The Jig is up

Of course they pretend that. No pol would ever let on anything else. It has been a long-standing tradition for Dems. to pit working white people against minorities to keep the forming any kind of alliance. They still do it.

Trump has.

No, Republicans pit working whites agaisnt minorities to prevent an alliance. But I'm not sure they really have to actively do it. Given what we've seen with things like the Confederate Flag a year or so back it seems like a case can be made that a significant portion of the white working class simply hates minorities more than they love themselves.

There is no excuse whatsoever for the South to not be voting up and down the ticket to fuck rich and take their stuff.

Blacks make up a disproportionate percentage of poor people in the US. That is why it appears as blacks commit more crime. Poor people commit more crimes than middle class or the rich.

Cause comes before effect.

Not to mention the rest of the system being rigged so even THOSE numbers aren't accurate. Which is hardly the point right now.

The whole System is rigged, which is why if you really want change you have to wreck it. Progressives don't want it wrecked, they want control which means they are not for change or hope or any of that other bullshit.

FYI, The Jig is up is a racist phrase used by the Klan to indicate they just lynched a black man.

I haven't heard a lot of ideas on what kind of system would not be rigged but would be functional.

It's far easier to corrupt a two party system, where power is concentrated in the hands of one party or another. There needs to be more choices and I dont mean token.

From time to time, there have been other choices - in 1948, in 1960, in 1968 and other times when there were candidates who affected the outcome but did not receive any electoral votes. And, there are always third-party candidates. Usually, these people or parties are strictly single-issue oriented and would be unable to govern even if they had been elected.

Which to me makes them not real choices. Now yes third parties can have arrisn. The Republicans were one once upon a time. But they inevitably either get absorbed into one of the other parties or in very rare cases replace one of the two.

Basic math and our system of voting assures that there will only be two parties at any given time. It's like people genuinely don't understand that if Gary Johnson wins the Swing States that Congress simply gets to pick who's president.

Most people already knew it, but it's nice that the illusion of Liberal/Progressive moral and ethical superiority has been dashed. The Democrats are equally corrupt and ruthless as the Republicans. So this stereotype of smarmy, unfair, bigoted Republicans applies equally to Democrats. But, everyone knew that anyway.

No such thing has happened. People have always thought that both parties were equally corrupt despite that not really being the case.

That's true but, this year, we might be better off electing Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck or Gary Johnson or almost anybody other than a major party candidate.

Except again. CONGRESS gets to pick. So . . .yeah that's not happening.

You think that one party was less corrupt at one point?

Three party system. Third party keeps the usually big two honest or the mob punishes them by bringing in the third choice. Not a fan of coalitions but it forces the party looking for support to seek at least a consensus with third party.

Adopt a Westminster style of government. Democratically elect a figurehead monarch to rule for life and let a PM with the combined powers of the executive, legislative and judicial rule. If they have a majority in the commons they can enact whatever laws they want as long as they are legal.

Your government is torn and divided and it trickles down to the electorate.

Silly Wabbits!

The Klan has never used any such expression. You don't get to retroactively use expressions. But thank you for playing, please receive your parting gift.

That may very well be true. I'm willing to admit that it's an opinion of mine. I just look at so many other things in the world and realize that people always seem to think the sky is falling.

This is the worst the country has ever been divided because apparently the 60's never happened. And I'm specifically told that my problem is my youth limits my perspective. Apparently the Race Riots were a fun jaunt compared to the BLM movement and the spitting on soldiers and calling them babie killers is nothing compared to Westboro Church.

The world is more dangerous than ever because having children do Bomb Drills and the a major military power trying to plant nukes next door is easier and safer than than some bums in the desert.

I lack perspective I suppose.

I think the GOP, as a group, is less corrupt than the Dems, but that's because the latter has more opportunity. Big cities tend to be run by Dem. bosses, such as Pendergast and Dailey and Boss Tweed. As I see it, if people weren't crooks, they would get honest jobs instead of being pols.

Can you believe this? One is worse than the other.

If you ever come to S.FL, I will take you to the Hitching post restaurant for lunch, my treat. There you can ask any of the male patrons what that expression means. :D

People can use words any way they want. Never my intent. Bottom line is business as usual will be coming to an end. The people won't stand for it.

This is true. But being corrupt is justified by the desire to help others. BWWAAAHAHAHAHA!
