)

Fingers crossed for him

yesterday was busy; H was mowing in the long stuff and I had to reseat the drive belt twice... guess we need a new belt with less give in it. The bed I had ready for corn but the last third didn't get planted, saw me weeding & fertilizing and transplanting some of the regular green bean plants. I'd grown them from seed and planted them fairly close together since they were supposed to be thinned out as they grew. They were doing so well, though, it seemed a crime to toss the extras away and the support frame would never have held them up, so 10 got moved to their new home and seem happy enough. :)

today is a tale of laundry, and more laundry. *sigh*

today has been a day of vacuuming while his mum had her hair permed, clipping back the overgrowth of a mock orange shrub rowing way too tall, and making a couple of raisin and apricot soda bread loaves.
