H has been really busy, mowing in the yards and getting the grocery shopping, getting back into his regular summer groove as he heals up. After my morning outdoors stuff, I've been making the scotch eggs and devilled eggs and helping his mum with her sudden desire to do a backlog of laundry to freshen things from her wardrobes. And she wanted her bed linen changed, the mattress turned and, of course, the bedding laundered, too which (of course) led to me doing our bedding too, as if I didn't have enough things to do already. Multiple trips back and forth across the house with the laundry baskets, lol. I vacuumed though and generally cleaned/tidied, leaving me just the making of the pudding and getting in a few more corn ears ready for tomorrow.

Am I cooking supper tonight? no, I am not. I know I should clean the kitchen floor before the morning but I may not get that far since my feet, ankles, knees and bad are all screaming... thank goodness for painkillers!

Heading out to buy a pork butt to smoke tomorrow. And maybe something to grill for dinner this evening. The bike ride was nice. Only two rude e-bikers on the trail today. Fuckers.

H is gonna do the kitchen floor, what a champ

everything else is ready-ish, all I have to do is cook corn and put food out for people to help themselves. The banana pudding is (bottom up) wafers, banana pudding mix, banana slices, repeat, then wafers, vanilla pudding, banana slices and topped off with vanilla pudding sprinkled with chopped chocolate bits

clean sheets on the bed better wash my feet first as I've been running around barefoot, inside and out

it was fun but a long day. Bro-in-law was already here when I got up about 9, and we all got a good catch-up-in-person chat while it was sunny, and more while the skies opened with a vengeance. The rest turned up about 1 and then it was noise, food, rowdy dominoes and lots of phone photo swapsies.
had a 2-hour nap after they all went home but feel I could sleep for a week. Guess I'm getting old
